So with the game so close to release (Just under 40 days..going to the store first thing the morning of the 29th to pick it up), thought it would be nice to talk more in-depth about stages and what not since we've literally received nothing on the main site regarding them, unlike past games. So we know some stages (and there's sure to be a ton more. I expect the number being in the 30s-40s range), or at least can predict them off of videos and infos- Ieyasu/Tadakatsu - Mikatagahara Mitsunari/Yoshitsugu - Sawayama Castle (?) Masmaune/Kojuuro stage - Suriagehara (?) Yukimura/Sasuke stage - Ueda Castle Ujimasa/Kotaro stage - Odawara Castle Kanbei stage - ? Oichi stage - Anegawa (?) Kenshin/Keiji/Kasuga/Kanetsugu stage - Kawanakajima Motochika stage - ? Motonari stage - Itsukushima Yoshihiro stage - Kyushu Magoichi stage - ? Tsuruhime stage - ? Tenkai/Hideaki stage - ? Sorin/Muneshige stage - Probably Zabii's castle Yoshiaki stage - ? Toshiie/Matsu stage - Shizugatake (?) Landlord Amago stage - Gassan-Toda (?) Landlord Satake stage - ? Landlord Utsunomiya stage - ? Landlord Nanbu stage - ? Landlord Anegakoji stage - ? And we know what a bunch look like or possibly could be, but it's a little hard pinpoint them like Aniki's or Tsuru's. So what do you guys think? And any stages you'd like to see? I'd love to see Kasugayama return, Hasedou (should be a given in this game), Dance at the Capital, as well as the Osaka Summer Siege. As for ideas, I have a couple off the top of my head- 1. Siege of Yanagawa Castle: Tachibana/Otomo vs. Kuroda/Tokugawa We don't have Kiyomasa, but we got Kanbei so they could easily make this happen, even though it's after the main battle of Sekigahara but it shouldn't be a problem. Threw in Sorin in there because he'd most likely stick around Muneshige and vice-versa, and Yoshihiro could show up to represent the Shimazu reinforcements. Could also have some Tokugawa reps show up so Kurokan isn't by his lonesome- Hondam would be nice for an epic battle with Mune and Yoshi. 2. And continuing with that last thought.. Duel Stage: Hondam vs. Yoshihiro vs. Muneshige Don't know where a good place would be for this to happen, but it'd be epicly epic on so many levels to have these 3 going all out in a small battle. Would push the rivalry of them all and cement them as SB's "strongest of the strong" angle they've been given. 3. Sekigahara Retreat: Shimazu vs. Eastern Army Taking a note from SM's battle, and though not a huge fight or anything it still deserves it's own stage imo. A point A-to-point B set-up would be fine, maybe with powered-up Tadakatsu as the last guard you'd have to get through. 4. Azuchi Ruins: Oda Remnants vs. Ishida/Western Army Would be cool to see a stage representing the 'shadow of the Oda' or some schtick, and Azuchi would be the perfect setting for it. Ichi would be especially psycho here with returning memories of her bro, sis, and Nagamasa constantly coming to her. For the setting of the stage itself I see a bunch of burning and/or burnt surroundings, with the main citadel of the castle broken and covered by an eerie glow. That dark moon that was in the background of the original could also be back, closer than ever or even more eclipsed and shrouded in darkness. And that's it for now, but I'll probably have some later. Anyways, go at it Edited by Hondam, Fri Jul 30, 2010 6:55 pm.

