have watched hanbei's vid., did they remove the cut scenes when an officer appears like those in previous SW series??
Yes I would like to know this as well. That would be a shame if they removed the character introduction scenes if true.

Anyway, so this game is looking fictional with all these what if scenarios.

I actually wish they would remove them or at least limit them to certain stages. Pretty annoying when you're beating up soldiers and then all of a sudden introduction scene happens >_>.

I don't know what to think about Motonari's moveset. It didn't look effective but not ineffective either. Good crowd clearer perhaps but I wonder how deadly he's against officers. But for Motonari's defense, he was only at level 1, so he didn't have full moveset or a strong weapon. Overall, I would say Kiyomasa is my favorite so far. Slow yet deadly and his Musou is similiar to Yukimura and Tadakatsu's. Anybody know what his Specials are?

Kaihime Musou
Battle of Tonegawa -> Tenshojingo no Ran -> Attack on Oshi Castle -> Kasai-Osaki Riot -> Siege of Osaka

Tenshojingo is when the Tokugawa and Hojo came to blows fighting over the Takeda's corpse in 1582.

Kasai-Osaki Riot is part of Hideyoshi's pacification of Oshu after Odawara. Masamune played a big part in this.

Intro/Defeat/Death cutscenes are gone, like DW5/DW6.

Hmm... too bad the character cutscenes are gone, but it's for the best. You won't be interrupted by them if you are in the heat of battle.

I'm surprised Kai's story takes a huge leap; Tonegawa was in 1571, her 2nd stage is almost a decade later. I wonder what her story will be anyway?

We won't see Musashi in SW3, and it's clear that 37 characters will be playable.

Seems like there would be at least one more UNPC.

I am from Germany. I can not speak english well.

I think, these two videos (on Koeiwarriors.co.uk) are pretty nice:

Samurai Warriors 3 - "Kato Kiyomasa" Gameplay Video :

Samurai Warriors 3 - "Takenaka Hanbei" Gameplay Video :

I think, the cutscenes in these two videos are pretty nice.
And the gameplay system is also nice. The sound of the attacks and the sound of the swords are very cool. A good game!
I hope this game will be come (in 2010) also for the PS3!

EDIT:

And, here are 13 new Screenshots (Samurai Warriors 3) :
(There are also screenshots from the splittscreen Coop Mode) :

Ah oh well.

But in Dynasty Warriors 5 they were not completely removed, it was certain stages for certain characters. Like facing Zhao Yun at Chang Ban. Though since 6 never had these I guess the whole thing has been ditched and may stay that way for good now.

I wouldn't mind DW5's style. Yukimura should have special introduction at Osaka, Sakon/Tadakatsu at Sekigahara, Katsuie at Shizukatage etc. When it's almost the same introduction in every single stage where the character appears, then it gets annoying.

Really curous who the last UNPC could be. I thought that Mori Terumoto looked unique in Motonari's opening vid but he turned out to be a generic.

//No, Saito Tatsuoki's a normal generic as well. Who knows, maybe KOEI decided to pull another Honganji Kennyo: the last NPC will only appear in one story and is seen only a couple of times. Just a wild guess, though.

A question: Can I already find the opening video on YouTube?
I'm really waiting to see the scans of Databook(or Guidebook, whatever XD),mainly waiting for the Character's Artwork(Koei's speciality).
I really want to see Musashi in this game,as a bodyguard,as a UNPC,even as a edited character,but no as a generic =/
[EDIT]: Katakura Kojuro as the last UNPC,Please  !!!!

Motonari's moveset looks great. Was that battle Hideyoshi's Chugoku campaign?

This game seems to take more fictional route in scenarios and story mods than SW2 (I don't know if this is good or bad). Well, actually I'm happy to see Shingen at Nagashino this time. Also good to see that "Crossing Iga" is back. But why is Motochika there?

One thing I don't like so far is that they use same maps for different battles.

This game looks good, I just hope it will come out on Xbox 360 next year.

(After the sales of the Wii show that, that console sucks)

Question: Do you think sometime in the future Koei would add blood, and more realistic death to this game? I mean. NPCs still fall and die in the same way in different attacks. In some games dead characters become rather limp. Their bodies drop to the floor however and wherever they're struck something like GTA 4. Their bodies stay there for an extended period of time (2-3 minutes). But since this is a war type of game wouldn't it be fun to have countless of bodies piled up onto eachother? Or am I just sick in the head..

As for the last NPC, I think it's odd we still don't know anything about him, now :s

I can't wait for the list of the stages for all characters :D

Motonari's first stage is Chugoku Defense Line and it's fictional. Motonari makes an alliance with Munesige and Ginchiyo in order to repel the assault of Oda-Tokugawa alliance (maybe Azai too?).

Motochika is a good friend of Mitsuhide in SW3 which explains why he appears in Iga Crossing.

This time around, I guess they're paying attention to Motochika's and Mitsuhide's relationship via family ties. Something about a sister?

Head to the complaint thread for any Wii hatred. Seraphil has warned you.

Hmmmm, now that's a bit awkward, Hanbei's rebelling against Saito but then fighting alongside him in the battle against Nobunaga...

This I don't really mind so much honestly. As long as there's still a healthy number of maps to give some variety I don't really care how many times they're used. In fact, I'd prefer they're used in different ways instead of forcing me to play the same scenario over and over.

Saito Toshimitsu was Mitsuhide's chief retainer (and since Mitsuhide was related to the Saito I suppose they are cousins). His sister Nana married Motochika. It was said that the reason of Mitsuhide's revolt is that because he wanted to protect Nana, since Nobunaga already planned an invasion of Shikoku, with his son Nobutaka leading.

Now if you want a game with map abuse, look at DW4...

Hanbei used to serve the Saito, right? What made him shift alliances to the Oda? And I didn't expect cute-as-a-button Hanbei and boogeyman Kanbei to have a buddy relationship...

EDIT: That's interesting indeed. Now all of a sudden two characters I didn't expect to have any game relationship now do...

Hanbei decides to betray the Saito coz Tatsuoki keeps ignoring his vassals (except for Toshimitsu). The same goes with Inaba Ittetsu, Ando Morinari, and Ujie Bokuzen.

I think the reason why Hanbei will befriends Kanbei is that because he rescued Kanbei's son Nagamasa when kidnapped by Araki Murashige in Itami Castle.

Saitou Tatsuoki was (as seen in Hanbei's OP) a failure of a leader. This was mostly because he was extremely young when his father died, but point remains that none of his retainers felt he was worthy. This is why the Mino Three, Hanbei, etc. all went over to the Oda. Long story short, anyway.

Also, just a heads up: For anyone who was going to order from Play-asia, they finally have preorders for treasure box, wii bundle, and classic controller bundle available promptly orders CC Bundle

Oichi's moveset is nice, not sectacular, but nice. I like how she dances around in some of her attacks. I'm really just waiting to see Nouhime in action, and the last UNPC.
