Well, we all now some time now, that thereŽll be an english version of SB3, Sengoku BASARA Samurai Heroes. IŽll buy both versions no matter what. IŽll first play trough the japanese version and just enjoy the game(play), then after some time, dig into the story since IŽll finally be able to understand something in the english version But what about you? Will you buy the english and the japanese version or just one of those? Or does it depend certain points, for example on when the english release date? Or if thereŽs a JAP voice option? Or if there is some bonus content, like extra characters, or bonus costumes? Edited by Matsunaga Hisahide, Thu Oct 29, 2009 9:19 pm.

Well, i would buy the JAP version because of the awesome seiyuus and the game itself. But then we get the mindblowing news that it is coming out in ENG. My Dad considers importing a big No no. So it would have been very dificult to get him to allow me to get this game in JAP. But now that it is coming out in ENG i can get it hassel free. If ENG doesn't have a JAP voice option i might try and get a JAP version, but i doubt i would be able to. I hope ENG VA are good

IF(Notice the caps) i get a PS3, i will obviously get the EN version. And enjoy playing as Yoshitsugu Otani or Motonari Mori. I don't worry about the voice acting, i'm pretty sure it will be good. |

^ ........... -.- JP version for me obviously. But you know, I think I might also support the US release if....... ![]() ....if God answers my prayers and make Capcom use the eastern name order in SB:SH, I'm going to totally support Capcom and even buy the US version too. The prerequisite for my lifetime loyalty contract to SB has changed since they now announced that too. If this really happens, then I can finally throw SW away from my book, and I wouldn't have to care anymore about 'motochika chosokabe' because I'll just consider people talking about the SW character. So please make it true, Capcom. I'm also praying to God to make it happen. |

@ BlackKite: Yukimura Sanada is going to fight Masamune Date in one final clash to determine who's the strongest. I wouldn't have seen your full post if I didn't quote it. |

Ah, I'll just stick to the JP version unless there's additions to the EN version since I usually only get both versions if the second one has more content

If I had the chance, I'd get both to confront the translations and find out errors and gloat about how much it'd have been better if I did it myself (/joking) But as I don't have so much money to throw away, JP only. I'm concerned about how they will handle all historical references. Basara might not adhere to history like SW does, but they're there nonetheless... |

Well, I'm definitely getting the JP version the first chance its available for pre-order. I've stated a number of times, that for me to purchase the ENG version, they'll need to include either a Japanese voice option or use the proper god damn name order. Not only will this stop me cringing at 'Masamune Date' and 'Ieyasu Tokugawa', but it'll also teach the new comers about proper Eastern name order. I also want them to stick as close as the original game as possible, translation wise. |

Well, I can't really wait for the English version, so I'll buy the Japanese version first, then the English when it comes out. Simple as that. |

See, I must be extremely laid back to not let the order of the name bother me. So long as I know their given names are "Masamune", "Yukimura", "Billy Bob", it's all good to me. If they do it right in English, great. If they do it wrong in English, oh well. If that's the only bad thing about the English dub, then so be it. As for me, English. As much as I'd like to hear the Japanese VA's, the fact is I don't understand a lick of it beyond elementary words that any person on the internet knows. When it comes to the states, I'll hope and pray it has both language options and give them both a try. Despite not liking the game, I did like a lot of the cast from DK... now watch as I get chased out of the BASARA forums by an angry mob. What can I say? It had Gary Chalk! What is not to love about that guy? Look, I've been waiting this long for a BASARA game to come to the states, and I'm not going to let trivial things ruin my chance of getting it. Besides, importing's a *****, and with $1000 worth of repairs needed to be done on my car, I can't afford both.

