Well if I don't go wrong, I think Ingredients are like little treasure (it's named as gems (Diamond, ...)) you've to find in a box on the battlefield. In some stages, you've a "Treasure Guide" that's a little "mission" in the stage. When you succeed this little mission, a message appears in green ^^

Edit : Thank you so much Mr.Honda, I forgot Ingredients name in English ^^''' Thanks for correcting me ;)

What exactly are Ingredients, and how do I know if I have unlocked them?
Treasures = 30 items you complete specific requirements in certain stages to unlock (there is a "Treasure Guide" added to the pre-battle and in-battle menu). Once you complete the requirements in battle, a message will pop up (just like WO PIs). At the end of the battle, you will see a screen showing that you unlocked a Treasure (only the first time you collect it though)

To view the Treasures you have collected:

Go to Customize Weapon > Weapon Skills (forgot exact name) & press either "O" button (PS2) or 360-equivalent - there's a prompt in the lower right to view the list of Treasures

Ingredients = general term to describe both Treasures and the required weapons + attributes to create a Skill

EXAMPLE:

To add the Skill Teamwork to a weapon, you need:

Ingredients
Treasure: Diamond
Weapon: Flame 1, Range 1, Multi 1, Might 1

- You Fuse a weapon with the above weapon attributes
- Then go to the 1st option under Customize Weapon menu
- Select Teamwork and browse to the weapon you made and select it to exchange that weapon for the Skill you wish to make available
- It should show that Teamwork (1) now has one skill available to add
- Go to the 3rd option under Customize Weapon menu
- Select the Teamwork Skill, then browse to the character you want to add the Skill to and select their main weapon that you use

Once you have successfully added a skill to a weapon, if you added the skill to a low level weapon and want to add it to a higher level weapon, you can do so in the Weapon Fusion menu:

- Select your higher level weapon that you wish to use
- Select the weapon that has the Skill and fuse any attributes (Just like normal weapon fusion)
- Press left/right to view skills on that weapon that you wish to transfer/fuse to the new weapon
- Select the skill and confirm the fusion

After typing all this, simply pasting Rydain's link would've been easier :/

I still cannot get the Opal on Yang Ping gate :( . Hell, I even let her talk to all my team members and let her reach the main camp and still beat her in 4 mins. I've tried everything, I beat her less than a min, I cant think of anything else.

Do you need to do it on a perticular difficulty? Any help?

You still can't get it, I got it when I beat her up immediately when she appeared, I was at the area before the Enemy HQ, used Sun Wukong to get to her and killed her before she even finished speaking, it was on easy to, so I can't really think how you couldn't get the item... maybe the time limit is less then 4 mins...

Like I said, I beat her in about 1 min, I waited in her spot then smashed her up, but nothing happened, nothing. Lu Bu just did his speach about "No, Diao Chan..." stuff then theres no message about treasue, goes onto a new subject like morale or somthing  .

SW-8 (Dragon's Jewel):
Rydain's Weapon FAQ

_______________________________________________________________________________

Dragon's Jewel [#30]

SW 8
_______________________________________________________________________________

Requirements -----------------------------------------------------------------

Quickly do the following -

- Capture all enemy cannons.
- Defeat Da Ji and Keiji Maeda.

Recommended Method -----------------------------------------------------------

Don't be tempted by the fun assortment of officers in the middle of the map. If you do too much extraneous killing, the message spam will prevent gate opening events and whatnot. Your allies will hold their own just fine. Focus on the item requirements and ignore everything else.

To be certain, finish up within 7 minutes of the start of battle.

________________________________________

Take over the southern fort by killing the officers and gate captain inside.

Head out via the eastern path. In the next fort you see, defeat Kojuro Katakura and the base captain to capture another cannon.

Keep going north until you run into Masamune Date. Take him out and seal the nearby checkpoint to score the third and last cannon.

Kill one of the snake officer guys guarding a gate below Orochi X's main camp to open said gate. Beat up Da Ji.

Keelback and Urutu should be rushing at your main camp. Run over and show them who's boss.

If Keiji and his sneak attack squad haven't already shown up to hassle Shingen, camp out (ha ha ha) until they do. Defeat them.

Item Location ----------------------------------------------------------------

Near Orochi X.

Shu-6 (Aventurine):
Rydain's Weapon FAQ

_______________________________________________________________________________

Aventurine [#18]

Shu 6
_______________________________________________________________________________

Requirements -----------------------------------------------------------------

- Quickly foil Da Ji's plans and then defeat her.

Recommended Method -----------------------------------------------------------

To be certain, get this all done within 7 minutes of the start of battle.
Ignore everything but the required enemies and pause when people talk.
This battle is full of annoying message spam.

Another reason to ignore optional enemies - closing too many checkpoints seems to cause a red checkpoint in the north to spew peons by the boatload later in the battle. These hordes can defeat your commander even with deep blue morale. It's a good idea to seal all the northwest checkpoints before advancing, but there may not be time for that if you're getting this treasure on 1 player mode.

________________________________________

Head southeast, taking out officers along the way. Once you get to the gates, an ambush will appear. Defeat the general and all the named peons to open the fortress gate.

