I mainly want it to be multiplatform (ROTK going next-gen? Awesome!), custom scenarios, and more troop types. |

Hm,there are some things I want. -Have an editor in the original version. Certainly, the editor in RTK XI PUK is awesome. No more sucking Xiahou Mao and Liu Shan! -Custom scenarios. Nuff said. -New graphics. Take your time KOEI and it will be awesome. -Like Cerebral Assassin said, new troop types. -More towns. I've seen that RTK X has more towns that are not in RTK XI. E.g. Xi Ping,Wu Du or He Nei. And maybe additional gates and ports. -More historical events -And the most important thing for me: Being able to play both as ruler (RTK XI style) AND officer (RTK X style) That's all for now. |

Historical Officer Edit for one. The main thing I'd like to see is a heavy revamp of the system. The PUK fixed some issues, but things like not being able to interaction with other nations beyond alliance/truce is lame. The inclusion of NA's randomly generated offspring system would be great too; it's tedious to go through and make your own kids for some leaders when I'd rather see them pop up with luck influencing how good they'll be. More forces in general would be nice. It's been ages since Yang Feng had his own force. |

Customizable scenarios. Stat/Skill editor for historic officers, no more overrated / underrated issue. OTHER: Having it available for PC. Also a multiplayer that works over LAN or Interwebs, like someone could host a match and invite a few players into it. |
|
SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM KAUSU: Me thinks that Ike should get ze Modship. Why so? It's pretty simple. I'll modestly point out why: - Friendliness and great charisma. - Excellent communication skills. - Is expert at using BOTH of his functional brain cells. [ End of message ] | |

There is obviously plenty of things I'd love for the next RoTK, alot of which has already been stated. - Ability to customize historical officers stats and skills as a full on feature of the game. (I don't want to have to get the PC version with a patch to do this.) - Modify and Create a scenario. The whole works, I don't care if its tedious, but I want to be able to set which force I want, where I want, when I want, with as many officers I want on a blank map. I'd be able to die happy if Koei ever did that. - Character Creation. I've actually been pretty happy with the RoTK games and their character creation lately, but there is still more that can be done. For one, continue to improve the Apt system, I loved it and think it would be great to see it get expanded upon. Instead of just having a C-S grade system, break each unit down into categories of grades focusing on attack and defense. That way a character could potentially have a high grade in cavalry attack, but maybe a low defense means he's prone to loosing control of his unit, or takes more counter damage. I would rather see it work like that for each unit, then to see as many skills involved. But overall there is still more that can be done with character creation. - Reuse of former portraits. This falls in with character creation, but I wanted to say this by itself. RoTK 10 allowed you to use RoTK 9 scraps in creation. Continue to use this! I like that I can use historical portraits (Zhang Ren FTW) but I don't want to use too many. So in addition to the new portraits in each game, bring back some of the older ones for use. If Koei has to, then brighten them up some or give them a little shine. - More cities. More Forces. RoTK 8 even had some cities that the latest one didn't. Oh and only 5 blank cities for Rise of Heroes, Koei? Boo. - Negotiation/allies/politics. They still need to have a better Kingdom Interaction system. I want real allies! I want to be able to transport soldiers and supplies to a friend in need. Just as it would be cool to get help from your allies when I need it. The ability to create lifelong allies or bitter political rivals is still something the RoTK games need work on. Oh and what happened to coaltions? Don't make them as overpowering as 8, but dang atleast have them in the game. Well...those are some of my thoughts/ |

Transporting soldiers to a friend in need is a great idea. And you can also build RTK9esque facilities like the Fort, etc on friendly territory (If they allow it) to help them defend n shizzle. |

