After you have completed all Musou modes, how do you then get tons of rice? COs I just did Muneshige's musou mode - all of it and no tons of rice :/

Im not really sure what exactly happends in the stage... Its rather big and messy... I think rebels are there to attack Mitsunari Yukimura is there to help Kanetsugu and Mitsunari. Kanetsugu is there to help Mitsunari. Ieyasu is there to help Mitsunari for some reason. Kiyomasa is there to kill Ieyasu Masanori is there to kill Mitsunari for some reason Masamune goes there to re-pay the favour to Kanetsugu when Kanetsugu tells Hideyoshi it was not Masamune fighting in one of the battles they were previously in (That battle and cutscene is actually in Masamune's story). As Magoichi follows masamune about, he also has it... And Kunoichi is a ninja... shes there to protect Yukimura -_- I think Keiji is there aswell... Thats stage i think is in the most stories  ... And yet its not playable in free mode  .. Im sure theres a reason into why he is hiding... But for the life of me i never knew why... I really cant remember  (Important note - It is the only battle that Okuni appears in for w/e reason) (Not counting muramasa) )
Ooh, sounds exciting :)
Thank you for the low-down ;)
It's based on an incident where Toyotomi loyalists lead by Kiyomasa and Masanori were angry at Mitsunari and tried to take his head. Ieyasu sheltered Mitsunari in his home (keep in mind even at that time they were still enemies-- its commonly thought Ieyasu did this so peoples' anger would still be focused on Mitsunari).

The part with the Power Rangers (Yukimura, Masamune, Keiji, Magoichi, and Kanetsugu) helping out is fictional, of course.

Done all story modes.

Only two levels of Murasame Normal Mode left now

Curioser and Curioser-Doing some of those combo's is really difficult
Murasame Castle-Want the Murasame Blade before taking on Murasame

Any one got any tips to complete Curioser and Curioser?

Nice playing & helping everyone here! Have fun gaming ^^

By the way, sorry for asking a stupid question here maybe, but as I don't have the game, just curiosity, I wonder how are called Oichi's and Kai's weapons ? I mean what are their 'official' name in the game, please ? Thanks in advance.

Not huge news by any stretch of the imagination. I went to Gamestop today and you can preorder Samurai Warriors 3. The projected retail price is $49.99, the box art features Yukimura and Kai (you've all seen it already).

Three weeks and we're set.

Hopefully I will have finished Eternal Sonata (PS3 version) by then... if not, then looks like that game will be sidelined. Again.

I already have my copy pre-ordered and half paid off...

Can't wait for it...probably because my Xbox is acting up and my laptop crashed...so SW3 is my only savior from boredom >.<

I've been away from KOEI news for a long time now, so I have to ask. Is this game even out in the US? Will it even come out here? Is it still a Wii-only title?

Comes out on the 28th, so in about a week. And yes, still Wii only.

Yeah, man, a week away, awesome that it'll finally come out. Time sure flies.

I wonder if the same level of hype shown in the DW threads will be emulated here too.

Nah, since half the forum already has the game. As the Euro release was like decades ago :hehe:
Besides, hype is revolved around an announcement of a game, not as much as the actual release.

^That's very true. A Dynasty Warriors game announcement or big leak generates the most hype. And by the time of the game's release people would've imported, lost interest, have general wanted knowledge or something else. When one would think having the actual title to be the best part.

We'll post it on the site news when the time comes. But don't worry I'll be here to see if I can add to, I should get back to giving mine another few rounds.

How was ES? Was my performance good enough?

So psyched for SW3! I heard the story modes go more indepth. I swear I saw a gameplay video where you fight on a rooftop, is it just me? I think it was Kunoichi and the stage was at night.

Finished it- the last few bosses were nowhere near as hard as the strategy guide I was following said it'd be. Not going to spoil anything, but if you have Viola, Jazz and a good Echo-building character (ie Falsetto, Allegretto, Beat or March/Salsa) then the last few levels are almost painfully easy. For me, it was Falsetto. Overall, I liked it, but I don't think I understood that ending very much. x_x

On topic now, I can't wait for SW3, now that ES is out of the way. Going on vacation from Oct. 8-16th, and seeing as my doctor advises me to relax, or else, I'm going to be bringing my Wii and playing around at the hotel.

