I reallllly hope, that this gets ported, Koei if you are reading this the PS3 or the PSP would be perfect, please Koei i hate to see such a good game go to waste.
Taking it to the Wii was about sales now think about us your ever loyal fans!!!
well about sales... T_T
the first day sale was only 81k so it wasn't anything great still T_T

I think we'll be seeing this on the Sony PSP because then they will not have to redo the HD part of the game :P (I have no idea how game dev works, I just felt that way xD)

Bought this game yesterday, played Kaihime and I really think I was playing as Ivy from Soul calibur, well I guess both of them use sword to whip weapons.
Great game, but after playing too much ps3 I can't help but to think it loads slowly just like the ps2 nothing bad though

Spoiler: click to toggle

Great game though, did not regret buying it and made my modded machine un modded.
It would be awesome if it goes onto other systems such as the ps3 then we can have free online play lol

Actually if they were going to offer free online play they could just offer it on the wii.

That's not because of the Wii, contrary to what so many people believe, want to believe, or jumping on the bashwagon.

It was because of:

Add to the fact that Final Fantasy XIII was coming out in two weeks... yeah. If ever there was bad timing for a release, it was December 3, 2009.

ok before i say this, i'm going to say that whinning about the Wii is getting REALLY OLD no one really gives a crap, seriously if you have one then hush and get it, and if you don't then go buy one, they've dropped to like 200 u.s. dollars now, which is pretty decent. and they said WII EXCLUSIVE for a reason, yes you can debate on this with the back up of Koei's past but nothing is ever that predictable, which it wouldn't make sense for them to say that in the first place and then turn around and put it on several other consoles, as i said not only is would that be pointless to say and such but it would cost a truck load of money. So in other words shut up ;) i know thats rude but its grinding on my last nerve get with the program!.

anyways, for the one's that have the game and have played it what is your personal rating? ^_^

OMG finally someone said that!! Thank you x_hitomi_x!!
The complaints of the Wii is getting pretty old now and people are either going to have to get/buy the wii if they want to play that bad or deal with it. Not trying to be mean, but if the problem is that 'bad' then they should handle it themselves :0

It is annoying about Final Fantasy and New Super Mario Bros coming out, although we just have to brace ourselves and carry on.

I just hope SW3 does quite well in Japan so it'll cine out here

Around Feb-March please

I am not moaning about the Wii, iam simply saying that Koei took SW3 to the Wii because the Wii has sold many units and the games on the Wii sell like hell, and i would love to see the game on the PSP too! And for your information there is already a hate topic for the Wii

Odani, Hasedou... and Kyushu?

... What? Oh boy, shared maps again. I thought I was done with that in Dynasty 4. But alright, thanks dood.
Every game since DW4 has had shared stages, y'know. I think DW5 is the only exception but my memory's foggy on that one.

And yes, Hasedo is a siege-turned-retreat in SW3.
Hah, noticed that one clearly. What I meant was sharing stages en masse. Dynasty 5, 6, Samurai 1 and 2 had minor recycles here and there whereas Dynasty 4 had I think 17 maps and they stretched those out over 52 or so stages. I thought we were done with massive stage sharing after 4.

It's great to hear that they change the environment for each stage though, that's exactly what I was wondering about earlier today. At the very least they'll all feel different.

It's not like SW2's where shared stages have no real difference from the original(sans Tetorigawa/Kusegawa's weather difference.)
Not exactly though. Sure you'll play a stage like Kasai-Osaki that's visually different from Ishigakibara, but then you'll also have a stage like Kyushu, Hasedou, and Odani that are essentially the exact same. It's a mixed bag. And if we look at your list and add in those other 3, we have a total of 29 shared stages, compared to about what, less than 10 uniques (I can't even think of 10 off the top of my head. Yamazaki, Sekigahara, Anegawa, Komaki...)?

Yeah we can justify them by saying there was no disk space, or that they may look different, but in the end they're shared and copies and it does eventually take something away from the game. Maybe it's just me, but whatever. I'd rather every scenario be unique from one another. But anyways.

Quickly, run away before the rapid Wii bashers find you! Be free! Be free!

I jest, but only partially.

If anything, if gives my Wii a reason to exist. That and Epic Mickey... I've gotten over my initial beef and boy am I looking forward to it. ^_^

If I recall right DW5 didn't have any shared maps. All 34 were unique (but some were very small, i.e Wan castle, Chang Shan or Sun Ce's fight with Yu Ji).

But on topic, does anyone know is there any rivalry between Tadakatsu and Keiji in this game (like in SWXL)?

Shared maps have never been a problem for me either. Even though SW1 and DW4 had a lot of shared stages, at least the story, armies, weather, scenery were different for the most part. SW2 also featured shared maps such as Pirate Attack/Osaka Bay, Village Rescue/ Attack on Saika Village and Ueda Castle/Takeda's Last Stand.

Nah, it seems like this angle for the two of them was dropped after XL1. I don't think either of them had any significant interaction with eachother aside from the usual one or two lines that basically every character has with one another in this game.

From what I've gathered in the cutscenes? Nope. Could be wrong, though, as cut scenes are, what, 50% of the story these days?

No, which is a huge let down. Though they have some interaction here and there (such as Muneshige calling him out at Sekigahara), there is no definite rivalry established between the two. Which, again, sucks. :/

Yeah I even read somewhere that Hideyoshi once said "Tadakatsu in the east" and "Muneshige in the west". I originally assumed they would definately make them rivals because of this.

Bah, sucks for Honda. His rivalry with Keiji in XL was awesome and I was hoping they would keep it in future installements or give him a new rival.

So what's that guy's story in SW3 anyways? Hope it's not copy and paste from SW2.

Tadakatsu's story is pretty straightforward, serving as the main Tokugawa frontliner and such. It's not as crap as his SW2 story but not as good as his SW1 story, but the ending FMV is pretty nice.

Been playing this game for a couple of hours now... I want to ask, how to unlock more characters? I have completed 3 musou modes, Yukimura, Oichi and Kaihime but I haven't got any extra characters.
Is there a thread about this? Help please :)
