DW:G2 / GM2 Tier List Discussion; Though I'm probably WAY too late.

Yes my Sweetest Posts: 286 Group: Members Member #20,120 Joined: December 23, 2008 Gender Male	So it's been about 8-9 months since release, and I'm not sure anyone still cares, but after having come back to this game for a bit, I decided it's better late than never. This is currently how I view the Tiers, which will probably look a tad different to the one most have seen from the one I had on ver. MSM7S of my guide GameFAQs, which is the one most people remember: [S+] God Gundam / Turn-A Gundam Re-GZ / Palace Athene Musha Gundam / Musha Mk. II [S] Nu Gundam Qubeley Mk. II Black / Qubeley / Qubeley Mk. II Red Master Gundam / Char's Gelgoog [S-] Zeong The-O Turn X Ridden's Gelgoog [A+] Zeta Gundam Gundam F91 V2 Gundam Char's Zaku II Wing Gundam Zero [A] Gundam Epyon Hyaku Shiki / ZZ Gundam Strike Freedom Gottrlatan [B+] Gundam Infinite Justice Gundam Mk. II / Gundam Mk. II Black Sazabi Jagd Doga Quess Jagd Doga Gyunei [B] Destiny Gundam Guncannon Hambrabi / Bawoo Byalant / Bolinoak Sammahn / Bound Doc [B-] MP Qubeley / MP Bawoo Axis / MP Bawoo Glemmy Jegan / Nemo Gouf [C] Ball Gyan Dom [D] Zaku Tank / Gaza D / Gaza C / Gelgoog GM II Rick Dias / Marasai Gouf Flight Type / GM Command / GM Hizack / Zaku II / Barzam / Geara Doga / Geara Doga Rezin [F] Char's Z'Gok Z'Gok I constructed this while operating on a few important bases: This is based mostly on their performance in Hard Mode Extra Missions - ... especially True Gundam Warrior 1. You know why I don't say TGW2? Because of the fact that the last field is not locked, you can take out each one of the last three bosses one at a time if you so wanted. No Ace Pilot - Even if Ace Pilot has an upper bound in terms of how much it can improve your chosen Mobile Suit over the course of a fight, by the end of it, once you've combined it with certain other skills and attachments (DG Cells, Fighting Instinct, and Fault of the Youth / Beginner's Faux Pas are the big offenders here), you're pretty much piloting a machine that performs at least as well as an A after you've reached 1000 KOs. Impulse is Allowed - Yes, I know this makes a lot of beam-using Mobile Suits broken, but it doesn't even work for all of them, much less the rest. And a few others I'm not thinking of, but those are the important ones. Now a quick review on why each S mech is better than the rest IMO: God Gundam: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-eubolt4PQ Turn-A Gundam: CSP. What's that? The nuke not only uses Impulse (thereby allowing you to one-shot an ace within a crowd of grunts), but it can refill itself too? Re-GZ: That C2 requires absolutely no thought to use once you slap Impulse and Snipe on it. Palace Athene: C4 + Impulse + Snipe + Zero Range Shot + Armor Gain + Built-in Super Armor = some very broken stuff going on. Oh, and the SP can use most of that too... and refills itself if there's enough enemies as well. SO broken. Musha Gundam: GSP, ASP, C4 + Armor Gain + Magnetic High, Aircombos... Also, it's a Musha. Musha Mk. II: Heat Up, Fault of the Youth / Beginner's Faux Pas, and Biocomputer-- once you have these, you need nothing else. Nu Gundam: The glitchiest C6 in the world, it doesn't need anything except Fighting Instinct to be usable in Extra Missions. You might wanna slap Armor Gain and Impulse for your C4 to regain life, too. Qubeley Mk. II Black / Qubeley / Qubeley Mk. II Red: Block using Counter, then C5 + Impulse + Snipe + Zero Range Shot. 50-60% of your enemy's life, GONE IN AN INSTANT. Repeat until dead. Master Gundam: C4 vs. crowds. C5 hurts so much. C6 is also broken because the AI NEVER BLOCKS IT. Also, supreme aircombo machine. Char's Gelgoog: Besides having an awesome moveset and being really good at aircombos, that CSP is wonderful, especially since it does MORE damage on an enemy attempting to recover rather than less, which is the case with almost every other grounded SP in the game. Zeong: Square string has stupid-good range and forces deadlocks really often, awesome damage on the C3 with the right skills and attachments (also the enemy has difficulty deciding if it wants to block it), and one of the best SPs in the game. The-O: Super Armor on the square string means you can tank basically annnnything so long as there's only one ace. Also, enemies have trouble recovering out of the awesome CSP. Turn X: Safest MS in the game because of Moonlight Butterfly and Shining Finger. Ridden's Gelgoog: Barely makes it in here, but C2 is so dumb, seriously. Equip Smash Hit, Hard Strike, Cross Drive, and FotY/BFP. Held off both Mushas, a Hambrabi, and a Gouf in TGW1 using it. Edited by Shokatshin, Sep 6 2009, 06:11 AM.

The only thing you can do with it is Impulse + Snipe + C4. You have to whiff S1-S3 to use it, meaning you must be a very specific distance away due in no small part to its startup time... But then even if you can land it, the damage is incredibly inconsistent and you're left open to all kinds of retaliation because the recovery time is beyond terrible.

MSW-07 Omega Gundam I lol'ed when I saw that the reason for God Gundam was a video of the player beating TGW in under 2 min. But I agree with all the S ranks. Though it's been a while since this happened, your stats list for the pilots and MS got me in the bad social graces of Youtube Kira fans, one actually acused me of just making them up because Kira and the Strike Freedom weren't the number one overall.

Even though I have nothing to do with those people, I know how unreasonable they can be, though SEED in particular is more vocal because it's newer. ... That said, excuse me while I go play through the first stage of Master Asia's Story Mode.

Not everyone that likes SEED is like that On to the main topic, I cracked up when I saw the TDWG mission with god gundam....It definitely deserves to be in the top...this tier listing has renewed my interest in the game.....I still have some characters i didnt finish leveling up Edited by Canard Pars, Oct 10 2009, 02:01 AM.