if i have the console right in time of the JP release? then i'll get the JP version, obvious because its will be released first so we'll get to play it SOONER the only reason for to buy a US version is if it doesnt reduce the original contents(small chance, they most likely erase the JP VA's and takanori/A.B.S's themesong) and add new characters and contents compared to the JP version(even smaller chance) why? because for story trans we can always rely on our own makishima!>.< in fact i bet his trans are more fun to read or at least on par with the official US script(which would likely tone down aniki's attitude),as for gameplay? SB is not like SW,where failing to read mission objectives can make you lose a very simple battle of "not killing XXX&protect XXX",SB is just about "survive and win the stage by obliterating everyone else" not much japanese understanding is needed. I'll wait until the English version. However, I might buy the Japanese version... IF... 1. There is no dual voiceover option. Though this is quite the low requirement.... 2. A certain seiyuu is going to voice a new character in Basara. I am talking about... Midorikawa Hikaru or Inoue Kikuko or Shimizu Kaori. Put one of them in, and I'll consider getting the Japanese version.
And if that doesn't happen, do you throw your loyalty away from any Sengoku-based games? Edited by ChrisX, Sat Oct 31, 2009 2:09 am.

Really? That's it? That's really, really it? X_____x Huh... still, in the state my wallet is in, I can't afford to get both. Maybe I'll wait to see if there will be Japanese VA option in the US release before I decide which one to do. I hate having to import, but I guess I can spend the extra money on one... |

Yeah, there are no special losing conditions. You only lose when you die. The only thing that might be a problem is the special EXP bonus objectives which will most likely be translated. |

Me? I've been so used to playing BASARA in Japanese, totally, that I think it's safe to presume that I'll be doing as such for SB3. Besides, the temptation to be able to play the game as soon as humanly possible would just be too much to resist... |

I'll definitely get the original JP release, but whether or not I'll buy the english release depends on some things. I do want there to be a dual-audio option. People who either have grown attached to the VA's or who whine when they can't hear something in it's original format can be satisfied, and the people who prefer hearing english or don't feel like reading can be satisfied as well. I'm not entirely worried about what the characters will sound like in english. Since FUNimation is localizing the anime, I would assume Capcom would get a hold of the actors from there. Of course, there's also the problem of some things not translating well to english. Masamune won't be nearly as striking without his awesome "engrish". What's he gonna do then? Will he speak spanish or something? Maybe Capcom will go the route of "Muramasa" and just slap subtitles on and leave the voices as is. We won't hear much about the localization until after it releases in Japan, right? |

Someone mentioned Masamune could talk Gangster. Or Gangsta/Wangsta. Personally, for some reason, I think of the Fonz... Excuse me while I go wash my mind out with bleach for remove that horrible, horrible imagine of Masamune whipping out his swords and going AEYYYYY |

That IS a scary thought. I can already imagine a bonus anime cutscene where Masamune jumps over sharks on water skis. ![]() Or maybe that'll be Motochika and his anchor ..."YO, Kojuuro!" |

I'll probably buy this game English version only, and for one specific reason. Because without the proper amount of sales, this is going to be Devil Kings all over again, with Capcom once again deciding that it's just not worth localizing this franchise. Sure, they can probably see that people import the game from outside of Japan. But, so what? That just means that people are willing to pay more money for a game that Capcom is spending extra dough on localizing to their country so they can spend less on it and get it in their native language. Why would Capcom waste their cash on localizing, when others are willing to waste their cash on the original? It's sound business to pull the plug on the localization once more. And, considering not every gamer out there has the means or the desire to spend the extra money on getting an import, buying the localized version is the only way they can get their hands on the game. I dunno. Maybe it's just me, but I'd prefer to support the localization, and let Capcom know that yes, we do want this game over here something fierce, than spend some extra money (that I could put towards other things), and see this game once again bomb in the English speaking market. |

Depends on the time it takes to localize and depends on whether the English PS3 version has the Japanese VAs, with the extra storage capacity for the blu ray version there's no excuse not to now... But I will probably end up buying both, I've already bought SB2+HEROES and got by with only at best novice Japanese language skills, so what the heck it can't be much worse for SB3 can it? |

http://www.amazon.com/Sengoku-Basara-Samurai-Heroes-Playstation-3/dp/B002X9KYFW Even though this might not be the final release date announcement...itŽd be a nice one. SB3 will be released around summer 2010 and my guess is probably late July, like SB2...so itŽd only around two months... I guess now it all depends on wether it has the option of JAP voice acting + english texts or is a only english game. IŽll still buy both since I canŽt wait two months more
