I think most of you have listened to music of the game and like them.

Instead of asking your favorite track, who is your favorite composer? (I have ignored some composers with only 1 or 2 works)

MASA: Guitarist. Main composer and sound director of Shin Sangokumusou series. Composer of SW1 and GM1.
OPENING THEME, THEME OF LU BU...too many to mention!!!!

Michihiko Shichi: Bass guitarist. Sound director of Sengoku Musou 1. Worked with MASA in Shin Sangokumusou series. Composer of DW2, DW3, DW4, DW5, DW5XL.
LOOK ALIVE!, [SW1]Ueda Castle, [SW1]Anegawa, [SW1&2]Mikatagahara...etc

Kenji Nakajo: Composer of DW3, DW4. Sound director of SW2 and SWK.
Only 8 in total: ARENA, LAST STAND, THE MEN OF INTELLIGENCE, THE HISTORY WILL TELL, STRAIGHT AHEAD, SACRED NIGHT, AFTERIMAGE

Yasuhiro Misawa: Composer of DW4, DW5, SW1, SW2.
THE ROAD TO..., WALL OF FATE, EVE, BRANDISH!!!, GREAT RED SPIRIT, [SW1&2]Kawanakajima, [SW1&2]Odawara Castle, [SW1]Honnoji, [SW1]Destruction By Fire, [SW1]Yamazaki...etc

Masato Koike: Composer of DW5, DW5E, DW6, DW6SP, DW6E, SSMOnline, SW1, SW2XL, MO, MOSR, MOZ. Sound director of MOZ.
YOU GUYS MUST KNOW HIM WELL!! MEMORIES, WELCOME TO CHINA, ORIENTAL RUSH, A GREAT GIANT, THE CREST OF THIRST, [SW1]Okehazama, [SW1&2]City Of Flowers, [SW2XL]傭兵演武-重要依頼-, OPTIC LINE, SAMURAI SCANNERS, ANTISPECTER, KOTODAMA RUNNER, THEME OF OROCHI -REBIRTH MIX and all tracks of MOZ...etc

Mari Yoshida: Composer of SW1.
Only 2 works: [SW1]Outnumbered, [SW1&2]Osaka Castle

Toru Hasabe: Composer of DW4E, DW5.
HERE GOES!, SWORDSMEN IN THE PLAIN, DUAL NRG, EXCALIBUR...etc

Hidehisa Nakazono: Composer of SW1, DW4E, DW5.
Dance, Okuni, BREAKTHROUGH, GLOOMY SHADOW...etc

Minoru Mukaiya: Composer of SW2 and SW2E.
Opening, Tedorigawa, Sekigahara, Edo Castle, Credits...etc

Shin-ichiro Nakamura: Composer of SW2, SSMOnline, GM1, GM2, DWSF.
(He arranges songs more than composing, so...)Rescue Battle...etc

Kensuke Inage: Composer of SW2E, SW2XL, SWK, MO, MOSR, SSMOnline, DW6, DW6SP, GM1&2.
[SW2E]all 6 tracks of regions of Japan, MAIN TITLE, FUSION!!!, SPIRIT OF THE HEROES, GOD'S ISLAND, Triumphant Return, TETSUJIN DRIVE, ULTIMATE PRESSURE, FLAME AND RAPIDITY, GENIUSES' SANCTUARIES...etc

Yasumasa Sato: Composer of SSMOnline.
OPENING -DW YASU MIX-, VIOLENTLY, RISKING DEATH, DON'T GO AWAY...etc

Haruki Yamada: Guitarist. Composer of GM1&2, MOSR, DW6, DW6E, DWSF, SWK.
Vertical Updraft, FIGHT WITH REAL SWORDS, DABES, BEAT IT, THE PLAYMATE, MAGNIFICENT SHOW, THE CALM TROPICS, ENEMY IN THE PRESENCE, DECISIVE BATTLE, SOLEMN PHOENIX, MELODY OF TREMBLE, DAYBREAK OF PEACE...etc

Yojiro Yoshimatsu: Composer of DWSF. (I think he is sound editor in some games)
STILL INNOCENT HEROES, ANCIENT AVENUE, INNER INITIATION, EVIL INCARNATE, WHISPER OF THE WITCH, SHEER INSANITY, THE WRATH OF GOD...etc

---------
My favorite:
MASA (Best guitarist!! I also like his taste of sampling. e.g. DANCING WIZARD, INTERCEPTOR, STRUGGLE FOR EXISTENCE)
Kenji Nakajo (I don't need to say much about ARENA. Unfortunately he composed only 8 tracks)
Masato Koike (Best composer! Most of his tracks are memorable. I like his techno and trance works)

Oh, I wish I have selected Yasuhiro Misawa too... :/ I love WALL OF FATE, Odawara Castle, Honnoij and Destruction Of Fire.

MASA: Most of his work is amazing but one of my personal favorite tracks is Jump Into The Battlefield.

Yasuhiro Misawa: If it was for the track Eve, I probably wouldn't have taken an interest in his other work.

Masato Koike: He did amazing job with alot of the music for DW6 that I love including Oriental Rush.

Toru Hasabe: The only tracks I enjoy from him are Swordsmen in the Plain, Dual NRG, and Acid Gang a Go-Go.

Haruki Yamada: Another one of favorite composers. I don't really have a favorite since I like most of the tracks done by the composer.

are my favorite ones from the list: Those who composed/play my favorite tunes, Magnificent Show and Swept Away.

I like Yasuhiro Misawa and his oriental riffs in DW4. Else, the DWBB composer duo, for putting refreshing riffs in some repetitive riffs (IMO) like Stormy Grooves and Jump Into the Battlefield. And i love the arrange version of Steal a March too.

ps: I dream with a release of an arranged/extended soundtrack for DW5 or 6. It would be so good to see it's relatively short tracks developing into extended versions...

Aaah, I love the music of KOEI games, and some time ago I'd certainly have chosen MASA. Now it's a tie between MASA and Masato Koike, especially Koike's tracks for DW6 and DW6 Special made a difference for me.

It used to be that no one tied with MASA, but the SW1 "Nagashino" and "Ise-Nagashima" grew on me (those are Michihiko Shichi's compositions). I also like "Okehazama" by Masato Koike. At first, I thought MASA did that one, but he very well could have -- only he knows his real name, and "MASA" is at least a fraction of his first name.
Hanzo's watching you... :ph43r:

Same here. When I saw "Masato Koike" at first, I thought it is the real name of MASA. But in the booklet of SSM5 MASA referred to Koike so I know he is not. (I really want to know MASA's real name :( )

It's a pity that Michihiko Shichi and Yasuhiro Misawa is not working for KOEI anymore.

Really? I didn't know that... Michihiko Shichi has been around since doing music for Dynasty Warriors 2 which I love. I would never thought Yasuhiro Misawa would be done working with KOEI but it's a pity, I loved his work ever since I heard Eve from DW4.

Youre right again. But the arrange in Strikeforce is more like an remix version. Sorry, i meant longer, extended versions of the tracks.
