Aaaah, I see. Guess I misinterpreted, regardless though, its still not a 'guarentee', its what is supposid. According to Famitsu, that will be the case...supposidly. Koei has not officially said however. It will likely prove true, but as I say, no guarentee regardless. I'm still hoping it turns out that the 37 is who has musou modes. Could live without stories for those characters, and if they do become free mode only at starting, stories could become DLC A dream that'll likely not happen, but best to hope ;D

Takeda Katsuyori, I mentioned in the official SW3 topic awhile back Nagashino is terribly one sided, 7+ Oda/Tokugawa PCs vs Yukimura and the generic Takeda army... Katsuyori would be commander in 2 stages (Nagashino, Fall of the Takeda) and has the potential to fight under Shingen in the other Takeda battles. Plus his contrasting personality to his father (Shingen=cool, calm, collected and a bit aloof, Katsuyori=serious and hot headed) would make for some interesting interactions between father and son. 2. Asakura Yoshikage, An interesting character who has a fair few unique lines in SW2 and an ally for the Azai. Despite Nagamasa betraying Nobunaga to help Yoshikage, in SW2 Nagamasa and Yoshikage have limited interaction and there is almost no explanation for the friendship between Yoshikage and Nagamasa, and why Nagamasa chose to help Yoshikage instead of the Oda, besides it going against his "code of honour". 3. Naomasa li Well I'm not going to give up on another Tokugawa retainer even if it has to be an NPC, Naomasa would be ideal as the 'young warrior' of the Tokugawa, perhaps opposed to Yukimura.

This guy definitely isn't a rock anymore.... Posts: 4,434 Group: Members Member #749 Joined: February 21, 2006 Gender Male	I think I'll replace my #3 Ashikaga Yoshiteru with Shimazu Toyohisa. Although he used the same model as other Kyushu generics, he did appear in most of Yoshihiro's CGI cutscenes and had plenty of dialog. If his role in SW3 is as significant as in SW2, I think KOEI takes one step forward and makes him more unique looking.

Masayuki Sanada Hideaki Kobayakawa Ujimasa Hojo Kojuro Katakura Yoshikage Asakura Dosetsu Tachibana Dosan Saito Teremune Date Sorin Otomo Yoshihisa Shimazu Thats all I got for Unique NPCs XD

He was just so useless in SW2: always running away or coming late with reinforcements. And when he finally arrives in time with reinforcements (Kanegasaki, Nagamasa's version), what does Nagamasa do? Betrays him, and then you have to face his entire army with weakened Oda troops >_>.

Frakkin' Toaster Posts: 2,755 Group: Admins Member #8,568 Joined: July 17, 2007 Gender Male	I would've loved to see Masayuki as a UNPC, I feel he could've added extra depth to the Sanada and would've had the potential to help Yukimura develop as well (maybe we could see him find Yukimura following Shingen's death and the fall of Nagashino [since he's pretty much always put there within the game] helping to console Yukimura and remind him of his duty and so on) but since it has already been confirmed that he will be a generic, that's all gone to dust. Not for Nobuyuki though! Seriously, I doubt it but I'd like to see him make it. It would help Ina get over her "MY FATHER!!!!!111" obsession (I'm not implying in any shape or form that she should have an epiphany and be all like "MY HUSBAND!!!!1") and he could help flesh her out a bit. Maybe they could have a part of his motivation for staying with the Tokugawa against his family be his dedication to his wife, I dunno, just tossing up ideas. Otherwise, I suppose Yoshikage would work. It would certainly help give some extra credence to Nagamasa's choice to stay allied with them. In SW2 Yoshikage just seems like a haughty windbag and I'd like to see that perception somewhat changed.

Me and my buddy always said they need to add another date, sanada, shimazu etc as playable characters. It would be really cool if they did that for every clan so there was a lot more characters and verity. But I think that is asking a lot from koei you know?

I don't know if that makes sense, but what I'm trying to say is how many major battles does Masamune actually command in or take a central role in? Only Hasedo and his fictional showdown with Ieyasu, rest of the time he's just a Toyotomi/Tokugawa ally. Maybe they will change this in SW3. But personally I don't think he warrants his own follower just yet, rather see the the Mogami/Otomo/Saito get included first. Besides it looks like Masamune's going to be paired with Magoichi a lot more in SW3 as well.

I think Koei might have combined the two... in some form or another. Then again, minus Ikko-Ikki sect and probably the attack on against the Saika, isn't most of Magoichi's story made up anyway? He seems like a very easy character for Koei to muck around with, and obviously in SW3 he's going to be acting as a Date officer this time around seeing as he's been seen with Masamune at what looks to be pre-Odawara. In the end, that's what's important, isn't it? I'd love another Date officer, but Magoichi will just have to do at this moment. Maybe we'll be an NPC, or just show up come XL like Motochika, Ina, Tadakatsu, Gracia and Toshiie will. Who knows? I can live without another Date officer for now, I suppose. I'm hoping for a Saito, or maybe the return of the Hoganji person.
