I really need to share these, because they have been bugging me for quite some time. I do not mean to look for mistakes, but it is just a habit of mine to critique things I am reading/doing.taking part in, etc...

I read over the manual and found several mistakes. I also found some serious mistakes in the coding of the game while playing. Let me be quite and just post some pictures. Again, there are several errors found throughout the instruction manual and game text, so here are a few for some quick examples.

Wrong Picture inserted in the Instruction Manual

Missing word needed - Last sentence bottom section

Game text is incorrect here...

another missing word... arrgghhh!! (added 7-21-09)

Have you ever noticed this? (added 7-21-09)
**In regards to this link, every other character, whether they are Musou characters or generic characters, each of their character face/portrait art, as shown here, is faded out a little bit where minor color can be seen. Well, they forgot to dim down Pang Tong -_- **

These are just some of the many things I have found to be mistakes throughout the world of DW6E. People make mistakes, but these mistakes are just incredible. It is as if they do not care, and no one proofs the manual layout before printing the final version, nor proofing the actual game text before creating them on the Blu-Ray disc.

I have found mistakes in previous KOEI games, but this just tops it by far. What do you all think? Are you surprised? Don't care? I just had to post this and get some feedback. What do you all think?

In DW6:Empires, after you have a male with the Boisterous voice come back to battle after being defeated they say something along the lines of "I'm back, didja miss me?"

I've never seen "didja" before. KOEI likes to use slang I guess.

I'm not really surprised by the errors. It's very common with their games. They are a Japanese company afterall. You should see the "Install" screen for DW6. It's filled with so many typos.

Heh did you see in the english game of DW6E for DW3 opening edit?
It say "The force Filed" XD

the game is still good even with typo but the real kicker with typo was Double Dragon III on the nes "Bimmy & Jimmy" but yeah ...

And I see that in sound test it now say for Yi Long song Yi ling DW6 it was a simple error and not a big error

Yeah, I am not really surprised either with the amount of typos in these games even though they are hiliarous to see. I noticed a lot typos in the Dynasty Warriors 5 guidebook I own that were just as bad as these also the Kessen II manual had one where they called Zhou Yu a "she".

Dong Zhou is a typo me and Stratos saw once instead of Dong Zhuo.

I was like 'lol fail'
I'm gonna dig in for typos when I go back and play DW5/5XL and DW6:S on the PS3 since our PS2 is stupid and won't run them anymore.

Once, i had to eliminate 3 officers in 7 minutes

in objectives, it said eliminate 7 units in 3 minutes

when the battle started, it said "Defeat the enemy 3 unit within 7 minutes!"
Only brushes i use are the ones that came with photoshop.

The Italian manual for Kessen II has some of those mistakes too, and they are bad translations, not just typos.

From Mei Sanniang's profile:
"Da molto tempo è amico di Liu Bei, Guan Yu e Zhang Fei. [...] Eccelle nelle arti marziali ed è ineguagliato come arciere, è conosciuto per essere un po' imprudente"
For those who don't know Italian, "amico", "ineguagliato" and "conosciuto" are masculine. For a female it should be "amica", "ineguagliata", "conosciuta".

Same for Diao Chan:
"Cantante e fortemente innamorato di Liu Bei. Saggio, misericordioso, [...]".
So it would seem that KOEI supports male x male love XD (the first sentence translates as "Singer and strongly in love with Liu Bei").

Me too, in DW6 Special XD. At Hu Lao Gate it says "Dong Zhou's Main Camp".

Sorry if this get too off topic but I think there will alway be a typo in any three Kingdoms game and that Dynasty Wars was one of them ... who say when they are retreating "Retire retire" really XD and in Warrior of Fate as well with the "My Load" part coming from Kongming

I will play some more DW6E later to see if I can find any more is is already said and not have been said yet

Maybe just me being blind, but sometimes the "NEW!" next to events does not show up, when there actually are new events.

In the German version, there are also typos, but I can only remember one. Here's an example:

"Yan Liang wurde von den Treppen Guan Yus besiegt!"
(Yan Liang was defeated by the troops (however here stairs...) of Guan Yu)

Treppen means stairs.
It should have been Truppen. (that means troops)

I get that sometimes but I think that is more of a bug/glitch then a mistake/typo in the game.

Well one of the most obvious mistakes I had brought up several times is the Sun Jian capture base quote. Sun Jian says it as "I hereby claim this base as my own." where as on the screen it said "I hereby claim this base in the name of Wu!" With him being one of my favorites, it truly annoys me to see that everytime I play him.

Also there was the same thing with Zhen Ji's officer quote "Ahh your death throes are like music to my ears..." yet in the dialogue box it misses the word "like".

I never noticed any mistakes in this game (save for some dialouge mistakes) but then again, I dont usually pay much attention to small detail.

But its not the first time I have seen mistakes in KOEI. For example, though subtle, in the manual of SW2:

On the page with Kenshin and Kanetsugu, Kenshin's name isnt there, but the black bar where it should be is. And Kanetsugu's appears as "Naoe Kanestugu" (I dont remember what that style is called)

Mitsuhide's name also appears as, "Akechi Mitsuhide"

This REALLY amuses me for some reason...

I haven't noticed a lot of typos but then again I usually don't pay much attention to them. I probably need to watch for them now.

Actually that's correct. Japan, like China uses traditional name order, so it's family name first, then the given.

I know its correct. But thats not how it is in the game. Everyone else in the manual has the western styled name order, while Mitsuhide and Kantesugu are traditional. Kenshin's doesnt even show up

but being that this is DW6E and not SW2.... =D

Yeah if you play DW3 Guan Yu call this guy Hua Xiong Hua John I think it was funny

Just came across some more goodies!! (I will edit them into my main post too)

another missing word... arrgghhh!!

Have you ever noticed this?
In regards to this link, every other character, whether they are Musou characters or generic characters, each of their character face/portrait art, as shown here, is faded out a little bit where minor color can be seen. Well, they forgot to dim down Pang Tong -_-

Man I wish KOEI could hire me just for my editing skills, part-time, just as a fresh pair of eyes. I would even do it as volunteer work aside from college. I just can't stand how they pay people to do a crappy job... <_<