Actually, I think that Honnoji will fit as her stage better, being the place where she killed her brother. And I think it'd be even better if she doesn't remember the place. She may visit it from time to time, but she doesn't understand the reason for doing so. Let's leave her memories to her story, I shouldn't care about it when I come to beat her up. It'd be also nice if her stage won't have any mooks at all, or if the mooks are actually her black hands in weird shapes. I'll be really surprised if some Oda mooks manage to survive the fall of the house AND wish to serve a ghost. |

^ Yeah Honnouji could work out too, but Azuchi seemed like a better choice simply because of how scarce it was in the past games whereas Honnouji was almost beaten to death with how many iterations of it popped up. And I figured the memories thing worked seeing as how she already doesn't have them anywhere else so far. Might as well throw 'em in somewhere and a stage devoted to her and the Oda seems like the only good place to do it. Also the Oda Remnants as a force wasn't an idea, they've already been confirmed as a faction with Ichi as the leader. |

^I wonder what went into the heads of those soldiers to serve to what essentially is a personification of Oda's demon blood paired that she is mentally unstable? I mean, who does strategies and tactics for them? Random mook: Oichi-sama! We have been completely outflanked by X's army! What should we do? Oichi: jiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii~ Random Mook: O-Oichi-sama...? Oichi: heh. *Black hands devour the poor guy* Then again, she might not be that stupid at all. Anyway as for her stage, either Honnoji or Azuchi castle would be great. For dramatic purposes I'd go for Honnoji, but as for sheer awesome/creepiness I'd go for Azuchi for its immense structure. ~LK Edited by lordkaho, Sun Jun 20, 2010 12:06 pm.

Well, seeing as she sometimes has those static interferences, it could mean that sometimes that "voice" or "him" takes over and does the strategy meeting. Maybe it´s really Nobunaga, taking controll over Oichi But seeing as she fights for the west side, without even knowing why probably, she´s just a puppet now, that follows some random guys, even though everyone without the blind eye for revenge or some other desires knows that Mitsunari´s side is doomed. (what´s his plan after he killed Ieyasu? Kill everyone who didn´t stop Ieyasu from killing Hideyoshi, meaning everyone? )BTW, what would be Hisahide´s stage...as far as I remember his region would probably be Yamato...were his stages in SB2:H also in Yamato or somewhere else? And if Musashi really is the last PC...what would his stage be? Some random duelling arena again? Hmmm...well...without Kojiro I´d understand it though

Well, a stage that I would play all the time would be.....Masamune, Keiji, Yukimura, Mitsunari vs. Kanbei, Tsuru, Kotaro, Ieyasu, and Hondam. I really don't know where this could happen, and it is just something I made up. I think it would be cool to see these characters go at it. |

Pretty much this, yes. And the Yoshitsugu fanboy in me would love to see a stage solely of his. While Sawayama castle looks awesome (favorite stage so far), it's too "clean and tidy". I'd like to see something more representative of his dystopian dreams. Needless to say, this idea has a porkchop's chance in a tank full of piranhas of making it. |

THIS. Or any larger variation, like say, all rumble arena stage where west side v.s. east side duke it out. 8 vs 8. Think about it. Chaos and awesomeness ensues...and lag. ~LK |

Since Mitsunari talked about "Hideyoshi's holy place", I think his stage is Osaka castle...but I might be wrong. I too strongly wish for a royal rumble kind of stage...let's hope Sekigahara will be like that. |

^ Yeah, I was thinking about that too but I dunno, it just doesn't match the massive scale that was Osaka in SB2, and doesn't look like the Summer variation at all either but eh, who knows at this point. Capcom just really needs to start releasing the stage infos and lists already. I'm honestly surprised we've had no word of them at all so far, especially cause the SB team had always made an effort in the past games to showcase them on the site. |

