Unlikely, I think Koei is done with SW3 and it's spinoffs/ports. However, this might mean SW4 might be announced soon (it's been quite a while since SW3 was released).

I was wondering whether it would be a good idea to pick up this title, or wait for Samurai Warriors 4. I'm trying to get back into the series.

I'd recommend waiting for SW4. If you've played SW2, SW3 is almost identical gameplay-wise. Sure, there are new characters and battles, but that's pretty much it. Though, if you really like the series and gameplay, this does offer a massive amount of content.

I've played the first one, and Katana, though I understand Katana is much different from the rest of the series. Thanks for the advice!

I just got Samurai Warriors 3, I love it! I think its definitely better then the second, and ties with the first. The new characters are so much fun, I hope the announce SW4 soon.

In SW3? No. SW3Z has japanese voices from the beginning (since there's no english version) Doesn't matter. Looks like I've mistaken.

Thanks to a friend of the family, I now own a Wii. i accepted it solely so I could play SW3 again, and maybe try to get back into the series. I put it in, and...wow. It doesn't hold up well at all. I played the first two stages in Yukimura's story and I had to turn it off. I enjoyed it when I first bought it, but that was a while ago.

I'm gonna have to blame it on it being a Wii title, since SW2 on the PS2 holds up fine.

GameFAQs had a few really, really good translation guides for it. What exactly did you need? Or were you just looking for a general guide?

Sorry for not replying sooner, I didn't see this thread with a new post alert. =S

In SW3Z you have to play on hell difficulty and finish all 4 objectives on that character's final stage. (For example Noh would get hers at Honnoji)
For their nightmare weapon you have to play on nightmare difficulty and do all 4 objectives on their semi final stage.

Also, you can't use intermid saves like some older games to keep trying if you fail a requirement or die after getting the weapon so everything will need to be done in one attempt.

Hope that helps!

Yes there is. You can find it in the options where you can change the volume of the bgm and voices and stuff.

I deleted my save file on my Wii of SW3 and now I've got to start it again. (I have to put Nobunaga in pink again).

Since I have loaned out my Wii to someone, I recently had to start all over again with Samurai Warriors 3, this time on Wii U. And while I do get why some people might find it hard to play this version of the game nowadays, I really don't have any problems with it. The game is rich with content, all characters feel really diverse and there is so much to unlock, even after you've completed the Story Modes of each character!

Graphically, it has of course been outclassed by newer Musou-games and the framerate is 30fps instead of 60fps, but despite these things, I am having a blast with it. And at least this version has English voices, unlike Samurai Warriors 4. :P

Anyone else still playing this?
