All right, since Hanbei got Inabayama and Ujiyasu his famous battle of Kawagoe, I'm hoping that KOEI got it right with other characters too.. *coughTadakatsulackingkomakinagakuteinsw2waslamecough*

If Masanori and Aya indeed turn out to be the only UNPCs in the game, it pretty much guarantees that both of them will be playable in XL/Special/Empires. They'd better not make any changes to Masanori's face, though. It's so awesome. That face basically says "Are you talking to me?! ARE YOU TALKING TO ME!?"

:P .

//Seraphil, what about Mimasetoge? In or out?

Also, Hojo Ujiyasu's first stage is NIGHT BATTLE OF KAWAGOE, BOOYAH
Excellent news. I was hoping for Kawagoe to get some love.

Though, I'm still hoping for Ujiyasu to turn around and knock Shingen on his arse sometime in his storyline. That would be a splendid final battle.

So people are getting an extension in life? Sweet, though I liked the historical part of SW2. Eventhough a Kenshin vs Shingen battle in Sekigahara with Tokugawa helping Takeda was highly unthinkable.

Here's Ujiyasu's musou mode

Kawagoe -> Battle of Sousun* -> Kanto Invasion -> Mimasetoge -> Final Defense Line of Kanto

*Sousun is from "Kaisousunsangokudoumei" meaning the tripartite alliance between Takeda, Imagawa and Hojo. Sousun is the Imagawa and Hojo part of the alliance, so this is the battle where Shingen cuts off the Imagawa and attacks them, and Ujiyasu sends a relief force to help the Imagawa.

Ujiyasu has a good amount of dialogue with his sons and Hojo Tsunanari(Tsunashige.) Nagano Narimasa and Kamiizumi Nobutsuna are both present as generics.

So Mimasetoge is in? Good to hear; that was one of the battles I was most anxious to see. Can't wait to see Shingen get pummeled; Masakage won't be enough to save him with Ujiyasu at the helm of the Hojo.

Interesting. I'm glad to see all of these new stages, this is shaping up to be a well-thought up release (I thought it was gonna be SW 2.5 :P)

I'm also glad to see that Mimasetoge is in. I've wanted to see that battle since SW1. Too bad, though, that Masakage and Nobufusa still aren't playable or UNPCs. That battle would definitely be their shining moment.

So are Kaihime and Kotaro tagging along with Ujiyasu in any of his battles? I really want to know what kind of person Kotaro is this time >_>.

Motonari's musou mode

Chugoku Defense Line -> Kizugawaguchi -> Kozuki Castle -> Tachibana Rescue -> Yamazaki

Edit: Motonari's crossbow moveset is similar to SSX's in DW6 as it is 90% shooting. His specials includes shooting a debuffing arrow to weaken an enemy, and changing the type of arrows he fires(normal, explosive, etc.)

Spoiler: click to toggle

Life extensions are great to have, even at the expense of some historical accuracy. I suppose it's meant to debunk anyone who gets all huffy about Motonari being in the game despite dying at a certain time. This is a good thing.

Motonari at Yamazaki? I'm... intrigued.

Motonari plays like DW6 SSX? Ohhhh... not sure how to take that. If anything it means he has pretty good range, so that's a plus. I'll have to wait and see his moveset in action before passing any further judgment. *did not particularly like DW6 SSX*

Also I just noticed in one of the previous trailers you see Muneshige and Yoshihiro fighting and then just as the scene ended you slightly see Ginchiyo's head pop up as if she was also fighting...
I am glad to know that Ginchiyo hasn't become a "boring" wife and still gets some action (god that sounds wrong xD)

Huh. This sounds interesting. I assume Muneshige, Ginchiyo, and Motonari team up? Also, do tell, where are Okuni and Noh?

I don't think Ginchiyo was ever in fear of becoming a 'boring' wife. She's just too independent, even with Muneshige there. Koei would be mad to downplay her, especially now that she has a hubby to contend with.

Edit: Woohoo, 2000th post. I talk a lot.

Bah, a little disappointed that otonari doesn't have Takamatsu and Tottori Castles... or are those they featured in his first stage by any chance? Also, what's the story behind Kozuki Castle?

Also, completing the game with one character unlocks Chaos difficulty.

I assume Nouhime shows up with the Oda, correct Seraphill? In the stages you mentioned I mean.

Koei is really going all out with those two all-purpose stages. Check this.

Deep Forest = Kanegasaki, Chugoku, Iga Crossing
Mountain Castle = Kozuki, Kawagoe

Also,

Tedorigawa = Kuisegawa, Sousun
Oshi Castle = Otsu Castle
Odawara = Kanto Invasion(Kenshin's siege on Odawara)

Mitsunari's Musou Mode = Shizugatake -> Komaki-Nagakute -> Oshi Castle -> Kuisegawa -> Sekigahara

Sekigahara is completely shrouded in fog, except at certain points where giant torches increase visible range around them. Motochika is present on the western side, Kanbei and Kiyomasa are present on the eastern side.

Muneshige Musou = Kyushu -> Odawara -> Otsu -> Sekigahara -> Showdown at Mikatagahara

Otsu is the castle Muneshige and Kobayakawa Hidekane sieged at the beginning of the Sekigahara conflict. Mikatagahara is Vs. Tokugawa.

:o Wow, stages like Iga crossing and others are back. This is shaping up to be a pretty good game.

As for story modes, Motonari Mori sounds awesome along with Uijyasu Hojo as well. His storyline looks like it's going to involve things like the Imagawa-Hojo-Takeda alliance and his sons and etc. Mitsunari lshida sound like his story line is going to be good as well with Motochika, Kiyomasa, and Kenbei at Sekigahara.

Can't wait until Thursday when l get it. :ph43r:
