I must admit, I disagree completely with their idea that SW3 would be the perfect game for using the Wiimote. On paper, it may look like an ideal match, but in practice, it'd be quite different, in my mind. I'd prefer to avoid berserk flailing and spastic slicing as much as possible, and years of Koei games have made my thumbs nigh invincible, so... |

I like how there's nary a mention of the Eigi combo system, nor how the AI - peons included - rapes you on Hell difficulty and even on Hard. |

I agree completely. Besides, Koei already tried taking advantage of the motion controls with SW: Katana, and that was almost universally panned as a failure. So I guess with Western reviewers, Koei's damned if they do, damned if they don't. Reminds me of when Bladestorm came out. "So, it's gonna be Dynasty Warriors: Europe. Why don't you come up with some new ideas Koei?" *after it came out* "What's with all this squad nonsense? Why can't I just go wipe out the enemy army by myself?" Yeah, Western reviewers are tools. The rest of you need to take a chill pill, though. It's not the end of the world. I'm with Kebing here. This was entirely to be expected. Edit: @ Seraphil: You know why those weren't mentioned, right? Because the reviewer probably only played on Normal (or lower) and got through every stage he played by mashing the three attack buttons. Edited by Scarmiglione, Wed Dec 23, 2009 5:48 am.

No surprise there. I'd say that 99% of Western reviewers have reviews like that. What's still sad is that they don't even bother to go in depth. They just judge it by it's cover and bam. The guy hasn't obviously hasn't seen or heard of Katana. I won't say that Katana was bad, but the fact that it wasn't even mentioned shows how lousy he researches. As a Mass Communication graduate and familiar with articles, I could sue for libel if I wanted to. But alas it's the internet, everything goes. |

Well, I suppose we should keep in mind that this is the first official Warriors game made for Wii. And since we are talking about Wii, I guess Wii fanatics expect every game to take advantage of console's unique controllers >_>. If game feels like X360/PS3 games, I suppose it's a big fail in their eyes. |

The problem is with the controls on the Wii remote, not the game you idiot, The plot is great and i like being more powerful than all the soilders that is the point of the game, this is the same when the reviewed warriors orochi 2 and gave it a 2/5 |

Just because of that its a fail? thats RIDICULOUS! Utterly RIDICULOUS! There are games for the 360 and PS3 which dont necessarily need the controller however the one that comes to mind is the singstar and lips brand of game, but the Wii owner cant expect EVERY game to be like Wii sports/fit/resort if thats what the wii only has to its name then its not good since theres no variation at all in the games designed for it! bidfubuoi\eafbobasoiufbgiuaBGIYUO\AEGBYIUBTGYIFBVUAOSBGIUFBAISUYGBIUABGUOEIDOBGOUDBIABRGI; /RANT sorry haha. are all the characters for pourchase the same price or if you compared Hideyoshi to Nene, would Hideyoshi be more expensive etc? |

You would think they would be albe to spell toyotomi.. That alone makes the review fail... If they cant even learn to spell something in-game then i dont care for it, there a bunch of morons who obviously havent even played the game for more then 30 mins. And tbh who cares what the idiot reviewers think about the game.. Everyone here likes/loves the game and thats what really matters : ). They should go back to there mario and skillfully and excitingly mash that jump button.

I gave a try on Mitsunari's weapon today, my hand is totally frozen, its hard and tired lol oh and I failed The reasons why I failed was because the East Gate did not open within 7 minute for me to kill an officer within 8 minutes also Tadakatsu failed to get me to red health lol ![]() This game is very difficult because you get missions that are impossible (for me anyway) to do -.- Edited by Oreadia, Wed Dec 23, 2009 12:20 pm.

Ugh... while this sort of review isn't surprising, it's still irritating. It's like reviewers will take any opportunity they can to bash the series. >.> Oh well, it won't stop me from buying the game, so whatever. Stupid reviewers can think what they want. The fans are still getting the game either way. And the idea that every Wii game has to use motion controls is ridiculous. Clearly they never played Katana or Soul Calibur Legends, aka the epic failures that resulted when a series tried to get in on motion-based gameplay. |

Well, I think at first glance, one probably WOULD expect Warriors to use motion controls to hack and slash, but: a) That would get VERY tiring fast. I still cry when I think of running in Katana. b) It still wouldn't work for combos very well. Now perhaps KOEI could have put some motion controls into the game, like using a jiggle to start your Musou, or bringing back the old first person bow&arrow by pointing at the screen, but perhaps doing so would have introduced more problems than it would have solved. In the end, I think I, and probably Nintendo as well, am generally happy that the Wii has 1 more non-gimmicky game in its library. |

I'm with you on that one. One less 'casual' game on the Wii is definitely a good thing. I will admit the idea of jiggling the controller for musou or something simple like that would be alright. But not full-on motion controls. Then they'd be complaining about sore arms, not sore thumbs. But yea, I'm happy with what we're getting, they can gripe about it all they want. Yeah. It's a definite we well expect the same crap from places like Gamefaqs, IGNorant, and Gamespot. Nintendo Official Magazine will definitely review it as well, and X-Play certainly will be up to their old spew. In fact I'd say the only fair site to give reviews for any game is Gametrailers. On topic, regarding reused maps, I'm cool with that, at least it's not like DW4's map style. The only cool maps in that game were the complete maps. Even DW4XL reused them for the legend mode stories. |

Well i guess you don't know until you try, although Koei should have learnt after kantana that it wouldn't work, you have to be a fan of the series to understand the plot and thats why the game got a bad review basically, the game doesn't work well on the Wii, and that newbies to the series won't understand whats going on |
