I gave up on multiplayer for this a long while ago

Ad-Hoc Party allows PSP owners who also have PS3s to use their PS3 as a router to connect with others to play PSP ad-hoc online games. Normally, online PSP games with ad-hoc can only be played if the PSPs are in the same room. Xlink Kai works in the same general way, but without the PS3 and requires a different wireless router and a somewhat complicated setup process. Their site: http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/

Perhaps the initial setup if you're trying one of the two methods above (Xlink). I'm sure Ad-Hoc Party is easy to setup and of course playing with someone right next to you is easier. The game's AI is a bit tougher on multiplayer though, IIRC. It still seems like it would be more fun to play with others though
