Haven't seen this topic here... i think?

Anyway, just discuss the most amazing battle you ever had in any of the ROTK games. Doesn't matter if you lost it, as long as you pulled off some amazing stunts and think it's amazing, just post.

The greates battle i fought happened in XI at Jian Ye between me (Ma Teng) and Cao Cao. Cao Cao attacked Lu Jiang with 120k troops from Jian Ye and 50k more from Wu. I countered him with all my navy S officers and 80k troops from Lu Jiang, and 50k more from Shou Chun/Jiang Xia.

We duked it out on the river between Ru Xu and Jian Ye. Gan Ning was pretty much the star on my side, along with Han Dang, Jiang Qin and Chen Wu. I also had Zhou Tai and Zhu Huan taking catapult warships to Jian Ye directly and take down the city from the water (Catapult + Yunnan Ladder = pwnage). Jian Ye destroyed => major advantage.

And the battle itself, pretty much gained the advantage. I had the most Navy S officers on my side, and demolished Cao Cao's superior numbers. I also had 40 warships at Lu Jiang (thank you Lu Fan ;) ). Cao Cao only had a few of those.

In the end, i did suffer loads of losses (took the city, had 60k troops left). But Cao Cao was worse, only 15k left in both Wu and Hui Ji.

Huo Qubing with a created force vs Sun Quan
Battlefield: Him attacking Shou Chun with around 80~120k troops from down south.

My response:
Huo Qubing, Sun Bin + The max number of troops for an Emperor with Military reform, Cavalry. (Should be around 18~20k)
Ma Chao, Huang Quan. 16,000 Cavalry
Ma Dai, with 12,000 cavalry.
Xiang Ji, Zhang Liang. 18,000 Cavalry
Ying Bu, Deng Zhi. 18,000 Cavalry
Qin Qiong, Ma Su, Ma Tie? (The guy with forced gallop) 18,000 Cavalry
Wu Qi 9,000 Spears (Early reinforcements from the closest area to Shouchun, before the big gunz arrive)
Li Ji 9,000 Spears (same as above)
Yang Dayang, Zhang Yi, 16,000 Cavalry.

And a LOTTTTTTTT of other units. I remember having at least 10 people with WAR over 90 in the battle, and around 150~200k troops in all, almost all of them were cavalry troops with S apt, too.

The first cavalry hit was a charge by Ma Dai, on Zhou Xin's ram unit, it was so epic in the sense of him going "Nooooo!"

Greatest duel? Beating Pei Yuan Shao as Guo Jia (!) in RTK X.

Talk about pure luck! i still can't believe i didn't get KO'd in one hit, or that i actually agreed to a duel with Pei in the first place.

My best duel: Taishi Ci forced in a one-on-one with Lu Bu (cavalry tactic forced duel) At Xiao Pei.

Threw the Hand Spear right away, kept playing on Defense and once buffed i switched to Spirit. Gained extra spirit and had enough to unleash Musou on Lu, which weakened him to 80 WAR. Switched to Attack stance and finished him off.

Then i gave Lu Bu a one-way ticket to the gallows and gave his stuff to Taishi Ci. From then on, things were a breeze.

Duel: Pei Yuan Shao(me) vs Lu Zhi: both had horrible war stats( Zhi had 3 more than me), and none could gain advantage(rotk 11). I gained a spectacular advantage, then Zhi begun to retreat, what i feared that was feign retreat

Let's see; I have two awesome battles, both were in ROTK IX

First one, was playing as Liu Bei in the Dong Zhou scenario. I dislike Shu, greatly, but wanted a new challange and I wanted to test how far I can get. I assigned 2-3 created officers with Melee and WAR above 97.

Went domestic and drafting for a year or two, Han Fu sent a gift I accepted before he attacked some FAR city with ALL his troops save for 100 he left in his city. Of course, Yuan Shao siezed this oppertunity and attacked with 30,000 troops (I think) in a Tower formation. I sent Zhang Fei, Guan Yu, Liu Bei and the two created guys in a Foot formation, all Melee save for Liu Bei and his assualt. I managed to get there before the city gets any damage, both units fired for a second before they clashes (The small firing resulted with them losing around 20 troops?) then just as the units clashed, my four Melee officers all do one Mega Mighty Awesome Melee attack, taking down the entire 29,9xx troops

I went on and took the city, Han Fu's lucky I didn't turn on him

Other battle was against Yuan Shao, with me being Awesome Cao ;D . Was a naval battle around Fuling, he had twice the number of troops I had but I had most of Wu's officers and bigger ships. It was crazy really, like 400,000 men fighting on both sides. I made use of me being the attacking side and just destroyed the port to get it and the troops inside (he didn't have enough officers to send them all =D ).

Duel, I can NEVER forget that CRAZY duel, also in ROTK IX
I was in a disadvantage in the battle itself, Ma Chao's onsluaghts kicked my ass and Xu Zhu didn't do much with his assualts.
Ma Chao had some nice officers with him and more troops than I did, I just wanted Xu Zhu to buy time really but then that duel came and I was like F*ck no!

Xu Zhu ; WAR 96
Ma Chao; WAR 97

Xu Zhu wins!

Cheng Yin enters, WAR around 86

Xu Zhu wins!

Ma Teng enters, war around 76

Xu Zhu wins!

I think I danced around my house all day long

We had a duel topic way back in the day. I couldn't find it, I'm pretty sure it's been archived somewhere. This should be a good replacement at least. ;)

So far to date my greatest has been a Hu Lao reenactment. I was controlling Dong Zhuo and seven other lords. Cao Cao, Liu Bei, Yuan Shao, Gongsun Zan, Sun Jian, Yuan Shu and Ma Teng. I started at the 184 scenario so it was pretty easy making forces with the appropriate leaders. Gave every of the smaller lords at least fifteen units in marching. Gathered around Chen Liu with at least 100K troops in each side. Dong Zhuo having the obvious higher troop was more than a match for the seven lords. Most units I've seen. Some of them were even disappearing because the PS2 couldn't handle so many, lol.

It was pretty intense, once it started generals and strategists were dying all over the place. Gave some novel duels to play things out almost like the actual battle. Hua Xiong killed off 18 officers in no time. Mostly CAWs' that were getting forced into dueling. I also lost Sun Jian unintentionally while fighting in front of Luo Yang. Sun Ce along with Zhou Yu who were in the same unit were as well weak in energy, so yeah. He went out fighting Lu Bu, Gao Shun and Zhang Liao he managed to hang around to turn 46. I split the forces and encircled Luo Yang. Fighting by Chen Liu through Wan, etc. In the end Cao Cao seized Luo Yang. Fun stuff, I should try it again sometime!

For dueling I have a lot. Since I tend to abuse it in every RoTK. I'll think up some really epic ones and share it later. I have tons for RoTK IX since the dueling system there was my favorite.
