Edit by Mr.Honda: FYI, make sure to check the WO2 Guide Summary topic and the first post of this help topic before posting a new question. Both topics were created to provide easy access to frequently asked questions and the various helpful guides that members here have already put together based on the JP version. Rydain's Weapon FAQ on GameFAQs: http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/file/944760/53003 List of Dream Stage characters: http://z13.invisionfree.com/koeiwarriors/i...5&#entry3812995 List of Dream Stage Requirements: http://z13.invisionfree.com/koeiwarriors/i...0&#entry3807195 Rules: Next question cannot be asked until the previous one has been answered. Asking the same question is the same as a spam post. Please do check this post before asking a question. If you do have doubts for a particular answer, feel free to ask. *Note* Answers are based on the available JP WO2 PS2 version, answers are subjected to change if a more clearer answer is found/provided *Note* People who have the EN version of WO2, feel free to answer the questions too. Q. What does the main menu show? A. Musou Mode Free Mode Dramatic Mode VS Mode Survival Mode Gallery Options Q. Default controls? A. X - Jump O - Musou Triangle - Charge Attack Square - Normal Attack Select - Call horse Start - Pause Menu D-Pad/Left Analog Stick - Move Right Analog Stick - Control Camera L1 - Block R1- Special Attack L2/R2 Change Character R3 should be change mini-map view. Square/Triangle + L1 does the assist attack when you are attack (need full Musou gauge). L2+R2 does the triple Musou, need full Musou and red health Q. Is Co-Op available during game play? What about the Teams? Do I need to share my team with my partner or can we both choose different characters? A. Yes, but they use the same 3 characters, the alternate costumes that player 1 didn't choose. In WO in the end then player who obtained most experience with a certain character will be added in the end. Q. Can you toggle on/off the enemy/ally's health bars? A. You may do so in the Options menu. Q. Does Shin Orochi have the same VA as Orochi? A. Yes he does. Shin Orochi and Orochi have the same JP Voice. Q. Which characters have the special Triple Attacks? A. Taigong Wang, Fu Xi, Nu Wa Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei Sun Ce, Sun Quan, SSX Nobunaga, Hideyoshi, Ieyasu Dian Wei, Zhou Tai, Ranmaru Hanzo, Kotaro, Kunoichi Da Ji, Zhen Ji, No Orochi, Lu Bu, Tadakatsu Xiahou Yuan, Huang Zhong, Ina Ieyasu, Masamune, Magoichi Cao Cao, Liu Bei, Sun Jian Lu Bu, Wei Yan, Mitsuhide Zhuge Liang, Zhou Yu, Sima Yi. Q. What characters do you get to start out with when you play the first time? A. Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Xing Cai, Sun Shang Xiang, Hattori Hanzo, Imagawa Yoshimoto, Honda Tadakatsu, Ina, Tokugawa Ieyasu, Cao Cao, Dian Wei, Zhang He, Nu Wa, Kunoichi, Sun Jian, Sun Quan, Huang Gai, Zhou Tai, Ling Tong, Okuni, Mori Ranmaru, Tachibana Ginchiyo, Chosokabe Motochika, Huang Zhong and Guan Ping, Xu Huang, Shima Sakon, Shimazu Yoshihiro and Miyamoto Musashi, Dong Zhuo, Orochi and Da Ji. Q. Have the categories (Power, Speed, Technique) for each warrior changed at all in WO2? A. Characters' categories are the same, but the new Stability weapon enchantment helps out some speed and tech types. Similar to the Arm Guards in DW5, it prevents characters from being interrupted during charge attacks. This makes repeated strike C3's more useful for many non-power type Dynasty Warriors because they can use them to enter crowds without getting interrupted. It's also good for characters who stand in one place during a charge attack, like Cao Ren with his C3 or Hanzo Hattori with his C4. Q. Are your allies still horribly weak against enemies in this game? A1. In WO2, you allies are rather strong with them being able to hold their ground. They also steal your kills... especially when you're playing with the enemy... A2. If you're by your allies, sometimes they'll heal themselves. A3. In WO, depending on who you met up with on the battlefield, you could form an alliance or a coalition and you personally would regain life during the time the alliance/coalition was intact. Also, when in a coalition (w/ 3rd party force) all allied armies (including 3rd party force) morale increases. I don't believe they regained any life though, so this is indeed a nice addition. Q. Like in Samurai Warriors series, when two weapons collide during battle, will we still have to press like square repeatedly in WO2? And if we win does the character do their attacks? A. The weapon deadlock system is the same as in WO and DW5. Q. Stronger specials by maxing proficiency? A. No, it decreases the damage you take from attacks this time. Q. Us there any difference when being full of proficiency or having no proficiency? A. If you want to get the last character, Shin Orochi, and a better defense. Q. How do you level proficiency and how to do it fast? A. 500 Peons or 5 Officers for 1 proficiency, best to equip Tenbu to make it faster. Q.Does this game have Personal Items(PIs)? And will each of the WO1 characters keep all their images? A. No it does not. Most of the WO1 characters keep their old images and they get 2 new ones too. Some exceptions are Yoshimoto as he has new costumes and thus, new images. Q.What happens to your WO2 save if you have a WO1 save file? A. You'll unlock the first ability for each character (potence, vitality, charge, acclaim, etc.). Q. Does the enemy soldiers still take tonnes of life even with one hit? (Easy -> Chaos) A. Damage has been less painful. Now you can survive 3 Sun Wukong juggling even without fortitude. If the damage was as heavy as WO1, you'd die easily. Sun wukong loves to create multiples to come after you. Peons do some damage, but we can treat the damage as nonexistent. Q. Does everyone moves at Red Hare's original speed? A. Not all of them. Those that you call with the whistle are close to it. Q. I've seen a survival video and it looks like health is shared among the team, but it's said in the story/free modes, each character has their own health gauge, so is that kind of accurate? A. Health is not shared by anyone, each character get their own. Only exception is in VS mode in one of the match types where you share Health Gauge. Q. Do we always have to start on horse? A. No, you don't start off on a horse if you don't want to. You must have horse ability or else no horse. And you can just whistle for the fast generic horses. Q. Does anyone know if impulse cause the the horses to be so fast? A. Impulse increases the movement speed of your characters. Cavalry increases the movement speed of your horses. The skills stack when on horseback. You'll notice this in Tetsuo9999's videos. Even "Generic Horse 5000 can go at the speed of Red Hare with high Impulse equipped. Q. Is it possible to "miss" characters while in the process of unlocking them? A. Only Shin Orochi,Feldspar (Boar) and Goldenrod (Ninja). Basically you unlock people as you complete stages. The Boar you'll need to get 25 Tenbu ingredients and the Ninja, 5. Shin Orochi is to basically clear all the Dream/Dramatic Mode stages. Q.Do people still have the first person arrow shooting from DW5? Or is that feature reserved to only bow/ranged characters? A. It has been taken out since WO1 and not returned. However, the bow/ranged characters do have arrows attacks in their R1s. Q. Like in DW5, also, in WO2, can you charge up your musou standing still by holding the Musou button? A. The feature's still in for the DW5 people and you still can charge your musou. Q. Are Dodomeki and Gyuki their names in this English version too? A. Yes. Q Does the glitch that makes Specials disappear still occur in WO2? A. No, there are no such glitches in WO2 from what I've seen. Q.How do proficiencies work in WO2? In WO, you need them to gain combos for the characters, and when it's maxed out, you get a pic at the gallery. Also, it was easy to max this in WO. A. It makes R1 Attacks stronger and it unlocks Gallery Images. For every 10 Proficiencies, you unlock an Image. Also when you get the first 10 proficiencies, you'll unlock the character's 3rd. (with the exception of Orochi X, who only have 1 costume. Q. How many artworks does each character have and how are they unlocked? A. 6. As said above, artworks are tied to the proficiency the character have. The first is unlocked from the start and the rest are unlocked for every 10 proficiencies gained. For NA/PAL PS2 versions, there are 4 however. They are unlocked for every 10 proficiencies until 30. Q. How do you unlock the Special Wallapers? A. For the Wallapaper Edit, you'll have to play as all characters (Orochi X included) and complete a stage. |

