Maybe some hints exist in Jap. ver? Wouldn't kow since I don't understand the language. Nevertheless, I think he's overall well done characters appearance and story wise. I would have been disappointed to see him as a typical Toyotomi characters who believes in a world where everybody can live in peace and harmony. Kanbei did have his own schemes and ambitions for the land, after all.

I also have SB3. Yeah, the way how that game potrays Muneshige and Sorin's relationship is just plain ridiculous. Muneshige's still pretty cool character in SB3, though. I don't understand Japanese but SW3's Muneshige seems quite boring compared to his SB3 counter-part. Even his ending didn't impress me.

I think Muneshige looks almost like a generic officer. Give him a sword or spear moveset and I could have mistaken him for one. I hope they make him look more unique and give a more detailed outfit in the next game.

An unique helmet or more decorated armour would help a lot. Don't know, but to me Muneshige seems to fall behind Ginchiyo which is a little surprising considering that he became the head of the Tachibana clan after being adopted by Dosetsu. Then again, playing Jap. ver., so I don't know what characters are saying during the battles. I might miss out a lot of Muneshige's personality because of that.

In SW3 english he is not a very interesting character. Personally I think that they should give him a really big blade, like a Guan Ping sword which is covered in lightning, being adopted son of Dosetsu famous for his lighting blade. Also I agree Ginchiyo has more story when she should have less.

Hey for those who have played Z, you mind telling me where each of these songs played there? It would be very helpful.

Another track which plays during Original Career Mode stages

This is the only track I didn't recognize:

However, since all others were from Original Career Mode, I bet that track's no exception.

That last track is rather sketchy for me, especially if it really is in Original Career mode; because I saw a Z gameplay vid of Aya, that last track plays in her last story mode stage (Which, IIRC, is the only entirely new stage that wasn't in the original SW3).

But thanks for the info, it would be helpful for labeling the song for the OST.

Haven't played Aya's story so no wonder I haven't heard that track. Her last stage is Otate no Ran (the fight between Uesugi Kagekatsu and Kagetora).

Interesting, so am I to assume that this is the specific Otate no Ran stage BGM and doesn't play anywhere else?

If that's the case then, I oughta add it to my playlist. Call me crazy, but on my phone I've got some BGM's comprised of SW tracks that only play in specific stages. They are in order:

SW3 Okehazama
SW3 Kawanakajima
SW1 Inaba Castle
SW3 Anegawa
SW1 Ise-Nagashima
SW3 Mikatagahara
SW3 Theme of Tadakatsu (exception)
SW3 Nagashino
SW1 Azuchi Castle
SW2 Kizugawa (Technically it's the Pirate Attack state BGM but it's unique there and happens on the Osaka Bay stage specifically so it's unique to me)
SW2 Tedorigawa
SW2 In the Capital (It was unique in SW1)
SW3 Honnoji
SW3 Yamazki
SW3 Shizugatake
SW3 Komaki-Nagakute
SW2XL Shikoku
SW3 Ueda Castle
SW3 Kyushu
SW3 Oshi Castle
SW3 Odawara Castle
SW3 Sekigahara
SW2 Edo Campaign
SW3 Osaka Campaign

Pretty sure that it is Otate no Ran's theme song since Aya is the only character who has that stage out of 10 new Story mode characters.

Heh, didn't realise that SW3 has so many stage specific tracks. I haven't listened carefully enough or just haven't been impressed by many of them. So far, oshi Castle and Yamazaki are the only ones I'm able to remember at the moment and also the original SW1 and SW2 tracks which have been remixed.

What do you mean exactly? Stages for 10 new Story characters or entirely new stages? If it's the latyter you're asking, the only new stage is Otate no Ran.

Now that I actually have this game I must say it's a little better than I expected but still bad. The first thing I noticed was how choppy the attacking animations are. Next, the graphics are like SW2 but with better textures. The Rice system to unlock everything is rather annoying because you needs TONS and TONS of rice to unlock everything.

However it did have some good things, the mission system is very well done. Although the Tactical Bonuses are a little ridiculous sometimes. But they can help the battle immensely. The weapon system was a little meh because I hate the whole Normal, Speed, Power thing. The armor system was very well done though. And for the gems system, I wish the game wouldn't use the big red ones so much and that you could take like 4 small gems and make them big ones. Murasame's Castle is great too however I found it very difficult even with a level 50 character.

Voice acting is good here and there although I do miss some of the Samurai Warriors 2 voices. :/

And luckily I've found a good use for it. Since my treadmill is in my gameroom (where my Wii is located), I go on my treadmill while playing! :D After like 4 stages I've already been on for 1 hour and burned 400+ calories! X3 (I've already lost 5 pounds because of SW3)

EDIT: However, for Samurai Warriors 4 they need to have Dynasty Warriors 7 graphics and revamped gameplay. It's rather boring now. :/

Considering you unlock 1.5 characters every time you clear a story mode, it's more of an illusion than anything.

Don't even talk about the rice. I'm planning to unlock everyones abilities and that requires 12 000 tons of rice . I have almost 4000 now but that's nowhere enough.

I'm also glad to notice that the mission system was improved from SW2. Instead of everyone having the same generic missions in the same stages, there are more character-specific missions this time. Escape from Iga, for example, to me felt a different depending from the character I was playing. With Ieyasu your goal is to escape, as Tadakatsu you need to protect your commander and as Hanzo you need to get reinforcements.

The key to unlocking the historical timeline is getting high scores. You may notice that ________ has killed _________ enemies, right? You need to get the best of that.

So will replaying the game with like 800 kills or something will unlock more on the mode or is it just beating it in general. And do you have to do it first time around or will replaying it work?

Yes, replaying it will work.

Well, the idea is the better you do in the stage, the higher the points you get. Complete objectives, more kills, etc. Or, if you have a weapon with the Ambition ability, since it adds more exp and points.

Just did the final two (non-Takamaru) stages on Nightmare in Murasame Castle today with Nene (for the first) and Kunoichi (for the second)

I used Nene to get the 150 kills in 5 minutes coz of her crowd clearing (and only having her, Kunoichi, Noh and Oichi at Max Stats (maxed out completely) and Kai and Okuni almost there)

Then I used Kunoichi for Murasame Castle - honestly could not have been done with any other character

I used her invisibility (R) to not get attacked, and had boots with 3 in Musou and Spirit Wind and in Victory Rush. Tactic to defeat Murasame, have 3 full musou bars and a full spirit gauge. Go invincible run round him to the back, use your first musou to take out the gems (this also wastes the ultimate musou) - then use the other two musous to take him down a 1/3 of his health. Run away while continuously going invisible (the boots give you musou and spirit) and when you have full musou and spirit, re-start the steps until he is defeated! worked (easily) for me
