There are no alt costumes. Instead we can change the colors of certain aspects of their regular costumes.

I'm gonna go around with an all pink Nobuanga and an all black Tadakatsu.
This is a good thing. Koei's recolors are very hit & miss. Some end up being awesome (I liked a lot of the DW6 ones) but more often they end up being horrific. (most of the SW2 and a good number of WO recolors)

I like the idea of being able to have my own personal designs. For instance, if Koei had put in the recolor you are planning on making for Nobunaga, I would be a very sad panda. However, your personal recolor won't affect my game in the slightest. :D

That being said, I'm likely to have a Dark Tadakatsu, as well. Probably not ALL black, but a very large amount of it. :ph43r:

No I don't mean this
I mean those are 2 reasons why there might be a port

1.Sales are not good
2.Free mode only & Cuts (maybe because of alot of Data disc)

they are just two different point

I'm still not so certain about there being a port. While the PS2/Xbox and PS3/360 are similar enough system-wise that a port can be done cheaply to expand the market, the Wii is really different from the other systems. Porting this game would require the entire game to be remade from scratch: code, cg, data, etc. I'm not sure a port would be as financially feasible as people seem to think.

Not to mention, if the rumor that DW is going to be PS/Xbox and SW is going to be Wii is true, then that pretty much has sealed the fate of the series as not ported to anything excluding possibly the NDS.

Now, sure, I'd love to get a PS3 version, but I wouldn't hold my breath just yet. There are plenty of reasons to expect that one will not ever come, and only one reason to think it might.

Basara is shared because it was planned that way from the start. It's not some port done after the game is done. Honestly, until you've done software development, it's really best you don't assume it's easy "just like that"

Koei's ports have always been done as inexpensively as possible. This is a very different scope you're talking about.

Oh... I understand now..

But I am really surprised ... not because It's on Wii.. Bevause It's Wii exclusive ...

Do they know most of SW fanboys are Sony fanboys?

There'll be quite a large amount of Pink and Rainbowy-clear sparkly colours in my recolours - that's for sure 8).

Pink Hanzou!

But yah - I love the do-it-yourself pallet swap x3

That'd be swell for the Ps3 users I guess.
Though- I own no Ps3 nor a 360 and I'd choose Murasame over Online co-op any day o.o

I don't mind online play - I just don't see how it can be amusing in a Warriors game
<_<" no fan of headsets and stressystuff (I'm an art student D:! not a hardcore gamer xD)

A Ps3 version would increase the sales in EU and NA I guess - but I don't care as long as I get a wii copy n_n.

Don't get me wrong.. I will be getting it for the Wii
& they are many who loves to play a story mode with their friend.

It's ok if we didn't get a port & Murasame is still cool
I was just saying what might happen when It's get ported

& yes The port is needed for people who skipped this for it & the low sales on the Wii

If the rumors are true and Koei's new policy of

DW=PS3 & 360
SW=Wii

stays to that effect, then I see no problem with it. If SW is a Wii thing now, that's fine.

I mean, sheesh, I never realized how spoiled some of us are today. Back in the SNES/Genesis days gamers weren't like this. If a game stayed console exclusive, people accepted it.

I love playing with friends :3. But only friends who are physically there <>_<>
Though again - I don't usually play with people, I play to pass time or when I'm having uncreative moments XD.

And I bet there will indeed be a lot of people skipping this game because it's not for their console. Who bothers buying a new console just to play one game? I would skip this game too if I had a ps3 or 360 and not a Wii - though that is not the case.
Suits me perfectly - I'd skip this game if it wasn't for the Wii xD

*cough*I would*cough* It was a one-time experience though and it didn't turn out well as I thought it would.

Same here, multi-platforms these days are spreading like wildfire. Only because third-party game developers were "loyal" to either Nintendo or Sega back in the day, until Playstation came out, later the X-Box. Just a personal assumption though.

Well, I bought PS2 because I wanted to play Tekken 4 >_>.

I don't have any of the current gen consoles but I've been planning to buy one next year. If it indeed turns out that SW3 will remain Wii exclusive, then that's the console I'll buy.