This might sound like a dumb question but is there anyway that SW3 is coming to the 360 in America?

I want to get this game really bad but not for the Wii and for those who have it does it play good on this system?

@Mei Ling: Why yes I know for one you can fight on a rooftop at Honnoji as Oda Nobunaga. In cases with him and other characters like your favorite it's where you start if that interests you.

@Liu Shay: Sorry there's been no news of SW3 hitting any other console.

Honestly I would say this is the best SW game. And I know the argument about ''it being on the Wii'' will always arise, but when looking at it, it's still probably the greatest Samurai Warriors videogame.

I could argue that its not without using the wii.

The stories on Sw3 are basically all the same in terms of how good they are, they do beat some of sw2's stories, but there’s none that come close to the actual amazing ones on Sw2..

Although you have spirit gauge, the 3 section musou bar was hurt as the musou attack stopped only when one was empty... that was enough to annoy me and to top it off we don’t actually get a true musou anymore. On sw2 once your had all 3 bars filled up, the musou attack would have something extra going on with it.. Eg Sakon would have bullets firing behind him... You know what i mean >.<..

May i also remind people of the skill system in Sw2... I LOVED that and i felt it was one of the best things they did... so of course they took it out... That was also a big blow to sw3 i feel..

Sw3's muramasa castle is one of the most unfun things i have done on the game and i actually forced my way through it just so i could the armour and horse... That took away our survival castle mode thing on which i really enjoyed... I can remember years ago having the radio on, with a bottle a coke and i just sat there playing that mode with Musashi for the whole night without getting bored... I miss that...

they also messed up the weapon system as well.. AGAIN.

And they also messed up the special stance and moves for no apparent reason.

And also now we come to Musashi. I don’t care about the other cut characters as much but they got rid of one of the most popular characters in the game and also the best (similar situation with Zuo Ci) I don’t understand why koei does this!.. But they have. :/ ..

Now i just don’t want to be one sided here..

i do like Sw3's new game machanics, for one you can strife with i can is good (small but good) ..

Sw3's finishing attack ( for the life of me i can’t remember the name) is still pretty good as well.

I also like the lower frame rate as i think it just makes everything seem more normal, but maybe i just feel sw2 is just way to fast now because I’m used to sw3  ...

And the fact that they didnt mess about with the movesets and the characters looks to much, its good that they still have there movesets and there new C5 attacks.

And having armour is ok, it reminds me alot of the items from dw5- and sw1... Which is why i would still rather have the skill system like in sw2

But thats about it for actual new stuff.

the new characters are cool but i only really like ujiyasu and muneshige :/

When you really look at the actual facts, sw3 fails.. (But its still good nonetheless

On a totally unrelated point

LOL nice find.

So what happens with Kaihime's scene where Ujiyasu comments about her ''needing to grow up'' and her then covering her breasts? I guess they've missed on that one.

Man, that's stupid, I certainly never expected that. It covers more, but it still does not get rid of the fact.

I hated the skill system, actually. It pretty much boiled down to "Get this because that other skill isn't worth it". Farm this guy on one level to level a skill up. Do that for every other character, too. At that point you may as well not have special skills.

One of the plusses I found with DW6's weapon skill systems is you had a little more to think about when considering the weapon you wanted to use other than straight up attack power, because sometimes you have a weapon with a better combination of mods on it or one that gives you an informed boost you don't necessarily need, but can help. I expect SW3 to turn out similar results.

I have a question ^_^
If I beat one story mode, would I have enough rice to buy at least one character or not even close to one? O.o

You get 100 rice for completing a story mode, thats already enough for one character. Also it can depend on what certain missions are in the story (rice rewards) and how well you do (i think) which can also give you just about enough.

I find that i get about 80 rice throughtout a story.. (not including the 100 rice you get)
