I've started re-playing this game. I don't know why but the gameplay is slower and it takes a while to get into. It's a huge step down from SW2. Isn't the Wii on par with the PS2, spec-wise? Why was SW2 as smooth as a baby's behind but SW3 was a mess? I literally played one after the other and it's night and day, man. I really feel like you have to be a dedicated fan of the series to have enough patience to play it. Fortunately that's exactly what I am and despite its problems I'm enjoying it. I also had to restart my old save which sucks. But at least it gives me a goal to focus on, to beat all the stories again. Edited by SnowMan, Sat Nov 8, 2014 12:17 am.

Technically, no. They did make Sengoku Musou 3 Z which was a PS3 version of SW3 with added characters and content... but that game was never released overseas. |

They already did (as already stated in Japan only). There's no way they release this in English at this point. |

I own SM3Z and I put at least 100 hours in it? Not exactly sure but I did get 100 % on Trophies so I definitely played it a lot. As SnowMan said, the unbelievably slow gameplay is what really "kills" the game. I remember cursing a lot when I started playing it as I died many times simply because the characters reacted slowly to my button presses and I was constantly interupted by enemy attacks. I got used to gameplay eventually but it still felt pretty bad... I haven't gone back to SM3Z since I stopped playing it at least a year ago and not sure when I'm in the mood to give it a another try. After putting many hours on fast paced SW4, I don't even want to imagine how SM3Z feels

Z is actually still really fun and holds up nicely, IMO. I sort of miss the slower more tactical gameplay of Z over the faster paced gameplay of 4. (and I like 4's gameplay mind you) I need to break out Z and play again, actually. I always feel badly for people who never got to play it, since it was the second best warriors game to date, IMO! (In some ways superior to SW4 even) It's a shame the west only got that nightmareishly horrible wii version. |

I think the problem with SW3Z was that despite being on PS3 and having 60 fps, it still used Wii version's 30 fps which is what made the combat really slow. SW3Z's gameplay was just too slow for my tastes. Then again, I know that the first Ken's Rage's slow gameplay also divided fans and when it was made faster in the sequel, it again seemed to divide players. However, I agree that SW3Z's slowness did have it advantages: you could see all attacks being executed and it was much easier to follow conversations and see what was going on in the stages. While I prefer SW4's faster paced combat sometimes it does feel kind of too fast especially when executing Hyper attacks for certain characters such as Masamune. But gameplay aside, the stages and their progression was actually a great step up from SW2. Missions didn't feel as generic as in SW2 and stages did feel somewhat unique depending on the character you were playing as. Maybe I should give it another try as well. Think I've done everything else except maxed out everyone .

That never had anything to do with FPS, the game was deliberatley made that slow. |