Inside the fort, wait around impatiently for another ambush and then kill the officer who shows up.

Rush to the top of the ramp and punish the general up there for dropping rocks on your head.

The next fort has another officer and a sorcerer. Take them both out.

Next up is a general and a miscreant ambush. Once again, defeat the officer and named peons to open the next gate in line.

Last fort. Hurrah. Beat up the snake officer guy in here.

Finally - no more stupid gates to open. Kill the sorcerer inside Da Ji's garrison. You might as well bust up her various cronies, too.

After Himiko comes out to play, defeat Da Ji.

Item Location ----------------------------------------------------------------

In the middle of the large central fort where Da Ji was.

Acclaim isncreases how much EXP. and growth points you get.

to equip it you just pick the characters, go to ABILITIES and pick a slot and choose Acclaim.

Acclaim is one of the abilities available to select prior to battle ...

Just like in WO, you can choose up to 7 abilities that affect your entire team ...

This is directly from Rampidzier's WO FAQ:

Quote:

Abilities in Warriors Orochi are unlocked by fulfilling a certain set of
conditions for a certain character. These normally involve killing a certain
amount of officers or enemies on a stage within a set time or without doing
certain things. I have listed each character by the kingdom they are in and
not by which story they are unlocked in.

If you have to fulfill a certain condition while maintaining a certain
percentage on your Life Gauge, this is not a cumulative percentage. For
example, if you have a condition to maintain 50% Life Gauge status and you
take 25% damage, if you pick up a healing item or switch your character to
heal to 100%, then you still have the 50% buffer to play with, not a 25%
buffer. Also, if you have the condition to not use any attack involving the
Musou Gauge, that means you cannot use any special attacks that use the Musou
Gauge either. This also includes the Technique counter attacks.
Furthermore, even if you pick up an infinite Musou item, you still cannot
perform a Musou attack, since your Musou Gauge will decrease temporarily and
then refill under the infinite Musou status.

The abilities you can obtain and the highest they go are as follows:

Vitality (20): Increases the length of your Life Gauge.
Focus (20): Increases the length of your Musou Gauge.
Potence (20): Increases your attack power.
Fortitude (20): Increases your defense.
Impulse (20): Increases your speed.
Cavalier (10): Increases your horse attack power. Also, the higher your
ability, the better horse you get. Furthermore, at Cavalier 10, you start
off the stage with either Red Hare or Matsukaze, depending on your
starting character.
Karma (10): Increases your luck, which increases the number of items enemies
drop.
Power (20): Increases the attack of Power characters.
Speed (20): Increases the attack of Speed characters.
Technique (20): Increases the attack of Technique characters.
Boost (20): Increases the power of charge attacks.
Awakening (20): Increases the power of Musou attacks and special abilities
that use the Musou Gauge.
Acclaim (20): Increases the amount of experience a character can gain.
Recuperate (10): Allows your resting character's Musou Gauges to refill
faster.
Conserve (10): Decreases the amount of Musou required for attacks using the
Musou Gauge.
Adrenalin (10): Life recovered when you obtain a chain of hits greater than
10.
Recover (10): Life Gauge recovers gradually.
Refill (10): Musou Gauge recovers gradually.

Ability system is exactly same in WO2 (except some abilities have higher levels because of the new characters).

Thank you Honda

@Mei Ling--You do have to unlock it but you unlock in like the first stage of the game when you first start playing. You can only equip it to three of the characters at once. Those are the three you choose for your next battle.
You can level it up by Using a characters that isnt leveled up, and follow its guide to unlock its skill(if you already have the skill you will just level it up more). Not all characters have that skill to unlock, if im right i believe it can only go up to 15or20.
Hope that helped.

Acclaim - Defeat 3 officers, while maintaining 50% Life Gauge
status, without performing any attack using the Musou Gauge.

So....if I do that with a character that gets the skill (Zuo Ci, Guan Ping, etc.) and the skill unlocks, it's there permenantly and I can use it on anybody?

The following characters are able to learn Acclaim ability:

Guan Ping (3rd)
Dian Wei (4th)
Cao Cao (2nd)
Cao Pi (2nd)
Pang De (3rd)
Taishi Ci (4th)
Sun Jian (2nd)
Sun Quan (3rd)
Lu Meng (3rd)
Huang Gai (4th)
Sun Ce (4th)
Yuan Shao (3rd)
Meng Huo (4th)
Zuo Ci (1st)
Orochi (2nd)
Nobunaga (3rd)
Kenshin (4th)
Shingen (2nd)
Hideyoshi (4th)
Tadakatsu (4th)

The number behind the character is Ability's number. For example, in order to get learn Acclaim with Guan Ping, you first need to learn two other Abilities with him.

If I wanted to level it up, I would have to use one of the characters that gets it? I mean in terms of having to do the same thing (Like....defeating 60 enemies as Zuo Ci) Or do I just play through the game, defeating officers, and it gradually levels up?

No, once you have learned the Ability with the character you can't learn it again. This means, that in order to get Acclaim 20, you need to play with all characters who I just listed in my last post.
