Moving on...

wonderpierrot uploaded some Murasame Castle mode gameplay. Apparently, any character can use the eagle but only in Murasame Castle mode.

Video here.
Just noticed this. Great video that shows off Murasame pretty well (and people get to see one of the first few appearances of the "evil lightning bolt archers from hell" that love to swarm the last few stages :hehe: ). It was really smart to use the 10 sec Musou item at the beginning because to me that was the most frustrating mob of enemies in the whole stage.

In my opinion, getting to choose and use an item to use on in battle makes the game kinda easy, but i guess if u couldent have that option then the game would be to hard lol... i dunno though, i havent played it >.<...

I'm not 100% sure, but I think there are far less recovery items throughout the stages so when you need to heal quickly ya have to have a item for it or be lucky enough to find something by you. I haven't played SM3 too much overall tho so I may be wrong, since I decided to go back and play the series in order (instead of simply starting with 3) and I just started 2 after beating 1XL.

It also seems that you have to choose between healing items or items for completing the missions. So if you're trying to get the 4th level weapons, you're playing it on hard without much healing.

What I'm saying, is that if you look at the videos that show a player choosing their items, the items on the bottom row generally have at most 1 healing item (the Dango item) and are made to help achieve the side missions for a stage. As a 4th weapon must be acquired on Hard or Chaos by doing all the side missions, the easiest way to do so will be to take the bottom item set. However, this means that you will have to rely on healing from boxes since enemies will not be dropping any and you will only have at most one as an item.

Ergo, the item system is not as trivial as joetri10 is making it sound.

Something else I thought of recently.

The new Eigi attack: Does it mesh well with the game or does it make it too easy?

I mean, you seem to be able to juggle easily with it so long as you have the Rengi guage filling up as fast as it does, you can pick enemy generals up from off the ground with it, you can interrupt almost any of your attacks with it, it breaks guards... There aren't enough videos of Hell difficulty for me to properly judge but I haven't seen enemy generals attempt to jump out of the juggling yet. I like that I saw them using it against the player and I know it's limited to the new guage but still, I'm worried about it.

I think you can. If you can edit the appearence of playable characters, I don't see why CAW can't be edited multiple times as well.

You can edit some of your CAW after making them, but you can't change their weapon or a few other details I'm too tired to think of right now.

Having Murasame stopping my way of getting the horse was ruining for me as well lol
I don't use it to get weapons or anything, just for Murasame because that was impossible for me
I tried over 60 times and still no luck so I had to use the cheap way xD

As for CAW editing, I haven't try it yet
I just got the unlimited HP cheat and that was it
As for where I got the codes, well I got it from GameFAQ.
Also I found it on some Chinese websites
if you want the site I can give it =]

There are cheats for Samurai Warriors 3? Do you mean like using third-party cheats or already built-in-game cheatcodes from Koei?

Now, now... to each their own. A challenge is only fun if it seems beatable based on your skills. If you can't do it no matter how hard you try, then it's just frustrating and detracts from other things that could be fun. Judge not, lest ye be judged.

It is really only the last few levels of it that are hair pulling hard. The rest is challenging but not frustrating. I haven't beaten it yet because I'm stuck on an escort mission with TONs of those electric ball shooting snipers, but I've enjoyed it a lot so far.

About Murasame Castle
No it is not THAT difficult but you will find some mission unreasonable
such as
spoiler coming read at your own risk
Spoiler: click to toggle

there are some stupid missions that you must do else you will lose the whole stage.
i am playing on my own and I just can't do it so I had to use cheat modes to defeat Murasame, I can't waste time on a boss that I know I cannot defeat on my own

Although I wouldn't say using cheats are a way of ruining the game, maybe somebody don't like to overcome a challenge that is beyond his/her tolerance. Imaging numerous times of trying but still no luck. that is when cheats come in. It's just a way to help people put their frustration at ease. If you love challenge, go for it.

Murasame Castle is a rather frustrating mode, not really because of difficulty, but just stupid things like those flame jets that don't really hurt you but just annoy with the drawn-out "on fire" falling animation, among other things.

Dude, we're not saying your opinion is wrong. We're just saying that neither is Oreadia's. There is nothing wrong with you playing how you enjoy playing and others playing how they enjoy playing. Seriously, just let it go.
