SW1:
1. Osaka Castle - This was the ideal battlefield. Dark and somber, muted colors, no overly convoluted paths. Just the burial ground of Yukimura and the other souls defiant of Ieyasu's will. The positioning of and access to the Toyotomi and Tokugawa main camps were also well done.
2. Kawanakajima - The first SW map I ever played on is also one of my favorites. The ideal landscape for a back-and-forth struggle, and a pincer attack. The night theme found in the normal battle was much better than the afternoon theme of Shingen's other final battle or Okuni's Dance of Kawanakajima.
3. Ise/Iga - Depending on whichever one you consider to be the true namesake of the territory (I consider it the Ise-Nagashima map, myself, though I prefer the actual Iga Pursuit battle to the normal Battle of Ise). Plenty of room to spread an army out, with different concentrations on certain areas.

SW2.
1. Osaka Castle - Gee, this seems familiar. Yes, I consider Osaka to be fantastic in both games. This version was a lot... brighter than its original incarnation (for which I did not care), but the same can be said for any of the returning battles. The changes to the castle navigation were never better incorporated than here, and the special attention given to the Sanada-maru was great.
2. Shizugatake - Major forts on one side, scattered outposts on the other, with the biggest struggle for control of the center. Made much more enjoyable by the chaos that erupted in the east, and the easy movements of troops.
3. Honnoji - I never really put much stock in SW2 Honnoji before, but the more I look at it, the more I look the map itself. The navigation is convoluted, but that's as it should be for a city. Plenty of alleys and mainways give it a gritty feeling, that the fighting here is beyond war, but true chaos spreading throughout the root of civilization.
