Well to me, and apparently others, the graphics look pretty much the same in both games. I wasn't the only one to spot it:http://www.siliconera.com/2010/02/15/multiplatform-sengoku-basara-battle-heroes-screens-look-similar-too-similar/ Anyhow, I know they have improved from the previous installments but really now, they aren't all that great. And I'm not saying graphics make the game good. However this topic is solely on the graphics, so bare with it But you'll see my point that there is no difference between the graphics whatsoeverHere's an ingame screen of Tokugawa Ieyasu on both platforms: Wii ![]() PS3 ![]() And now here's a scene with Date Masamune and Tokugawa Ieyasu: Wii ![]() PS3

I thought the PS3 version had more advanced lighting than the Wii version, but those do look more or less identical. The difference would probably be more apparent running the PS3 version on an HD display (I assume SB3 can do 720p). Actually...are these even separate screens of the separate versions? The PS3 screens are LITERALLY just the Wii screens with the gamma turned up slightly. The clouds, the soldiers past the first bridge, and the sakura petals are in the literal exact same spot. Either I don't understand how benchmarking and comparison shots are done by game developers, or IGN is just lazy, crooked, or both...

I've played both versions of the game and the PS3 had much more detail than the Wii version. I mean the Wii looked great and 10 times better than Samurai Warriors 3, but it barely compared to the PS3 graphics. It definitely depends on the TVs as well, but I played on the same model. The PS3 version also costs a bit more. The Wii you need to buy the controller combo pack or else you need to find your own controller for this. |

If we play on a fairly large HD TV, we see immediately that the graphics are still better than the Wii version. |

For the record, I'm pretty damn sure the cutscenes are prerendered. Far more obvious when you notice your equipped weapon doesn't show up in one cutscene, even if you saw it equipped in-stage cutscene. So story cutscenes probably aren't the best things to use for your comparison |

I would literary go for the PS3 version because you can have the resolution to 1080p which would be amazing. |

^ This. My options are: Wii on a 27", older TV. PS3 on a 67" 1080p HD tv. ...Which one would you guys prefer? |

Either the Wii's graphics are REALLY good, or the PS3 graphics are REALLY subpar. Either way, I'll be too busy playing the game to really notice. |

The Ps3's might be considered 'subpar' compared to the graphical juggernauts out there now, but I haven't seen it yet. The Wii version does look VERY nice though. |

I've been wondering about why most of the cutscenes run at 30 fps while the rest of the game is at 60 fps (on single-player, at least). Also, I don't think the scenes are pre-rendered, as I swear in the live streams Mitsunari was wearing his Alt. in a story scene. The weapons probably go to "default" to prevent clipping or weird situations (as awesome as it would be to see Mitsunari own Motonari with his feathers). Edit: The cutscenes are rendered in real time. Alt. costumes show up, and 2 major scenes in Keiji's story (blue path) took place on two different stages when I went through them (the same scenes, but once was in the Naval Battle, the other time was in Itsukushima). But you'll see my point that there is no difference between the graphics whatsoever