Back with a few stage names confirmed from one of the recent promo vids on the main site. Not much but at least its something. Thanks to NDY for confirming Ujou- 鳥城の戦い - Kobayakawa Hideaki & Tenkai Battle of Ujou [Crow Castle]. Ujou is another name of Okayama Castle. 戸次川の戦い - Otomo Sorin (& Tachibana Muneshige) Battle of Hetsugigawa. Historically was the Shimazu vs. Toyotomi Forces comprised of the Otomo, Chosokabe, and Sengoku. 長谷堂城の戦い - Mogami Yoshiaki Battle of Hasedou Castle 川中島東士戦 - Uesugi Kenshin (& Kasuga, Muteki) Eastern Warrior Bout at Kawanakajima 雑賀基の戦い - Saika Magoichi Battle at the Saika Base 厳島の戦い - Mouri Motonari Battle of Itsukushima *手取川の戦い - Maeda Toshiie & Matsu Battle of Tedorigawa *= Not 100% confirmed as Toshiie covers up most of the battle name in the video. However 手 and 川 can be made out so it is assumed to be Tedorigawa. Edit- Changed the Uesugi stage, it seems there's a little more to the name that I didn't notice the first time. I'm still (along with most people I'm sure) most interested in seeing how Sekigahara turns out. When you devote the focus of the game to this one event you'd better hope it turns out well. And honestly, they only way they can top the SB2 version in my books is to make it a battle royale like Lord Kaho and NDY suggested earlier in this thread. Any thoughts |

One thing I would really like to see is Keiji, Masamune, Yukimura, and Mitsunari. On a team. This would be the most amazing thing ever, in my book. Even if it's just a special random stage. I could see Keiji and Masamune joining the West easily. If that happens, and Sekigahara turns out to be awesome.....Kanbei would be making that face for real!

I think it's safe to assume it's gonna be a battle royale, with the sides slightly changing depending on which story route is taken (evident by the Skigahara promo vid where only a few characters are specifically given a side, whereas the others don't have any). As for stage layout, my idea is essentially like the SB2 version but with a little twist. We still have that massive circular area for the main part of the battle, but spreading out on either side are two more "routes" that lead to the main camps. Basically the Kawanakajima Destiny battle and Sekigahara from SB2 mixed together to create one enormous stage. I'd even like the idea if the scales of the two camp routes are also pretty big, making the whole Sekigahara battle almost as "1 full stage + 2 mini stages." You'd start from one camp (east or west), fight your way through the snaking path to get to the giant battleground in the center, where all the other enemy characters are stationed. You have to fight through hordes and hordes to make it to the path of the opposing camp, where the final boss character is. BiB: Yuki and Masa won't be on the same side... Just a small summary after confirmed stages and Oda Nobunaga reveal: 1. Tokugawa Ieyasu/Honda Tadakatsu - Mikatagahara 2. Ishida Mitsunari/Otani Yoshitsugu - Osaka Castle 3. Kenshin/Keiji/Kasuga/Kanetsugu - Eastern Warrior Bout at Kawanakajima 4. Sanada Yukimura/Sarutobi Sasuke - Ueda Castle 5. Hojo Ujimasa/ Fuma Kotaro - Odawara Castle 6. Saika Magoichi - Battle at the Saika Base 7. Motonari - Battle of Itsukushima 8. Tenkai/Kobayakawa Hideaki - Battle of Ujou (Okayama Castle) 9. Tenkai - Kanegasaki (thanks to Zankai for that one) 10. Otomo Sorin/Tachibana Muneshige - Battle of Hetsugigawa 11. Mogami Yoshiaki - Battle of Hasedou Castle 12. Maeda Toshiie/Matsu stage - Battle of Tedorigawa 13. Landlord Amago stage - Gassan-Toda 14. Shamizu Yoshihiro - Kyushu 15. Date Masmaune/Katakura Kojuuro - Suriagehara (?) 16. Kanbei stage - Battle in Kanbei´s Cellar (?) 17. Oichi - Anegawa (?) 18. Oda Nobunaga - ? 19. So, judging from the live stream archived videos, I think it's safe to say that Oichi's stage is Anegawa. I hope I'm not being mixed up here, but the stage music there sounds like the Anegawa stage (vs. Nobunaga) in SB2H. It would make sense, since its where {static}sa-sama was killed by {static}ii-sama in her story in the same game. Edited by RTsharpshooter, Wed Jul 28, 2010 2:09 am.
