Zhang Jiao and Pang Tong; Conspiracy

May the winds blow your enemies to their graves Posts: 24 Group: Members Member #23,522 Joined: September 16, 2009 Gender Male	As we all know Zhang Jiao and Pang Tong may aswell share movesets in Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires. However I came across something quite intriguing about the pair and their weapons. As I interprit the game certain characters have ties with certain elements, for example Zhuge Liang is tied with Air hence his moveset in DW6, Zhou Yu is tied with fire, hence the writing on his hand in a DW2 cutscene and his obsession with fire. Now I always portrayed Pang Tong as being tied with Earth and Zhang Jiao being tied with Fire... However in DW6E Pang Tongs weapon is called Firestorm Staff, however he still shoots out jets of green erm... energy? (which I would associate with earth) Zhang Jiao's weapon is called Blaze Staff which, fair doos, is associated with fire, he also shoots flames. Now why is Pang Tongs staff called Firestorm Staff without having any relavance to fire? I mean the way the staff looks has more relavance to earth than to fire. Now the default weapon specials for Pang Tong and Zhang Jiao's weapons are as follows: Pang Tong has Fire special and Zhang Jiao has Rockfall special. Now correct me if I am wrong but I would expect Pang Tong to have the Rockfall special and Zhang Jiao to have the Fire special. (Is this the case for everyone else or just my copy of DW6E?) So where am I going with this? Well in DW5 Pang Tongs weapon was called Tornado Staff and his moveset had many references to air in it, for example his musou. In DW6 he and Zhang Jiao near enough share movesets. Conspiracy is brewing I think. I think that Pang Tong is having secret meetings with characters from the Dynasty Warriors saga and learning their secrets! Up to now it looks to have been Zhuge Liang up until this point, meaning Pang Tong has been learning the ways of Air. However now it seems Pang Tong has been to learn the ways of fire from Zhang Jiao! Where will he go next? Will he stay with fire for another 2 games like with Air (Dynasty Warriors 3 - 5) or will he move on? It looks like he only has water left to learn. Who will he learn that element off? I dont know. Now either I am right in saying this or... Koei F***** up with the weapon names and their specials. Either way I thought I'd post this oddity. Still it would be cool if Pang Tong ended up with all of the elements and became the avatar (someone who can harness the power of all elements) of Dynasty Warriors lol. As always thanks for reading . And I do believe he used Rockslide in it too (although I could be wrong ). As DW6:E uses only one weapon per character, his other two were removed. You could also say his green energy bolts are wind. Zhang Jiao had the Fire skill in DW6. Some skills were changed in DW6:E.
