With regards to those latest vids: ~ Ujiyasu and Kai still sound pretty good to my ears. Ujiyasu sounds more grizzled than in the other clips, but it's a good fit. ~ Kotaro sounds just how I figured he would. His voice still carries a malevolent undertone, even if he's no longer Captain Chaos, so it's a win in my book. ~ Having listened to more of Ina's voice, I'm starting to move further towards a strong dislike for it. I'm still holding out hope that there are better lines for her, but her delivery has done nothing for me so far. ~ Okuni's voice sounds strained at parts, but it wasn't terrible. Her voice seems to really deepen during her attack grunts, but maybe it's just me. All in all, to me, her voice is good, but not great. And once again, a big thanks to Joetri10 for uploading those. Thanks for all the uploads Joe, much appreciated. One thing that's bugging me though, is the absence of BGM. Did you manually choose to remove it or is it normally like that? Is that echoed in the Japanese version as well? As for the voices, contrary to many others, I actually prefer Okuni's SW1 voice to what she has now. Her SW2 voice also. The same goes for Hideyoshi, his SW1 and SW2 voices are far superior to his SW3 voice. I like Ujiyasa's and Kai's voices for the new people but I'm not really sold on Kanbei. It's not how I'd imagined it, it sounds too ordinary and not befitting his appearance. |

In the video description the music is simply turned off. You could do this in every Warriors game AFAIK. |

If I might make a rquest to Joetri, I think some fmv clips would be very much appreciated by the whole community. Yukimura's clips would be a sweet start, at least for his epic scenes with Ina. =) |

whats this obsession with the japanese voices... i dunno, i might use them occasionally to switch things up when im feeling curious, but there better be subtitles... ...the US version WILL have english/japanese VA options, right? if not, thats BS... also, i recall someone saying sengoku basara 3 is coming to the US in fall? is that true? ...THEN WHY THE HELL IS KOEI RELEASING THIS GAME HERE IN THE FALL?! they should release it before SB3 and get the money while they can... idiots! |

I listened to the japanese ones and to the english ones for a bit and the japanese ones just sound nicer to my ear. Mind you, I'm german and thought I do understand what they are saying in english, I purposefully did only listen to the sound and emotions and to me the japanese ones are more fitting to the characters. Both do a good job at emotions I think. There are of course subtitles, that depend on the language setting of the Wii. I had german at first, but thought there might be some mistakes in it (which I later found out to actually be, but they are in english as well), then switched to english, because even the weapons have different names in german and when I talk to my friends abroad, they too use english so... Yeah. I don't see why Nintendo/KT would take the option away again O.o Wouldn't that only be additional work? About SB: So it is announced and I partly agree. There is an SB thread on the forum thought, where most news about the game is gathered, similar to this one, you might want to check it out. About VAs: O.o How can one find them out? I purposefully let the credits run through to film the english VAs but only the japanese ones were listed... Also, I might be wrong, but I think in my credits there were "American localisation" listed instead of EU or something like that... I was quite surprised O.o Edited by wildcard, Mon May 31, 2010 9:44 am.

If you listen to a lot to those voices you just kinda start to recognise them whenever you hear them. Personally, I'm not really that familiar with the english voice actors, the only one I can really pick out is Yuri Lowenthal (is there any game where this guy isn't voicing a character?). I watch a lot of anime though, so some of the japanese voices are really familiar to me. Kamiya Hiroshi as Nagamasa or Sugita Tomokazu as Kiyomasa are two that are particularly easy to pick out for example. |

Quick question to anyone with the game now: Are all the PAL versions of it 50 Hz like the French version (judging by the picture a few pages back of the back cover)? |

Oh I see! I was doing the main missions! Thanks a lot :] I actually don't think the English voice acting is that bad this time around, a few characters sound a bit strange though. Nagamasa sounds as if his voice hasn't broken yet, and Nene has a very heavy American accent which does't suit her very well. I haven't tried the Japanese voices yet though, I think I'll stick with English for a while and maybe change if I get sick of them. :] |

The game is just awesome! If they ever release Samurai Warriors 3 (maybe an expanded version of the game) on the PS3/360, it would even be better! But, nonetheless, Samurai Warriors 3 is, for me, the only reason to have a Wii

Ah this all sounds so cool! I managed to play the game at the London expo, but they were selling nothing, so I couldn't get it. I had noticed Nobunaga's and Yukimura's returning voices and that it'd be best for me to use a Gamecube controller or something - as it's a bit too awkward using charge attacks with the standard Wii method. Now I'm off on holiday for 2 weeks, so I won't be able to play until I get back. But have fun all!

I removed the BGM myself on options for the vids so you can hear the voices better.. As recording with a laptop mic causes problems when theres to much going on.. (which is why most the times when people are talking, i dont do anything ) Just trying to do the best i can to get them clear enough.. .. (However, What i have noticed is when taking some time to get from one point to another with no fighting going on, the music can get softer, untill you get back to fighting )
I will try, you have done so much for this forum when it came to this game that i think i should return the favour

Joe, you are a life saver. Kaihime still sounds familiar, like Inahime at times... and Ujiyasu I lurve, though I'd still be happier if it was David Hayter (SNAAAAAAAAKE). Fuma's the same, in which I like, and Kanbei... yawwwwwwwn. Although I loved that scene; how the Hojo were giving us little exposition about Masamune. Really portraying Masamune's darker past and signs of mental issues (FINALLY, it only took three games to openly acknowledge that). Very nice... can't wait to play the games, though, o get the full stories on some peeps (also, WTF is Toshiie doing, patting Masamune's shoulder like that? Guess I got to play the game to understand. >_< ) |

Don't forget that both Toshiie and Masamune worked for Toyotomi at some point. That reminded me, does Toshiie appear in any of Toyotomi battles? Do we see him at Odawara or Komaki-Nagakute, for example? |

Well, if that's the basis for why Toshiie is touching Masamune('s tralala), then why not the entire Toyotomi army? Come, gather around the new kid and give him a big ol' hug! I have no idea what fueled this happy thought. |

Possible that they both have something against Keiji? I'd remember that Keiji has bullied them both. In SW1 Keiji made fun of Masamune's appearance (Odawara Castle) and in SW3 Keiji tosses Toshiie into pool of water in one of the CGI clips. No wonder Toshiie and masamune get along so well . |

No Toshiie in those those two battles. So far I only saw him in Oda-battles! But I haven't finished the game, yet, so he may appear in Toyotomi battles

I'm not sure about Odawara, but he does appear at Komaki-Nagakute, at least when playing as Kiyomasa (I suppose it's the same for other characters). Defeating him is actually a mission iirc. EDIT: Nevermind, I just mixed up Komaki-Nagakute and Shizugatake. It's still a Toyotomi battle, even though he's on the enemy's side

Umm, which characters do appear at Odawara? Since there are lots of new characters which could be there, I'm wondering which they have chosen (since usually the maximum amount of playable characters on one side is around 10). |

Well, actually the battle of Odawara isn't the one from SW2 (or I haven't encountered the SW3 version yet). This battle of Odawara (it's actually called Kanto Campaign, but there is Odawara Castle on this map) is Kenshin's siege in the Kanto three Kingdoms storyline. Anyway here are the characters that appear: Spoiler: click to toggle The battle you're looking for is probably Oshi Castle. Here are the characters appearing in this battle as far as I can remember: Spoiler: click to toggle Please correct me if I'm wrong
