So, does anyone know what's the deal with the battle of Sunsou? Is it real or just something Koei made up? Joetri10 also searched this one too.
My sources and my own personal searches in Japanese have led me to believe it is a Koei Original, along the lines of the Oichi and Motochika final stages and so forth. It seems like it is based on the Kanto battles that were happening that that general area at the time, but nothing exact. Perhaps those battles weren't significant enough to use alone?
Okay thanks! I thought that too because when I googled it basically nothing was found...

But regardless, I'm okay with that because it probably consists some of the smaller skirmishes in the Kanto areas.

I'll release the second batch of scans this week-end.
I did get around doing most that were asked, but didn't find the time to put them up (the first batch took almost 3 hours to load up -.-).

Be reassured that I will do ALL of them. It just will take some time for all to get up. I'm actually hoping to get all remaining ones done this weekend, but I can't guarantee it.

^ Right now there is no official announcement. We estimated April for US at first, but seeing how Koei is currently having financiell troubles it might get seriously postphoned. If it will be released overseas at all.

Wait patiently and it will show.
I'm certain if we get a date, it will be at the KW main page :)

A note on the side: I'm apparently getting a scanner soon - if I'm lucky it will arrive today.
If that's the case I'm going to give the databook a complete scan-over again and will replace the old files. In case you saved yourself a link to one of them, they will no longer work afterwards.

I will however put up a note if that is the case.

I personally don't care now when the game is released, but I just want the game, period. It'd be awful dickish of Koei to opt not releasing this game overseas just because they didn't get the numbers they wanted in Japan... especially since I can't legally port the game if it stays on the Wii.

Personally, I'm cool with them making the ports and just releasing them to the west all at once, because I'd really would prefer it for the PS3. Nothing against the Wii, but if it prevents me from buying the same game twice I'll be happy.

Its sad, but since the initial excitement of watching the gameplay videos & live stream awhile ago, I'm not really all that interested in this game anymore.

I've seen enough to get my SW fix, and I'm not motivated enough to buy it for the Wii I barely use these days. The lower frame rate bothers me a bit, even though the game looks fun to play, and ports don't interest me either since this would go HD before it would go portable.

So sad ... and I enjoyed SW2 so much -_-

So the low frame rate bothers you and yet you wouldent buy a HD port which would most likely fix the low frame rate?..

And you have a wii yet you wont buy the game because you dont use the wii often??...

What?.

Well, if you must know ...

1. Right now, I have no PS3 or 360, so NO I will not buy an HD port

2. My circumstances don't allow for much sit-in-front-of-the-TV time like I once had. I'm always on the go between working 2 jobs and raising a family.

3. Even if I wanted a PS3, see #2 above ^

4. As for the Wii, it sits there and collects dust most of the time. We don't play it unless its something the family can all play together. SW3 isn't really one of those games.

I had interest in it at one time, but as time has passed, I just kinda lost interest in it. Its no longer one of those games that I feel I must buy and find time to play it.

The low frame rate is just one of the many reasons why I lost interest in it. If/when they port it and fix it, my interest may peak again, but I still have those other things ^ to think about.

I agree with you, Mr. Honda. It just doesn't seem like a really exciting game anymore. Really, seeing the character designs was enough for me. I'll probably watch cutscenes when the English version cmes out, but I doubt I'll get it unless there's a really good sale or something. Empires games are really the only warriors games I have to purchase so if an Empires comes out I'll get it for sure. :P

I'm still interested in the game, but I think I'm okay with the wait. I mean, I have a lot of other games between now and whenever Koei decides to release this game, so it's good. Add to that three part time jobs and working on my art portfolio, the wait won't kill me.

Though, I'll admit, being exposed to all the cut scenes and 'secrets' of the game so early does kind of kill the mood just a little. If anything, though, at least it doesn't raise my expectations too high when it does make it overseas so I'm spending more time enjoying the game then bitching about it (I pretty much got most of it out of my system).

The only one that really matters to your last post is point 1..

But i understand now

As for the wii situation... Its a game, not a hobby. Even if you buy and play it for about 30 mins a day, i think it would be worth it... You dont really need a lot of time to play a warriors game :)...

i've only scene like two or three cutscenes (one was with kaihime, kunoichi, and someone else i can't remember) and like three gameplay videos, i'm not watching anymore because i don't want to kill the mood, ya know? like i'm kinda just meh about it but its still got atleast some of my interest, as in i don't know every secret about the game and haven't scene all the cutscenes so i still want to buy it, and hopfully i can enjoy it ^_^

I don't really see how this is anything more than a livejournal update. Contributes nothing to the SW3 discussion.

I for one eagerly anticipate the US release and eventual 360/PS3 port.

No problem, thought I won't touch any artbooks for scanning in a while. I pretty much used up a half day to scan them and edit them properly.

Personally I think all of the ladies (except for Okuni) have better alternatives. But it seems all off them had had the one showing most skin choosen.

I'm glad Kanbei's original version wasn't used. That one indeed seems like ghoul.

Btw. Apparently they are sorted by the name I gave them when I saved the files, so you can pretty much enjoy the databook as it is, as I put the page number first, then the name and then which one of the 4 pages it is.

This sums up my feelings now, too.

I'll probably just wait until the game goes for $10 or a sale. Like Burning Skulls, just seeing the character designs had me satisfied. I was really hoping for major changes to the series, mainly just next-gen graphics.

And thank you kindly for the scans, wildcard. I'm thoroughly enjoying the concept art. Kanetsugu, Hanzo, and Masamune all had better costumes in their art than the ones being used.

LOL at kanbei!!

X D...

Some of the designs do look the same and some look alot different like the females..

Also.. does kenshin have kanetsugu's old helm

Maybe.. just maybe, IF we get a warriors orochi 3... The alt costumes might be also used as alt costumes on the game  ..

I got mah SW3 Databook today! :3 Ish pretty schweet. Hopefully some of the costume rough drafts in the corner of pages will be used as extra costumes in Xtreme Legends/Empires.

I know wildcard already posted all of the scans, but if anyone needs some, feel free to ask meh.

Wow, Nene's concepts all look better than the bland outfit she ended up getting..
Kunoichi had some better ones as well, I like all of her looks actually. She reminds me a lot of Ayame from Tenchu in one of them.

I'd really like to see some of these looks used in another game or port. The designs are too good to waste for some of them.
Thanks for the scans Wildcard. ^_^
