Only in case someone interested, here are a list of "Dinasty flavored animes".

Saiunkoku Monogatari.

Posted Image

Two seasons 39 episodes each one.

INFO Really good series in general. Includes a lot of political issues in a "realistic" form. Some warfare and fights (not too much spectacular thougt) and a lot of romance. Some fantasy. The most recomendable i think.

PLOT In an ancient and mythological land called Saiunkoku, the people have begun to recover from a period of war and famine; thus, when an official from the imperial court offers the impoverished and beautiful Shuurei more money than she could ever dream of in return for a favor, she jumps at the chance. What she doesn’t count on, however, is being asked to become a concubine to the recluse Emperor and help him transform into a better leader. What’s more, the Emperor shows little intelligence, seems to have no interest in ruling, and is rumored to prefer men. One thing’s for certain: Shuurei has her work cut out for her!

Shen Diao Xia Lu

Two seasons 26 episodes each one. (3rd series incoming soon)

INFO Poor production, but still, if you like this kind of stories could work for you.

PLOT The orphaned Yang Gor is taken to Chuen Jun Clan to learn kung fu. However, Yang soon gets tired of the bullying by the clan's priests and escapes. His eventual encounter with the mysterious and beautiful Dragon Girl, leader of the powerful Tomb sect, will change his life forever.

Twelve Kingdoms

45 Episodes.

INFO Quite more "Fantasy themed" than the others (here demons and such are normal) but the stetics are totally DW and includes a lot of political matters, revolutions, war and such. ALso, really solid series in general, quite original folklore. The second best option.

PLOT Nakajima Yoko is class president and an honour student. At home, she is a good daughter, always obedient to her parents. She pleases everyone around her to the extent of ignoring herself due to her lack of confidence. She has nightmares daily and a unique hair colour that cause some friction at home and suspicion at school.

On a day like any other at school, a strange man named Keiki appears before her. He kneels and swears allegiance to her, promising to protect her and never leave her side. Thereafter they are pursued and attacked by demon-like beasts. In this mix enters two of her classmates who unfortunately happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. To escape the onslaught, Keiki transports them to his world. Unfortunately during the journey they are ambushed and end up separated from one another.

Now they have to learn how to survive in a new land, one with magic, swords, demon-like beasts and immortals.

This anime is based on text novels written by Ono Fuyumi. It features a complex fantasy world with a rich mythology behind it. The series tells us not only Nakajima Yoko's story, but also stories about other people who came to live in this world.

Fushigi Yuugi

52 episodes-

INFO Like twelve kingdoms it is quite more "fantasy themed" and is romacne oriented, still it haves a lot politics and war. Good, but sincerely too much love centred to my tastes.

PLOT Two friends at a library are lead by an illusion of a phoenix to a restricted room where a mysterious book called "The Universe Of Four Gods" falls to their feet. Picking up the book, they begin to read the book and are transported into the book where the boundaries between fiction and reality become hazy as they meet new friends, enemies and loved ones.

ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMENDABLE.

Koihime musou.

Still IS the three kingdoms history is...abominable. And im not "antimoe" (is more like the oposite) but...this is really a bad anime from any point of view.

Ikki Tousen.

3/4 of the same...if you are curious better read the manga, avoid the anime version.