Edit: Oh, I see.. those are the objectives to complete Takamaru's 3rd special missions... that's disgusting. :/
Wholeheartedly agreed. Murasame mode is one of, if not the most frustrating tasks to ever grace the Musou series.

The last Takamaru Quest coupled with the last two levels of the castle (nearly beat the last one today only to die against the extremely annoying last boss with cheap gimmicks that can kill you insanely fast) make me despise everything about Murasame. Some of the levels were fun and interesting at first, or at least varied enough from past SM castles to make them somewhat tolerable, but the aforementiond 3 should be burned. Matsukaze is hardly worth the time and frustration over the levels/quests, and this is only on regular difficulty. God knows how anyone would be able to actually stomach and beat it on hard for the bear.

In short, can't wait for this to be removed from the ports. Will open up so much more room for actual worthy content instead.
Indeed. For those of you like LoW who absolutely love modes that beat the **** out of you, this mode is for you. It really doesn't get more challenging than this in a musou game :/

Speaking of though, does anyone even know how to beat Murasame? I fought him yesterday after getting through his castle (5 floors-first four floors each have a castle lord at the end of them!) only to find out that nothing I was hitting him with did any damage. Musou Ougi, Charge attacks, Musou Ougi Kaiden... the only thing I can think of that I didn't try is Eigi. Is that the key? :/

If Murasame mode is that hard, I may actually have fun with it. I mean, this could be the most challenge in a Warriors game I've had in a long time.

DJ: I'm pretty sure you have to keep attacking his tail. After awhile his aura dies down and he falls on the ground for a little bit, and then you can start doing damage to him. Watch out for that damn fire circle he puts on the ground though- it'll stay there even if Murasame gets knocked out and if you get caught in the middle of it you're pretty much done for.

Companies don't always release info, this is often part of their market strategy. It's highly possible that KOEI could have been planning a PS360 port; as a "safety net" if the game would fail on the Wii.

The color depends on the weapon type. If I recall right there are Normal, Speed and Power. Speed weapons are blue while Power weapons are red. Normal weapons do not have changed color. All weapons seem to be the 3rd weapons for each character.

I might be wrong, but that's what I have understood.

Ishida Mitsunari, Sanada Masayuki, Sanada Yukimura vs Hojo retainers from the Narita clan (Kaihime's one of them).

He took the name Tachibana after he married Ginchiyo. I think Dosetsu appoints him as heir before that.

Btw, Dosetsu and Muneshige's dad, Takahashi Shoun, were the Otomo's best retainers.

Thanks a lot :) . Erm, if they were Otomo's best restainers, why did they end up going independent.

Both Shoun and Dosetsu died battling the Shimazu (good reason for Muneshige and Ginchiyo to hate Yoshihiro). Otomo Sorin was nothing when Yoshihisa was right in his door, so he requested Hideyoshi to take care of them and then Hideyoshi have all Kyushu.

After Sorin died, he got replaced by his son Yoshimune, who is one of, if not the, worst leaders in the era. Hideyoshi granted a permission for Muneshige to be independent.

If the sales are not good, that would most likely lead to a port only for japan, and seeing as japan's biggist system is the wii and not the ps/xbox.. its hard to see them even bringing out a port for a game that had low sales on the top system. The game is also still a nintendo wii exclusive, so it would be a while untill a port comes out (if one at all).

Yes there are things a new port can bring and lose... but u have to think of the buisness side of things. As people say, koei is all about the money, and at the moment... a port to the ps and xbox looks like a bad move in the japanese gaming buisness.

-ps - I have looked at the sale statistics of the wii/ps/xbox... But i have not seen the sales for sw3 so i dont know how low of sales it had if it did..

-Edit- allthough this could be the number of sales - 121,948 sold.. (but i could be wrong so dont rely on that, the site i got it from looks pretty legit, but the sw3 section looks in an empty state) - Looking at some more sites, it seems sw3 sold really good in japan, even if that number seems small compared to the new super mario brothers wii game.-