To those who have the JP version, have you been experimenting to find other special Triple Attack combos? It would be really disheartening to find that Taigong Wang, Fu Xi, Nu Wa Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei Sun Ce, Sun Quan, SSX Nobunaga, Hideyoshi, Ieyasu Dian Wei, Zhou Tai, Ranmaru Hanzo, Kotaro, Kunoichi Da Ji, Zhen Ji, No Orochi, Lu Bu, Tadakatsu Xiahou Yuan, Huang Zhong, Ina Ieyasu, Masamune, Magoichi Cao Cao, Liu Bei, Sun Jian Lu Bu, Wei Yan, Mitsuhide Zhuge Liang, Zhou Yu, Sima Yi are the only team combos in the game. |

On that topic, since Shin Orochi is basically the same as he has the same moves and VA,does he have the Team Attack with Lu Bu and Tadakatsu like Orochi did. |

Sun wukong loves to create multiples to come after you. Peons do some damage, but we can treat the damage as nonexistent. Dunno if it's just me but I feel the horses are faster than usual. Even the common ones. Could be too much SW2 on my part, I dunno. |

Not all horses. Some Generic horses(the ones you whistle for if you don't have a horse) is close to it's original but as fast as it. |

Indeed. "Generic Horse 5000" is actually quite fast in this game. Being stuck with a slow horse after accidentally losing the one you came with is a thing of the past now. This is one of the less obvious improvements in the game in my opinion, next to the babysitting fix. |
