Oh, haha. Well, thanks for putting them up at least.
(You're probably still a good artist on paper though.)

And I assume this question is probably getting old fast, but do we have all the stages revealed or are we lacking some?

Additional to the Motonari speculation I had he might also just stand there and shoot his arrows.

Adding on to the Kuno/Yuki thing, I assume they're going to be closer because apparently she admires him much more. On the scene where she was on the horse or whatever I'm pretty sure she was trying to go after Yukimura or something as of that.
And finally, I need to stop editing my posts.

Well, I'm only a few pages late... Black Friday and work and all. X_X How did I live these past two days? They are a blur...

Anyway, I give Motonari my 100% approval... Yue Yingish weapon, but that's okay. I kind of liked that moveset anyway, and I'm sure Koei will do something unique with it. He looks younger than I expected, but that could just be the size and quality of the image itself. Can't wait to see a bigger one...

Can't wait until next Thursday. It'll be sweet.

i was really hoping we would get 5 unpcs but it seems like were only going to get 3 which makes me sad  . i'll get over it though :) .
the game comes out next thursday but i'll have to wait until the europe release date which i hate lol, i really want to play kuno cause its been so long since i've played as her and sw1 and wo won't keep me occupied for ever. i asked this before but got no answer, in caw are there only 3 weapons to choose from. if so that isn't good imo.

I am actually kind of fine with that, SW1 only had those 3 weapons too. It would be nice if we could use the others tho.

i feel it limits your choices for creating characters (looks like my army of kuno clones may not be possible lol)

You could always make some Kunos in DW6:E with Gan Nings moveset :)

I am still wondering how the Nene and Kuno movesets will play out, will they be kept the same or not? hmmmmm

I have the feeling that they're doing less UNPC's so that they have to do less work of de-cloning when they release 3:XL. Anybody else think so?

It wouldn't surprise me in the least, but look at the UNPC to playable character conversion in SW1 to XL. Ieyasu, Nagamasa and Kennyo were still UNPCs. Only reason why SW2 had all their UNPCs turn playable was the simple fact that there were only two.

Just because they have UNPCs doesn't mean they are obligated to turn all of them playable come XL. I'm just saying...

Indeed, but they have started somewhat of a trend with 1 and 2. But maybe you're right. It could just be a sparse fragment of hope in my mind that we'll get more characters soon

Well, that was only 2, true.....but this time, it's only 3 (I think)

It's only 1 more UNPC than last time, and I think that Koei is nice enough to give em unique movesets and make them playable in SW3:XL.

And it would be nice of them to give them unique movesets, along with bringing a certain group of 3 characters.....

Well in the first one they didn't bring Kennyo back at all. Wasn't he supposed to be playable but they had lack of time? Since he had character art and all.

But you guys are jumping to conclusions. There may not be an XL considering CAW and Turamasa mode are in this game alone. But, who knows what they'll do. You can never read Koei.

Now you're the one jumping to conclusions, friend. Who's to say they won't be an XL?

If Koei loves money, then chances are they'll save stuff for XL and maybe a Special. Wouldn't be our loveable Koei if they didn't try to weasel their way into our wallets otherwise.

No he wasn't supposed to be playable. Saito Dosan was years back but they never went threw with it. Though I don't expect to see till SW4 ;)

i think the people at Koei need to make stories for the characters that don't have one, like make in an XL title or DLC hopfully XL lol

If anything, that'll be a Special, aka the Ports. Then, Empires (maybe) and then XL, to make the UNPCs playable, maybe an update on the Edit Officer features, and even bring back some cut characters.

At this point, though, I'm just eager to get the game, as 'unpolished' at it may seem. I'll worry about ports and expansions later...

If there's one thing KOEI has shown use TIME and TIME again, it's that they're one thing: Cheap

If they can cash in, they will. Trust me. I have little doubt that there will be XL, even less towards Empires.

This is how I see it. With the whole XL thingy. They've cut three characters Gracia, Kojiro, and Musashi. Then we have 3 UNPC Aya, Masanori, and Unknown. That would make six characters they could make playable with unique new weapons or maybe same weapons just revamped. Remember wat they did with Yoshimoto. They cut him in SW2, but brought him back in SW2 XL. They also made Kojiro and Katsuie playable with unique weapons, and brought along 3 new characters for a total of 6. And If my memory is on point, they de-cloned 6 DW6 characters too for DW6 Special. Hopefully, they will do the same thing here. Make the 3 UNPCs playable with unique weapons and also bring back Gracia, Kojiro, and Musashi, probably/maybe with revamped looks and weapons.

(Just a speculation BTW. I think this is wats going to happen.)

But anyways, Motonari keeps growing on me more and more. His weapon kinda resembles Yue Yings, but then again she didn't even shoot arrows. She shot balls of light like Himiko. Motonari might be all range like Sun Shang Xiang, with a few flips here and there to give it some kool appeal. I think he has a better chance of being an all range fighter like Shang Xiang, than a slasher shooter like Yue Ying.

I despise their interpretation of Motonari right now. I think its terrible and uninspiring. Hopefully he can get a makeover in SW4 ;_;

Really, you don't even have a good enough shot of him. Talk about being too judgmental towards looks.

At least wait for a full body shot? Then you're more than welcomed to trash him all you like if you still hate him.

As for me? I'm kind of partial to him, but we'll see if anything chances when a full body shot comes. I'm more interested in his personality and story. Looks are purely secondary.

Edit: I like SB Motonari's hat, though... tis sexy. Just wanted to point that out before SB fans got all in a frenzy thinking I was even remotely bashing their beloved series.

It doesn't help that SB Motonari's weapon is total win, let's hope that SW3 Motonari's move-set is equally as awesome as his SB counterpart

@Chibi - Looks have been everything for me so far in terms of KOEI's DW and SW. Call me what you want, I don't like what I see so far :D

It's a bit generic, but that's all. Plus we have yet to see a better image. It's all just a matter of opinion, I guess.

When it comes to an XL, I have my fingers crossed that they'll add more characters as well as the cut ones and the NPC's. This is a little far fetched of course, but you never know. Whatever happens, I'm still getting this game as soon as it hits North America. I just hope it doesn't take too long.

I don't care about looks when it comes to male characters. Doesn't matter how Motonari looks like in SW3, he is still superior to most guys historically.

We're all judgmental, in a way, so no big deal. I just find it humorous how so many have already passed judgment when it's not even that great of a shot of him.

Some things are more important to others, yes, but if looks were everything, I half wondered how many people ever played old school games at all. They probably didn't. (Not directed at you, but people who hold appearances at a ridiculously high standard...)
