To be honest I'm not really a soccer fan myself, but... this news has been 100% confirmed. And it makes me really sad.

See, Manchester United at one day decided that they're gonna do an Asian tour, facing all-star teams of Southeast Asia nations. One of the nations they're going to visit is Indonesia. Many Indonesians overjoyed with this news so they bought the ticket. MU also reserved their stay in Indonesia, in Ritz Carlton Hotel, in preparation of the big day. While the Indonesia All Star team is going to stay at JW Marriot Hotel.

However, this is Indonesia we're talking about. Obviously there's been issues that there will be a bombing in case MU comes. We tried to be positive, but...

It happens.

July 17th, 2009...

There's an explosion in Ritz Carlton Hotel, which costed the lives of around 9 people and 50 injureds. This shocking news eventually came to the ears of MU and they regrettably had to cancel their visit to Indonesia.

WHAT THE HELL INDONESIA?!!??!?!?

As an Indonesian citizen, I am thoroughly ashamed. This event is yet another dirt smeared to Indonesia's name, when we finally got the recognition by none other than the Red Devils themselves to make us a place for them to tour around... these stupid bombers act up. And look at how it costs us one golden opportunity to meet up with the famous soccer team!

I can only hope that MU, England and the world does not think of Indonesia even lower after this. And I hope that SBY will try to gather the resources of Indonesia to bring those bastards that masterminded the bombing to justice. And I give condolences to those who lost their families thanks to the bombing. And lastly...

I hope you bombing mastermind bastards burn in Hell.

This is NJB speaking... as... a disgruntled Indonesian thanks to this event.

I'm truly ashamed as an indonesian. What will Manchester United say about us?
Our country's reputation is low enough, but this bombing case really can make people think that Indonesians' are bastards.
I hope our president can take care of it.

On the bright side, though, MU at least still wants to honor their agreement, so instead of going to Indonesia, they still invite Indonesia All Star team to Malaysia, and they will settle the match there.

Still, the wound has been struck. It's not a problem whether Indo All Star can have a match with MU. But the land of Indonesia is once again in danger of being blacklisted as a site for other clubs to enter.

We have been waiting for along time for MU to come here and this happens. God, what is happening to our country ? We just have the election only like last week and now we have another mess.

By the way, I haven't bought the ticket for the supposed match cause local TVs will still show it live so now I feel less disappointed.

I didn't manage send my election choice to Indonesia  My Dad lost the envelope. I voted for "Lanjutkan!!" <_<

An explosion? Seriously. Meh, I don't care about soccer, but-- MU is only a soccer team, they have no other intention, only to visit Indonesia for a TOUR.

I'll be going back to Indonesia soon. Well not soon enough but...

BTW, Indonesians aren't bastards -_- there are just some idiots among us Indonesians really.

as a Malaysian and have been schooled at Indonesia for about 2 years, I have to say that I'm really dissapointed at the moment with the constant bombing. For some odd reason I'm thinking that the group that are doing this are some group who anti outsiders and want to keep their country to themselves. I have nothing against Indonesians I actually love Indonesia for many reasons when i stayed there for 2 years.

Yeah, there are radical groups here in Indonesia and what I hate the most is the FPI (Front Pembela Islam, somebody please translate it to English). They are a Muslim community but as a fellow Muslim I despise them cause seems like they always and only use violence to solve problems.

Plus, I highly doubt some of them are religious or even shalat and only join because they like violence I mean, I do love fighting but not for stupid reasons.

As an Indonesian and have stayed in Malaysia for almost 10 years... Well I can say Malaysia is pretty much the most peaceful country.

But I've had experience with many kinds of people's attitude here. Sorry to say but ALMOST none of them impressed me :(

If I'm lucky enough I'll get the ticket to watch their match ;)

Either that, or the bomber are disgruntled people who just can't take SBY-Budiono to win the election, thinking they are cheating and now, their jealousy costed us our chance to meet MU.

Bastards, keep to your own politics!

Oh, and MU's offer to get the match done in Malaysia was actually refused by Indonesia. I... just facepalmed hearing that news.

Haha. You know what this more sad for me. The fact that a Malaysian extremist from Johor is the one that most likely did this.
