I think they should be able use them too as they aren't the AI aren't that strong and I think they need a boost. What do you think? |

I think they should set it as an added difficulty for "god" mode. The extra difficulty unlocked by that special item, I mean. An added obstacle for really the strongest/most skilled to overcome...that'd make Tadakatsu really impossible to beat, haha. Oh, and don't make them as easily dodgeable as they were in 2P mode in SB2h...that'd make them nearly pointless. |

Eh, what? They were dodgeable in 2P versus? I never knew about that before. But then again, even on versus mode Basara attacks are unblockable, so that would be the balancing point, I see. Anyway, if they still make Basara attacks unblockable here, then I agree with Makishima that they should limit CPU usage on it. Maybe make it difficulty based as well so for example in Normal difficulty they wouldn't have a Basara bar, in Hard they have the bar to use Battle Drive, and in Ultimate mode, a Basara attack. |

Hmm...I havent played the game in a while...but I'm pretty sure you can avoid them, and block them too in VS mode. IIRC, they're a lot less scary in that mode...I'm sure I blocked Nobunaga's basara, and even Tadakatsu's...(whose Basara had a stupidly small range to boot) Can anyone confirm/deny? |

Not sure about the blocking. I'll have to check that. But they can be avoided unless they have you stuck in a combo and you're unable to get out of it. |

I dunno....if BASARA attacks are going to be even more over-powered this time around than they were previously, then I really dunno about how I'd feel about the CPU using them, unless it was on a higher difficulty, as suggested above. On the other hand, I wouldn't mind if the CPU got access to more "CPU-only" Special Attacks. Gundam Musou 2 did this pretty well, and I really liked how such a thing worked in the SB2 generation (for example, Kotaro vs. Sasuke and Kasuga). What I could stand to see really? Maybe doing something akin things were handled in the Touhou fighting game spin-off, "Immaterial and Missing Power". In that game, battles started off pretty regularly, but after beating down the boss at least once, they then would unleash a "Spell Card", which then forced you to basically exercise Megaman-style "pattern deduction" because your enemy would be able to unleash completely over-the-top attacks on your ass. Not to mention the fact that the boss battle was often "multi-staged", so you likely had to beat down the boss a total of at least 2-3 times total! Such a thing is something that I think could work well for the BASARA series, especially since, in my opinion, the "Sasuke and Kasuga" battle basically did a lot of what I was talking about, already. Let's just have more of that, and make it so that ALL of the boss battles can be something to remember! |

I totally agree with you there HNB. The Kotaro vs. Kasuga/Sasuke was pretty cool. This is what an "end battle" should like. It may not have been as epic as the ninja fight, but Nagamasa vs. Nobunaga, were he suddenly comes back having awaken his full dark power or Kojuuro fighting Masamune, were Masamune gave it his all, the more you weakend him... Such fights should happen more often. As for making the AI stronger, thereīs an easy thing: Did you notice, that the AI when it activates the drive mode, it attacks you with the attack string. But if you dodge it, it simply conitnues attacking the air and finishes itīs attack string, instead of stopping and going after the player. You can easily predict their moves with that. Or when a skill doesnīt hit and itīs a skill that you could normally stop, they should stop. Itīs no use if they simply continue attacking something thatīs not here anymore. Those are the points when I can simply walk behind them give them allmost a full attack-string, than attack with a skill or two and activate my BASARA. Such AI mistakes happen often. |
