Hasn't KOEI always been shite at promoting their games in the west?

Oh and, I'll be buying this game release data also
Yeah, but the release date is next Friday. That's less than a week and there's still almost no info available. I'd remember that even SW2 had English site up and running a few weeks before official NA release date >_>.

For those who already have the Japanese version, I have a question: It is very easy to get the fourth weapon, no? I believe I read that it was enough simply to finish a battle with the proper character to win the weapon at the end. Is this true?

Yeah Koei is shooting themselves in the foot with not doing anything to promote this game, that's why I have a feeling it's going to fail in EU and NA as well, mainly because not only is their like now info or promotion videos/demos/commercials on TV/anything like that to get people to want to be exciting about buying this. You have to spend money to make money and clearly Koei thinks otherwise. A lot of the friends I know from the US are to the point that their practically experiencing consumer burnout and no longer are really interested in getting it. By the time it comes out in the US I think the game will feel dated myself, but only time will tell. I always supported Koei in the past despite them doing the same mistakes with each game, so I haven't given up on SW3, I still think it has potential to be a good game.

Ive never seen a koei game have an advert where i live :/... as for advitisement... i think people have the picture about how these games are... It has to be word of mouth and lending the game out to freinds to get it to spread about and get more fans : D

It's not as simple as that. There are certain side missions that are in every stage (4 per, if i remember right) that you have to complete before finishing the stage. These range from things like defeating certain enemy generals, sealing entry points, rescuing allies, and achieving a certain base amount of combo hits before defeating someone.

So according to the above poster, SW3's EU release has both English/Japanese dub, and Kaihime is translated to "Kai" as I thought it would be.

No offense, but you think you can direct to a source?

In English:

Busard:
"The game is translated in French, and you can choose between English and Japanese dubbing!"

Sodia
"Really?! Where did you get that information?"

HebiYaro
"Ah, hi Busard. Thanks for the info"

Busard
"I've bought the game in the afternoon and I am playing it now(I just started story mode with Kenshin"

Sodia:
"Alright. Well have fun playing!/good game to you!

Busard? Huh. Actually, he's over on GameFAQs as well, and posted something to that effect about 2 1/2 hours ago.

<_< He didn't mention he was French. Not that it matters to me - Australia needs to wait until next week.

Very much agreed ;) I dont understand why koei does not advertise that much in europe. I think i actually do remember seeing the trailor for the game once about 3 months ago on television though so that was something ^_^ On to lighter stuff though..........4 MORE SLEEPS!!!! AHH! so close :D i still wonder however why europe is getting it way before usa, its usually the other way round  but Hanbei all the way baby!!!

Okay... I'm cool with EU getting their game before NA. That's okay.

But I will be spitting MAD if they get Japanese voice option and we get stuck with English only.

Busard posted this on GameFAQs:

"Yes, I'm French and I speak english very well :p

Anyway, there is a CAW story mode; haven't tried it yet but it's in the maim menu."

Which I guess means they did include the DLC unlocked with the game.

Busard:

I'm always hesitant to believe stuff of a random person claiming to have the game. Especially before the official release...

But if THAT is true... I think I can forgive the FMO characters. It would be a wish come true <3
Hanbei, Kanbei, Nobi ... all in their original voices *_* I'd love that.

Still I agree. The lack of info is seriously disturbing. I mean... it's only three days until release and what have we gotten so far in a language most of us can understand?
Zero.
The bits and pieces of information on nintendos pages really are pitiful. They don't even hav the full cast displayed yet.

And I think with Nintendo currently having the rights, I think Koei can't really do much of advertising. I mean, even the info pages is on Nintendo now.
I'm sure if the page were Koei-business it would be way better updated.

Oh well. Three more days then I'll let you know how it is. And if stuff like choosable dubs and caw story mode is true.

I trust Busard, I know him a little :)

It is still possible to have a game before it's released, when you live in Paris.

You can easily find a game one week before, sometimes (even if it's unauthorized by law...).

Just seeing your complete random off topic question now, i will answer it as i know what that problem is..

Ssbb is a double layer cd (as its a huge game) wii's made when they first came out have the trouble of reading the discs like Ssbb.. Wii's made after the game release (or some time close to that) have been modded and can now play the discs.. That or the other story that alot of the wii's lenses were dirty and needed to be cleaned... -_- But that sounds like a cheap way out for nintendo.. However as for what you can do, i hear you can send the wii off to get it fixed or buy a lens cleaning disc which does work -_- .. But thats pretty much it... There's no other way around it.. Sorry :/

Unfortunately, what contributes to the size of the SW3 disc is that the many FMV's take up a whole lot of space. So SW3 will be dual-layered.

^ *coughs* How do YOU prove it?
Do not missunderstand. I understand you saying that this person says it is in and if he's a reliable source it's most likely true. But how can you proof it if you don't have the game? Just a thought on the side.

The truth is, I just don't want to get too hyped up about such a thing and then be incredible disappointed when it turns out as a late april's fool. I'd really hate that.
That's why I'm hesitant to believe a source I'm hearing from for the first time and he is the only one saying such a thing.
I'll keep the info in the back of my mind thought.

I'm really surprised Nintendo didn't put that in the official description. Being able to choose the synchro is one of my favourite points <3
