DW6E - leveling up character weapons; Are you levlling everyone up?

General Posts: 332 Group: Members Member #15,022 Joined: April 25, 2008 Gender Male	ok folks so far so good for me. i have many of my caw's weapons up to level 10 and imbued and specialed. also i have many of the regulars done as well. a few of the generic officers only.. i intend to get the entire officer list to level 10 weapons. this is quite a task but i intend to do this. i wonder how many of you out there are going to do this. if not please tell us what your intensions are with leveling up charecter weapons and imbueing them to your likeing. for example right now i have a couple of charecters that i want to show you, Zhuge Liang level 10 phantom hand arrow site leach flash Flames, Blizzard, Rockfall, Recover this is one monster of a liang lol... i trigger the rockfall then i flame and blizzard then i musou wow.. Quatar Abu luxun sword level 10 flash, phantom hand, arrow site, leach balance. steal, hide, recover anyway it will take a long time to do every officer but i am well on my way to doing this. i will keep you all informed as i go on..

Posts: 3,661 Group: Members Member #4,250 Joined: November 19, 2006	Q@Q Jul 26 2009, 11:58 PM after every senario every level all characters that you have leveled up will return to 1 No they don't, you can chose to keep previous weapons from your last scenario to carry on to a new game with the bonus points. After you beat a scenario, go to Empire mode --> chose load --> pick the save data that is cleared --> then chose your settings including the bonus points to pick previous weapons and etc. Sometimes it may not carry over for some of your officers while most of them do get carried over but it just a bug. Right now my CAW of me has the following: Sun Quan's weapon lvl 10 Phantom Hand Mystic Seal Arrow Sight Flash True Musou - Blizzard for now lol. I haven't put any other skill with the weapon since I been working on leveling my other weapons up but my setup has made battle alot more easier for me because of these skills.

So far, I only have: Zhang Liao (+CAW) Sima Yi Xiahou Dun Zhang Jiao Cao Pi (+CAW) Cao Ren Yue Ying (Only CAW) And some other people I just tossed to lvl 10 without remembering.

Flash Specials: Brace True Musou (not that good) Focus (does it have an effect? ) Flames Xiahou Yuan Level 10 Imbues: Guardian Spirit Phantom Hand Arrow Sight Fire Seal Flash Specials: True Speed Blizzard Stun (or whatever it's called) Hide Cao Ren Level 10 Imbues: Guardian Spirit Phantom Hand (great!) General Posts: 332 Group: Members Member #15,022 Joined: April 25, 2008 Gender Male	focus is good to have, for weak charecters because it boosts their attack power for a set time. so if you are battleing a red looking officer and you hurry to do focus you could beat that officer down in the given time that focus is on. so yes it is worth it for some officers. try it on lu bu uh ohhhh that will be murder

Focus is really good when you have someone with awesome Charge Attacks. Break through his defence and knock him flat.

Posts: 2,718 Group: Members Member #9,336 Joined: August 23, 2007 Gender Male	I am levelling every characters weapon up, i did like 20 characters today, a way is do Land in chaos conquer all areas exept for one, and just keep using tax and more unique officers come to you..wehn you 999999 or w/e purchase the l.10 wepaon, it doesnt take too long, aslong as you have tax

I think he just dismisses the officer when the weapon is lvl 10. Then go for officers of higher level to take the land in the end. He just needs one, so it's no big deal.

General Posts: 332 Group: Members Member #15,022 Joined: April 25, 2008 Gender Male	well i do they are not bad if you ask me. i like that they added two kinds of strategists.. but their moveset is similar to yuan shao... so far i have a good amount of normal officers and caw's at level 10 with at least one add on. generic charecters i have ahhh maybe about 20 of them with level 7 or higher. but i remember that i gave dian wei a level up to 10 with good add ons . now i see he is a level 1 weapon that pissed me off..

青龙 Posts: 1,712 Group: Moderators Member #6,080 Joined: March 15, 2007	Using Bonus - Keep upgraded weapons twice, I got : Yao's Weapon LVL 10 (Yao is Female CAW name, it's Gan Ning weapons) Effects : - True Musou - Phantom Hand ? (the one that give reach+) - Flash - Swift Attack - (Another one but I don't remind the name XD) That give life sometimes Specials : - Double (Clone ?) - True Speed - Focalisation (or something like that XD give more in Attack for a moment) - Recover Liu Bei's weapon is LVL 10 too but no effects & special. Zhao Yun's weapon is also LVL 10 (he was in our team XD) without effects & specials Rouge (my bro CAW's name) weapon (correspond to Dian Wei's weapon) is also LVL 10. I think maybe SSX's weapon is lvl 10 but I'm not sure. Then actually levelling up the lvl 7 and more, weapon - Male CAW (Liu Bei's weapon) lvl 8 ; Female CAW (Zhou Yu's weapon) lvl 7 ; Zhuge Liang's weapon lvl 7 It cost money to upgrade all the weapons XD Edited by Qing Long, Jul 31 2009, 11:42 PM.

General Posts: 332 Group: Members Member #15,022 Joined: April 25, 2008 Gender Male	ummm is it just me or is this happening with all of you? i worked soooo hard in getting weapons up to lvl 10 with add on goodies. after a while say, 2nd play through, those weapons are going back to lvl 1 with no goodies..... WHAT IS THIS? is my efforts in vain? my dream of making all officers' weapons lvl 10 , both generic and main, will be in vain? why? perhaps , this thread was a waste then,, if this is supposed to happen... can someone help? does this happen to anyone of you?

I have only ever touched the Generic Li Dian. His Weapon is Lvl 10. Weapon Effects - Mystic Seal Concentration Arrow Sight Fire Seal Swift Strike Special Effects - Brace Focus Flames True Speed .

Otherwise...well,only weapons of characters that are dead in the scenario are resetted to Level 1 again for me...like when you level Sun Ce's weapon and then play Chi Bi/Three Kingdoms and after that Sun Ce again,his weapon is Level 1 again. @Devil Scholar: Everyone on the map.

Will the characters not from Chi Bi basically start from lvl one and get beaten easily by the higher level characters, that's what I meant ? Hope that's clearer. Well,the AI-controlled officers seem to have Renbu Rank 3 weapons,it doesn't matter if you have leveled them up or not. It does only count if you use the characters,then you will have the weapon you made for them. The thing with Yan Yu and such,you are right,they will have Level 1 weapons again.

I nearly completed it first time but I was worried that when I started again, most enemies were going to be weak and wish I'd of finished the chapters chronologically, s'pose things aren't so bad .

General Posts: 332 Group: Members Member #15,022 Joined: April 25, 2008 Gender Male	so from what i am hearing here now is, each senerio you play and carry over weapons, then those weapons will be used in the senerio you play a second time? or that doesn't matter? i do carry over the bonus stuff EVERY TIME I PLAY but, i have many charecters who had weapons like for example xiahou mao had a level 8 spear the next time i played he lost it... so does it matter what senerio you play?