First off, more forces. Can't ever have very little hanging around. I'd love to see people like Wang Kuang have a force again. Exceptions being in the one-character controlling games. For some reason he has an army there, I.e. ROTKVII, ROTKVIII, ROTKX. - Two people or more playability. Two-players basically. I have friends I love playing ROTK with. It's unfair sometimes when I play ROTKX when someone is over, lol. - Improved Dueling system. Yup. Love when some d00d comes in announcing himself. ''I'm [insert name] of Dan Yang Qiao, etc fight me!'' In the last game I had a hard time trying to keep up with the dueling text. Should slowdown and have our fellow general point his manly spear-arm at his foe and announce himself. Oh! And weapon variety would be most welcomed for me. I'd love to see Liu Bei use his twin swords and Cao Cao use one of his own. Hm, I may go as far as suggesting off-horse dueling as well! That would be... *drool* - As said forts, camps, and the like. For sure they would be helpful. Stopping units here and there. They can also provide supplies troops, etc. But besides this a few new features for them would be excellent. - Cities, lands, China... more! I'd like to see more land in-game. A small stretch for a city here or there would be great. I'd love for a return of areas back. Mostly the lands in Wu that keep disappearing lol. - Stat editor. Similar to the one in NA. Being in charge of historical officers and their abilities, followed up by everything else they have to offer. This alone would be an amazing feature for the series. (Without the help of a PUK.) As for style of being a ruler or having the one-player role-play feel I'm fine with either. Both have kept me satisfied over time. This is all I can think up for now. I have to agree with the majority here though, lots of great ideas. |

Hm,I have another thing. Perhaps more interaction with the world? For example: You use the fire strategy on a part of a large forest. If it's e.g. summer or so and nobody douses the fire, the fire would spread every turn on surrounding parts of the forest. And maybe an improved duel and debate system. It should be more based on skill rather than on luck. |

Hm, that was on ROTKVIII and ROTKX (?) I believe. Would make a good addition though.
Yes, if anything I hope the debates will be able to get triggered easier. And have more of a purpose than recruitment. I hardly had a use for it on XI. |

Yeah and the problem with debates is almost being exclusive to people with the negotiator skill (in diplomacy), and people with the negotiator skill have horrid INT. |

He-he, yeah tell me about it. I've had people like Sun Qian debate Pang Tong when I could have used someone like Jia Xu. As for debating, I hope it's more approachable in terms of it being used. Rather than having it being technical. For XII, it might work better if the mechanics of ROTKX are used. I'd like for it to be used more off in training issues and have it be more flexible. Examples. Say ROTKXII is like XI, playing as a ruler, etc. I'd like the debate system to be more ''Sun Qian has found the officer, [insert name]'' ''Choose which of the following officers to participate in a debate.'' It also wouldn't hurt to have more than one person in a debate. Kinda like the previous duel systems used, IX, XI and such. You lose and get guy number 2 to step in. Possibly 3. Not sure if that gives an insane advantage though. Anyone notice debates in ROTKXI look more dangerous then dueling someone like Lu Bu? I mean seriously you lose and you fall out of a cliff, lol. Another notable thing should be debates can be used during battle, maybe to convince officer to defect retreat, or etc? |

I'd love to see the game in next gen, obviously Having special unit for each forces, if done right, can be awesome. Another thing I'd love to see, is the ability to interact with other countries. Wei exchanging gifts between itself and Japan, Wu interacting with their south-asian colonies, etc.. |

But, let's just admit it. What we all want the most is a stat/scenario editor. ![]() ALSO, MOAR SCENARIOS, XI's last scenario was set in a horrid setting with everyone either too young to participate or just dying off from illness and such. WITH A LONG TIME TO GET TO ZE LATER DAY GENERALS. X's last scenario was good, though. |

Yeah, kinda funny in a messed up away that has been on one of the ROTK games. (Mainly the events.) The series started focusing more on the main story. Returning features come and go with this series though. Anything is possible. I'd also like for this to be more open. That is more on latter years of the game.
This is the problem with us PlayStation users, we can't have our atrocious ways with the characters. I mean, it's not like I'm gonna ruin Guan Yu's stats or anything... Number one thing on my list for sure! We do need more scenario-time in the game. A solid add for sure. If it's anything like ROTKVIII, (The one with every year, 184 to the end of the three kingdoms.) I'll be insanely satisfied. I had a lot of issues with XI on finding reliable officer age. Due to it's small scenario selection. |

No, the real problem is you using a goddamned PS2, what time period are you living in? the stone age? SHEESH. P.S the PS2 version is actually better than the PC version, in the sense of annoying crashes, and removal of challenge scenarios. ;_; |

Nonsense! You PC users get to add portraits to created characters. That's not even half of it. ;P Actually I may be on to something. Have RoTK XII share both features the PS and PC will have to offer, right? (History in the making, lol.) Hopefully I won't have to buy individual copies if this works out. |
