i havent been here in forever... though i have been keeping up with updates on the main page... i was hoping koei would change their minds and release this game to america, but its still nonexistant here... i still just cant believe that koei canceled this game for english release... whats extremely surprising is that not even europe got it... i just wanna know, has anyone heard any word from koei why they destroyed the hopes of so many people? im dead serious here, i am SICKENED by koei... i havent touched a single koei game ever since the announcement of the game being canceled... also, i dont consider warriors orochi 2 for the psp the same game... i cant play this game on a handheld system, besides, it wouldnt be the same... besides, if america is forced to have a psp version only, all of japan should have their ps3 versions taken away...

koel had secret reasons that don wan us to know but that does not affect me, becasue the game although it is in japan, most of its contents contained kanji which was also chinese characters and the same meaning, so i hav no problem reading them, besides after playing the first game you should hav no problem playing it in other language, it is all the same |

I don't think we'll ever get a reason probably because Japan is Koei's biggest audience it's a shame i was looking forward to this game, can't be arsed porting it though Although this shouldn't stop you from enjoying other Koei games I'm p***ed off aswell but i'm getting back into DW3 |

it is not becasue japan is koel's biggest audience, it is becasue koel was in japan and it was a japan company, thats why english version of koel game are always in japanese first, but even if i chose, i would hav chose japan instead, because i prefer the voices in the japan versions, but it would probaly be a different reason for u guys |

According to what I read in the older thread, Sony canceled the plans to localize it outside Japan due to fears it wouldn't get good ratings. The fact that it would've sold well enough apparently didn't occur to them, but now that it's heading for PC and supposedly will be seeing sales in Europe means that Sony's grip on Koei is loosening. Maybe. |

Microsoft muscling in again are they... that can only be a good thing for EVERYONE involved. Yet somehow i dont think Sony has that much of a grip on KOEI... bear in mind this was the same Sony which didnt even get the first two Orochi titles in the first place hence they got this "Z" installment as a result |

PS2 and PS3 are both Sony might want to rethink your wording.@Ganheim: What makes you so sure that MOZ would have sold well if brought to NA. Koei games generally dont do very well over here, in both the ratings catagory and selling. |

@Totoro: I was trying to imply that it would've been a fair market, as games like Multi Raid/Strikeforce sold relatively well. This wouldn't be a blockbuster in NA or Eur, but it's a market that they might as well try to exploit because I'm fairly sure that they'll make a profit. Unfortunately, I can't say much more about ratings because I disagree with many of them - plenty of my top favourites (like Ratchet & Clank) seemed to be fly more under the radar than into the stratosphere. |

Well, you cant exactly compare this game to Strikeforce, as it was the only Koei game in a long while to get semi-decent ratings from Western reviewers. I dont see what you mean by Ratchet & Clank, The game has gotten very good ratings, maybe not as good as recent blockbusters like MW2, AC2, and U2. But its been getting ratings close to 9/10s or higher by most. But I do agree that surprisingly even with good ratings, the game has still managed to fly under the radar. Im a huge R&C fan unfortunately havent been able to get A Crack in Time yet, as ive been promised with it for Christmas .__.

Im pretty sure sales would have been decent. Koei games have a somewhat cult following in the states like those crazy kids who keep buying madden games... |

Are you friggin' serious? I directly quoted you and told you what the issue was when you posted back in the SW3 section last time you were here. Do you not read or something? http://s13.zetaboards.com/koeiwarriors/single/?p=8328375&t=6628640 Long story short: Koei cannot release the game even though they wanted to release it. Stop this vendetta against Koei, it is misplaced and only damaging to you. |
