Besides the versions (DW5 or DW6) you chose, it's the explanation you gave for some of your choices that made me think about how much our picks have in common (for example about Liu Bei, Sun Jian, Xiahou Dun, etc.). Answering your question, I'd probably choose DW4 versions for Gan Ning (the best would be a mix of his DW4 and DW5 ones, the upper part of the costume from DW4, the lower one from DW5 XD), Zhang He (but I like all his designs), Xiahou Dun (both the DW4 and DW5 ones have the right Xiahou Dun feel, but I liked the fabric eye patch a lot), Zhang Fei (however all his designs are great), Wei Yan, Pang Tong, Diao Chan. Moreover, there are some DW4 versions that I like as much as their DW5 and DW6 ones, for example Zhao Yun. Also DW4 Sima Yi's helmet deserves a mention. By the way, I noticed that other fellow members prefer some of the DW4 designs ^^. |

Heh, you're amazed? I'm starting to grow a bit amazed myself... Get out of my head Liquid.  I just really loved the style DW5 used for the outfits and the armor. Most of the designs from that game I feel are pretty hard to beat and overall DW6 didn't get the job done for me. For certain people I guess we saw things the same way haha. Gan Ning as a mix of both outfits? I dunno, that vest might look comical on top of those pants he has in 5. Maybe if it were made longer. You're right about Zhang He and Fei. Up until 6 I never disliked their designs at all. Well, I only dislike He's in 6, Fei's is fine. You're on about Xiahou Dun too... 4 and 5 just got it. At least for how he's portrayed in this series. Wei Yan and Diao Chan I'll give you. I like 5's Ninja Tong too much to prefer Sombrero Tong to it. ... When exactly did I let you into my head? For the longest time I liked DW4 Sima Yi better than 5's for the helmet alone. If 4 were included into this I'd go with Lu Xun, Yuan Shao, Jiang Wei, Huang Gai, Xu Huang and Zhen Ji. Then on occasion ones like Zhang He, Sun Shang Xiang, Lu Meng, Zhu Rong, Zhou Tai... And always Sun Ce. His design in 4 was spot on. |

There's definitely a few DW4 outfits I prefer to DW5 or 6. Zhang He, Gan Ning, Xu Huang, Sun Ce, Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Wei Yan, and Dong Zhuo come to mind. Sima Yi too, but that's also because his face was different in DW4 compared to 5 and 6, which made me see him as a very dangerous man rather than a merely cunning and tricky rat as in 5 and 6. I usually used his alternate outfit that had the hood from DW3 back on his DW4 outfit. On the whole, though, I prefer almost all the outfit changes from 5 to 6, with those above DW4 mentions also factoring in. DW5 has overall my least favorite designs in the series, excepting a few like Zhou Yu, Zhu Rong, Yue Ying, and Yuan Shao. |

I think..... Zhao Yun DW6 better Liu Bei DW5 better Huang Zhong DW6 Wei Yan DW5 since 6 he has a plunger  and the rest DW6 is better |

Out of the two, I think I prefer the DW6 Designs. The DW5 designs looked rushed, especially Zhen Ji's costume. The DW6 ones- Even though lots of the Costumes were very generalized, the designs did seem like they came together better. I have nothing much more to say about them, except knowing Koei has more potential to make better designs. |

For the most part. 5 character designs are superior. I'm tired of Koei taking the characters and making them more extreme with each release. It is getting fairly silly. |
