It happens to me very often. But it annoys me when it happens on the stages that have a time limit to get the ingredients as it wastes my time, even if I skip their talking by pressing start.  :/
That's why it took me 20 tries to get the ingredient of the Orochi mission 7.

Well, I've reached a crossroad. I'm torn with what I should do first:

A. Treasure Hunting

or

B. Proficiency and level grinding, along with getting all the abilities.

I'm highly doubting on whether I should get 4th weapons or not. I remember the nightmare of getting all 79 of them in WO1, and I'm not sure I want to do it for 92, especially with Almighty added into the mix.

LOL take it easy man. Just do what pleases you. No one ever told you to have everything anyway...just have fun, I recommend you NOT to do that...it's just too much...lol

But if you don't plan to do everything, then you shouldn't even buy the game :/.

I would start with Treasure hunting. Doesn't take much time and if you want to unlock one of the coolest Dream stages in the game, you have to collect all Treasures.

Okay I know it's not good to go off-topic but I lost my nerve here.
How's that "But if you don't plan to do everything, then you shouldn't even buy the game :/." ?!
I buy the game to have fun? Not necessarily being a no-life and trying to have everything? Maybe that's the answer to your arrogant remark? PFFFT!

Jeez, calm down Mr. Stormstout >_>.

I think it's just weird if people don't plan to do everything. I'm not telling you to do it within one day or one week. You can take all the time you want (took over one year before I finally got all characters to level 99 in WO1 and trust me, I had really fun time with the game while doing it). That's what I consider as "fun" and I can't help it if you think it's "no-life".

That's quite an offensive comment considering most of us here are hardcore fans. I personally always do all the miscellaneous stuff in the Warriors games. Honestly if I play WO2 without unlocking the treasures to upgrade weapons I don't think I would get much fun out of it. Just my two cents.

Whenever I get a new Warriors game, I make it a point to do everything. Besides, isn't that what we do for every game?

I was able to get all the treasures, and promptly played the Dream Stage unlocked after that. It was AWESOME.

Before I start proficiency grinding, I'm gonna get all the abilities first.

Hmm...I'm not sure if I should be asking this here, but..

If I make a save with the Japanese version of the game, and decide to play the English one, can I load from the JP save?

I have been grinding for more Proficiency like about 7 hours today, and still no
Dream 27 unlocked yet....sigh.
basically it's like I have to 50 max a certain
amount of characters. ya I know the total is around 1000 or 2000 something.
but I cant tell if I'm close or only halfway to finally getting enough Proficiency.

and Wei 3 seems faster and easier than Wu 4, plus both
stages have the same aount of officers (about 24), but Wei 3 has them bunched up
together better and the last officers are much faster to defeat since it's just
Yuan Shao and Jiang Wei mostly (compared to Kiyomori, Lu Bu and Diao Chan in the other stage. but I also prefer Wei 3 cause it's funny seeing Jiang Wei tilt his head back when he gets creamed. XD )

I dont wanna start playing the dream stages till I have the last one unlocked. :P

I know the Sum of all character proficiency levels have to equal 2,730 or more

I probably have like 14+ characters with 50 profiency so far.

so lets see... 10 characters = 500 proficiency

20 characters = 1000 prof.

40 characters = 2000 prof.

50 characters = 2500 prof.

wow......this may literally takes DAYS just to unlock Dream 27.....

I may have to alternate between Wu 4 and Wei 3 to maintain my sanity...
this type of mandatory grinding should be reserved for mmorpgs. :P

Yes, yes I get your point and LoW's point too. I'm sorry of what I said, it's just that, being a casual player, he said that there was NO POINT on buying the game if someone didn't have the same goal as him. The way I see it, it's everyone's choice what he wants to do with the game and all.
Frankly, I max out my favorite characters and play with them over and over again. As you can see, I'm having fun too without really aiming to do EVERYTHING.
Sorry, I lost my nerve on that arrogant remark.

@saner : yeah, that kind of grinding should be fore mmorpg players! hahaha...but come to think of it...that grinding is NOTHING compared to mmorpg grinding...lol because in fact, if you really look closely at the game, warriors orochi IS grinding, all you need to do is kill peons and officers, so you actually are having fun while you're doing it! Plus there's interaction between people (officer quotes, defeat quotes, "in trouble" quotes, praise quotes...). In contrast to mmorpg grinding...you're all by yourself doing something not fun at all but you do it so you become stronger than the rest of them...that's why I've stopped playing mmorpg in the first place lol.

well the gallery is gonna be completed and fill up pretty quick.
ya almost have to max out almost 60 characters prof. to unlock dream 27,
but it was partially my goal to max out everyone (but just experience level. not prof. lol  ) so ya this is a lot of work but might be a good result.

maybe it's because Orochi X is tied to the dream completion stuff, but I really
doing it for the Wallpaper Edit option, as well as playing all the Dream stages all
at once and in order.

Does Orochi X learn Abilities?

saner, another way is to get 30 Profiency for 91 characters. That'll grant you exactly 2,730 which is required for Dream 27.

I get my Sun Jian, Liu Bei and Cao Cao to level 99 and 50 proficiency, but I dont get Dream stage 1, do i have to get Hideyoshis, NObunagas and Ieyasus aswell and those are the requirements for stage 2.

Is there a stage where you can get proficiencys easier?

Some say that it's better to do stages where there are many enemies, while others say it's better to do stages where there are many officers. Personally I don't know.
But 100 enemies = 1 officer (I think)

@wu_tiger: you need Hideyoshi lvl50 proficiency to unlock the other dream stage, therefore you didn't level him up for nothing. :D

So, for the dream stage where you have to get characters to a certain level of proficency, that wouldnt be Okuni or Noh's dream stage would it? Who's stage is it?

Dose Fu Xi appear?

After you rescue Kanetsugu and the enemy does a fire attack, Fu Xi appears and helps you turn out the fire.

After you turn out the fire, the doors open to the next area. Then Sun Wukong should start advancing after some time.

Try clearing a path for Sakon. He might be held up fighting enemies. When he's near the general area where the gate is, Fu Xi should appear.

Yes. Now I just remembered. :XD

Yukimura and Sakon must meet Kanetsugu to trigger the rest.

The first thing you must do is to kill all officers, open the gates and get to Kanetsugu to save him. after saving him and killing all officers and enemies in the area where Kanetsugu is, go help Yukimura and Sakon to meet Kanetsugu etc......

I would like your thoughts on this please. In dream stage 26, Encounter at Nan Zhong, the characters are Taishi Ci, Wei Yan, and Kojiro.

The stage consists of Lui Bei and Wu having a mock battle. And each character seems to have his own mini-mission. For example.

Wei Yan protects Lui Bei then Zhuge Liang shows up and congratulates him on protecting him.

Taishi Ci proves his might to Sun Ce by beating so many officers and Sun Ce comments on his strength.

Kojiro is supposed to save Lui Bei's peasants from the swordsman. He does this and an message pops up that Musashi is confused by Kojiro's action. But when I meet Musashi, he says, "I still see you don't know how to use your sword for helping people."

I think I'm missing somethin here. Since the other 2 characters get compliments, I'm thinking maybe I missed something because Musashi should compliment Kojiro in some way. At the very least after helping the peasants, you would think Musashi would say something in recognition of it. Anyone else have any thoughts on this? Thank you for your time.

By the way, can all Dream Mode teams do Triple Musou Attacks, becasue these three can, and I also noticed Hanzo, Huang Gai, and Xu Zhu can also.
