Blum IS talented, dunno what you're talking about. If Steve does come back(which is unlikely), I'll be more satisfied. |

They explode whenever someone step on them. I love that o.o (the explosions are bigger and stronger too it seems) To be frank, in my opinon having to place all the mines and then exploding them manually was a waste of time. o.O" (you could fix that in SW2xl with that "special stance after attack" ability but still) |

Yes, this was changed in SW3. Now only special types have two specials (which I actually think is a good thing, it balances the movesets better and makes special types more useful by comparison. Though I certainly would have preferred they added specials instead of take them away, but.. what's done is done). Also, any specials that consumed Musou in SW2XL no longer do so in SW3. So yeah, you can spam Motochika's bubbles and Katsuie's explosions as much as you want. |

It's the Dragon's Tail from SW2. 52 attack power, fire element and eight bonuses. (?) Well, anyone can assume using Motochika's and Katsuie's specials prove their MS to be a bit "broken," to say the very least? Edited by Kaon, Tue Dec 8, 2009 6:04 pm.

So...is that his 3rd or 4th from SW2? It's been a long time since I've played it since I didn't bring my PS2 with me when I moved. |

Hey, at least there are 4th weapons in this game, unlike a certain other. *glares at said other game* Declone my Lu Meng and we'll talk again. Overall this game is looking pretty good, with a few issues here and there. But it's what I'd expect, if not a little more, from Koei and is definitely warranting a purchase. I just fear the English dub is going to ruin the emotional impact of some of these scenes... but it's something that can't be helped, I guess. If the disc is already full as is, then there's no hope for a Japanese audio track. |

I remember what it looked like. I'm surprised they got rid of his SW2 3rd. I have no idea why they'd revert back to his SW2 1st and get rid of everything inbetween. His SW2 2nd was dumb, I'm happy to see that go, but his 3rd was pretty swell. |

Well, the normal, speed and power weapons are back from DW6, and the ones used in the renders are just the normal weapons, his third weapon my be his powere weapon in this game, i'm not sure though as i have not played it. |

I dunno. They still take a few seconds to activate, so that helps balance it out. Also, Katsuie's explosions only activate when a hit connect, no more whiffing so that helps. And for Motochika, I somehow feel his non bubble attacks aren't as good as they were in 2XL. So eh, I somehow feel they aren't as broken as you're thinking. Though I really haven't messed around with Motochika outside of his story, so.. Edit: And don't get your hopes up about weapons: they're only recolors. Normal weapons tend to be well.. normal. Speed tend to be blue recolors, Power tend to be red recolors. Edited by Divine Justice, Tue Dec 8, 2009 6:06 pm.

Welcome the land of palette swaps. All of his weapons use his normal lunar spear model, except the coloring: speed is overlaid in blue, and power is dominantly red. Ah, I forgot about Katsuie's special when not hitting any targets. I've yet to see/read what Motochika's sounds bubbles have in store... :\ Edited by Kaon, Tue Dec 8, 2009 6:08 pm.

I didn't mind there being only 3 weapon types, per say, just the fact that there were no fourth ones and requirements to unlock them. Even Red Hare and the horses were pretty random... why do you leave a horse like that up for chance? I'd rather go through some silly or ridiculously hard steps to unlock them than leave it up to chance, because I have no luck. Ever. By the way, to those that have played, does the Power weapon move slower? Like heavy weapons in DW5?? |

Note: The book called "Taiko" that I've mentioned once has arrived today. I've read into it a few pages wildly mixed through and I can only recommend it. It focuses on Hideyoshi, however Shingen Takeda, Kenshin Uesugi and other great war lords as well as minor people are mentioned or even included. The writting style is - in my eyes - beautiful and brings well accross what is going on - including emotions. I've purposely seeked out a section that I was curious about being portrayed. Hanbei's death. For those that do not know: Hanbei died from sickness instead of on the battlefield, like samurais 'should', however I have to say his 'dying scene' in this book is really something I'd like to call epic. I'm looking forward to devouring this book. If you are incertain, check out the link I provided earlier. It can give you a good preview of what to expect. It will also be interesting comparing this portrayal to SW3 and older installments. All I can say at this point is: - Hanbei is still my favourite character - now more than ever - Kanbei appears to 'evil' in SW3 compared to what I've read, but I actually like him as much as before - if not more thanks to this book. All characters in the book seem rather lively and each that I've encountered far in my small reading (Hideyoshi, Nobunaga, Ranmaru, Hanbei's sister, Kanbei's son) has grown on me even more, thought not all of them have been goody-goodies. Since SW3's focus is 'bonds' I definitly think that Hanbei's story was a rather well done, thought I have only understood little of what has been said. I still regret for no Nene-Hanbei scene existing, but I guess it wouldn't be fitting (which reminds me, that I'm eager to read about her). I'm hoping for interesting conversations during battle between Hanbei and Hideyoshi and am seriously interested in seeing how Nobunaga reacts to Hanbei, thought I fear that the later might have not been taken into consideration. Well, enough rambling about that ![]() I'm eager to enjoy the game now, but until it's release in EU I've got a certain book to keep me happy.

So, just curious, since I've been out of the loop quite a bit lately, are there no 1st, 2nd, 3rd weapons? Just the 3 types, like DW6, and then a unique? |

It's a bit related to DW6's weapon system to say the very least. The only difference I forgot to point out is that the weapons have a predetermined attack power and don't decrease/increase whenever you obtain a new one. Yukimura's normal weapon remains at 39, speed at 27, power at 55, and unique at 52. So it's actually four types: Normal, speed, power, and unique(fourth) weapons. |

The DW6 had different names. I think Lu Meng's WERE Valor, Spirit and... uh, Wisdom? I used Valor a lot and didn't pay attention to the other ones. *shrugs* Makes sense to do that here too. |

I am fine with it because there are unique weapons Almost all of us will use Unique weapons That what happen in every game It seems SW3 is better than DW6 but only.. Graphic I don't care .. I care more about The gameplay & the story ,, I'm surprised no one yet hacked the game.. |

Dangit, Koei. Yet again, a lack of weapon progression. This is a very poor trend they're following. At least there's still uniques. |
