I hope they don't cut out Gackt's songs! They are so nice and catchy to hear... In DW3, the ending song is untouched, full chinese song while in DW4, the ending song changed to english one. I couldn't remember DW2, but the ending song is japanese untouched. |

You can use your CAW in free mode. But I think the only stages available are the ones already unlocked by playing a character's story. |

Yeah, as light said. Also bear in mind that this isn't a complete free mode like SW1, it's missing a few stages (so far I've only noticed that I'm missing Otsu Castle, but it's a missing stage nonetheless). Overall it's much more complete than SW2's so far though |

No 3rd NPC, and you cannot remove peripherals from characters' outfits. That was detail misinterpreted from CAW, I believe. |

Hey im not mad or anything! Its just like SW2, which only had 2 unpcs, Kojiro and Katsuie. Aya and Masanori are better than those 2 in my opinion. I'm sure like like Kojiro and Katsuie that they'll become playable in Xtreme Legends along with the return of the 3 cut characters with new looks and weapons thats my theory. When and hopefully if they make a samurai warriors 2 xtreme legends..... We'll see Aya Gozen and Masanori become playable with new unique weapons and movesets and we'll probably/hopefully see the return of Musashi, Kojiro, and Gracia hopefully with a new look and maybe a new weapon and moveset. |

Good news, everyone! It seems they've fixed Mitsunari. His mines automatically activate when an enemy steps on them. His R+X seems to have been changed from activating the mines to an aura (seems to be a damage aura) as a result. I'm really happy about this, now Mitsunari doesn't feel completely shafted in the specials department. On this note, what has become of Noh's specials? A similar fate, I hope? |

That would be insane and is NEVER gonna happen. If my prediction is true this is what I hope they have as a weapon... Masanori: His famous spear, but give it a very unique look and moveset of course. Aya Gozen: A scroll. She can use the scroll to wrap it around enemies and constrict them, or to slap enemies with it similar to San Zang from WOZ. She should also be able to use it to cast a small amount of magic. Gracia: A Magic book. She can use the book to smack enemies with and then she can also use the book to cast powerful magic. Kojiro: Same weapon just revamped with a new moveset. Musashi: Same weapon just revamped with a new moveset. Edit: OH MAN!!! Thanks for the info on Mitsunari thats so awsome. He is one of my favorite characters. To know that his bombs explode when someone touches them is sweet. I wonder what his aura looks like? Does it have any other effect besides hurting enemies? It'd be neat if it actually happened XD! I miss the original SW1 movesets for Masamune and Oichi ):. they weren't any fun in SW2 ;_;. Well - I still have SW1, so I can go back and play as two of my original all time favourites if I miss them too much :lol:. Please make them as CAW weapons KOEI *puppy eyes* And not the Normal Oichi moveset >:0 Her Charge type please *. * |

His aura kind of looks like an upward wind tunnel that wraps itself around him. Lv1 aura deals damage, lv2 stuns, deals damage, and guard breaks... I don't even know what's left for lv3 to do, but I'll be sure to let you guys know when I unlock it. Edit: actually.. Is there even a lv3 for specials in this game? I don't remember if I unlocked on for Hanzou and Nobunaga or not, but I just got his 5th charge and no lv3 specials yet. Also wanted to add that his aura lv2 causes a lot of juggling, which kind of hurts it's usefulness. Still very interesting though, can't wait to perfect it's use

Marry me? *-* Won't his mines have different effects too, by the amount of mines placed? (since he's special type) Or will the special attack upgrade only affect the amount of mines you can place at a time (without previous ones placed exploding - in SW2 I think the maximum amount of mines you could place was 8 or 9)? and hence the damage aura thing, to make up for the loss of additional mine effects? As far I can tell, lv2 mine special just increases the rate at which he places the mines. I think he effect of the mines depends on your weapon element, which I'll confirm in my next post since I've been using a lightning weapon this whole time. Also, edited my earlier post so you might want to read that bit. |

Kool beans. Thanks for the info Divine. His aura sounds interesting and useful. It reminds me of the self-buff aura special Shingen had in SW2. I wonder if he still has it. Anyways, I'm glad Mitsunari has been improved! Looking forward to hearing more. When u get the chance, can u give me some gameplay info on Nouhime? I wanna know wats gotten better...or worse...anything thats changed!

oh, that reminds me i was thinking earlyer about possabilities for a new WO game, and if KOEI would use Murasame castle characters from screen shots ive seen on the SW3 site, After Takamura rescues Ayame, she begins fallowing him around in stages, and she has no health bar (possably because she has no weapon and could die easly since she couldent defend her self) i was thinking if they did use Murasame castle characters, Ayame could be fetured as a playable character, and she could use Oichis old move set, since ayames pink kimono would match the pink kadetama (dosnt know how to spell that word) she used too wield o . o wouldent that be intresting? or dose it sound like a bad idea? |

Thats actually a great idea. I could definitely see that. Actually.....it would be pretty awsome if they even made a WO3! LOL And i'f they did and they added the characters from that mode u mentioned and gave Ayame Oichi's kendama...I'd be super syked to play as her as she is a cute loveable character. They could also use the demons from that level to join up with Orochi as his officers. OH! thats reminds me...Do the demon bosses from the Takamura mode have unique weapons, or do they use generic weapons like spears, swords, naginta's, etc. ?

Confirmed, Mitsunari's mine effects depend on your weapon. Also, just played one round as Katsuie real quick to see how he changed. He kept his explosions (no more piledriver lol) and they no longer consume musou to activate. Furthermore, they don't actually activate unless the hit connects now, so no more explosions if you swing at nothing. |
