The SB board will get a similar topic with this. So basically, it seems to be getting quite the norm that SW and SB are competing in character additions. Especially in the sequels and such... In SB2, they added Maeda Keiji, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, Azai Nagamasa, Oichi who were previously exclusive in SW1 series. Fuuma and Musashi don't count. In SW2, they added Shimazu Yoshihiro, later in XL includes Maeda Toshiie and Chousokabe Motochika, previously SB1 exclusives. Now that SW3 and SB3 is in the airs... and SB3 has given the first strike of including Ishida Mitsunari, previously SW2 character... It's only a matter of time until KOEI strikes back and take the exclusivity that was possessed by one or two SB characters. So which character do you think will make the jump from SB to SW? (Not including SB's originals like Kasuga, Itsuki or Zabii) Edited by ChrisX, Sat Aug 29, 2009 2:45 am.

I fail to see the point of this topic besides brewing SW Vs. SB arguments. |

True, but he does have a slightly relevant point. Either Matsu, or the Mouri, just because there's plenty of room for them in the SW series. |

I'm just seeing a trend, and it could be that they may repeat it in the future. So... well, it's another wishlist, so why not? |

This thread seems interesting. Hisahide Matsunaga, the most treacherous, most diabolical human-being in Sengoku Jidai. I alwasy want SW to have a real villain and since he already appear on Kessen 3, I think he'll have a big chance appearing in SW3. The fans keep demanding Matsu so I guess Koei will put her. I always want Hanbei in SW, since he was one of the Oda's greatest minds (heck, they compared him to Zhuge Liang). He should be more like a friend to Hideyoshi than an apprentice. |

Matsunaga Hisahide, villain of the Sengoku Era who betrayed his own clan and later Nobunaga himself. Maybe he could be the one who convinces Mitsuhide to betray Nobunaga? Also, the fact that he was probably the first person in Japanese history who commited suicide through explosion, sounds pretty badass to me >_>. Mouri Motonari, does this really need explaining? I think all major Azuchi-Momoyama clans are somehow represented in the series (or have been, Saito and Honganji are almost non-existent in SW2) except the Mouri. What gives KOEI? Takenaka Hanbei, Hideyoshi's "little helper". Could have an awesome version of Siege of Inabayama Castle. Although he was never a Toyotomi retainer, KOEI could extend his lifespan to Odawara and allow him to see the land united under Hideyoshi just before he dies to illness. |

Motonari, Kojuuro, and Hisahide. Motonari doesn't really need explaining, Kojuuro because Masamune is lonely and I would really prefer SW to get Hisahide as a new character for we need a Dong Zhuo type character to ransack the Capital. lol

I voted Hisahide and Motonari. Matsunaga Hisahide, seriously Koei add him now! He would make Nobunaga, Kotaro and every other 'villian' in SW look amateur. Mori Motonari I kinda want as well, but SB's Motonari is so awesome I think unless Koei really pulled out all stops with him, I will inevitably be disappointed with their version... Kinda like I was with Motochika, still he should be in for completion's sake, with the Hojo finally included that pretty much only leaves the Mouri, Otomo and Mogami as the major clans lacking represenation. |

I voted for Motonari, Ujimasa and Kojuuro. I think the Hojo need a bit more representation(they've got Kotaro, Kaihime and Ujiyasu) but there needs to be somebody to keep Kotaro on a leash. The Date are underpresented in the SW series so putting Kojuuro in would add some balance to the roster. |

I'm mostly a girl supporter. But for now, I vote for... Motonari, Kojyuuro and Hisahide. 1. Motonari... for more Western coverage and he'd add an interesting spin to the 'earlier' Sengoku that KOEI is leering on 2. I've now been convinced that KOEI hates Date. Especially with Masamune turning villain in WO... I know how to redeem it though: Give him a Date officer. Kojyuuro will fit the bill. That way, if he's at least portrayed as a just man... by the time WO3 comes out, he'll be crucial in getting Masamune out of Orochi's service. 3. Hisahide... the SW needs a 'Dong Zhuo'. An obviously evil character. Fuuma is not enough and it could be that he's leering away from that thanks to the inclusion of Ujiyasu and Kaihime. Hopefully, if Hisahide comes in, then there's no need for KOEI to throw other candidates of good guys like Keiji and Masamune into the Orochi side. That's... just... STUPID! And if you think this is a complain from me, I say... "YES IT IS A COMPLAIN, WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO ABOUT IT!?" Ha. |

I think Hanbei has a very very low chance of appearing since Koei chose to include Kanbei, who functionally fulfills much the same role and yet is a different guy. Matsunaga is probably the one who really needs to be in it. |

Kojuuro and Hanbei are two of my favourite Sengoku figures and I was really pleased to see them included in SB2. Whilst I cans ee the point about Kanbei kind of negating Hanbei's requirement I still think he can serve a purpose to a degree. Kojuuro is almost necessary from what I can see of Musou, Date is a little whelp from the North with little development or interaction, having his earlier battles ( icluding his setbacks ) and having a figure who somewhat steadies him and makes him learn from these is kind of vital, Kojuuro is pretty much ideal for that. With Mouri and Hisahide I could see potential ( especially Mouri ), but I had to opt for Matsu for my last choice, she's a strong female pick with a pretty good amount of source material and information for a Sengoku female. If they take the route of Hideyoshi chasing everything with a skirt or less then his and Toshiie's relationship could become very interesting. |

Matsu. Because really, someone needs to straighten Toshiie up. And Motonari Mouri. If I remember, wasn't he in quite a few stages in SW? So why not? |

I don't think he was in any stages in SW2, though there were a few stages he should have been in. I think he might have been in the Battle of osaka bay, but im not sure

I vote Matsu, Hanbei, and Kojuuro. - Matsu is just awesome, and I could use another cool, kick-butt lady in the roster. - Hanbei and Motonari are tied for me, since they're both amazing - their looks, their voices, and their fighting styles are all very unique, so I'm hoping that if they make it into a SW game, they'll be just as great. - Kojuuro... It's KOJUURO - he wins at life. I don't know what else to say.
