Well, from the screenshots, the gameplay does indeed looks similar to DW. Health bars above enemies, rotation screen select all of that is there. Anyway it looks great, and this is indeed a TRUE Dynasty Warriors Gundam. If it goes up to Chi Bi here I'm hoping a sequel can talk about what happens after. Only downside? It might not see a western release due to the non-existence of the Sangokuden Gunpla line in the US and UK. |

Well, so long as the DS is region free, I'm importing this. Even if it doesn't have Lu Meng or other of my favorites (seeing that they're not important pre-Chi Bi or during Chi Bi), it looks entertaining enough to try (besides, I love SD Gundams... they're rather cute), and it'll be nice to see those who are often neglected in the DW series get more attention (shoot, will the Yuan Shao forces finally be taken seriously? ... well, seeing it's SD Gundams, maybe not XD ). So, looks fun in my book. If it's successful enough, maybe the sequel will continue after Chi Bi and we can get even more characters? |

Yes, the DS is indeed region free. DSi on the other hand is not. Yuan Shao so far in the anime is a bit of a douche, with Yuan Shu an even worse offender, but perhaps he might be taken seriously once Guan Du rolls in. Also one thing that should be kept in mind is that the anime (and gunpla kit) storyline takes certain liberties in the story, meaning that it doesn't follow the ROTK completely. |

I haven't watched the anime (up to this point I didn't even know there WAS one... I haven't watched a lot of anime lately), but most anime/comics/movies about ROTK tend to get crazy on the artistic licensing (aka straying the path of ROTK). And I'm glad they did, because otherwise, it'd be a little boring. And boy am I glad I have my DSLite then... sometimes it is good not to upgrade. |

Well they do have the first few episodes subbed on youtube so you can catch them there. It's not even a full 30 minute show, it's just a mini series of about 15 min each. A game going after Chi Bi would be great, but the story at the point really goes in a different direction; only things that carry over from ROTK are Ma Chao's battles and the Nanman campaign, the rest of the story is purely original. In fact there are four SD Gundam variations of the story: the manga that comes the regular kits, the manga that comes with the anime kits, the anime story itself, and a regular manga that's released separately. |

Jebus... it looks like someone's going to have to watch those anime and catch up on the manga that came with the kit. I was able to find the Lu Meng-Gan Ning and Guan Yu (surprisingly enough, there's a new Geek store that opened in the mall and I found the Lu Meng-Gan Ning kit, so hopefully they'll ship more in?)... going to have to do some 'research'. |

This game is lookin' pretty awesome. I'm so happy that Sima Yi is pretty much confirmed. I think I shall be using my $5 playasia coupon from my ACE R order on this. I'm hopin' Yuan Shao, Yuan Shu, and Zhang Jiao are all playables but I'm sure some characters are gonna get the ol' npc status. Really want them though, I've always been a fan of the non gundam suits

 Well, in the chara select screen, on the faction bar the factions are listed as follows: Yuan Shao forces Yuan Shu forces Yellow Turbans Others Liu Bei forces Cao Cao forces Sun Quan forces Dong Zhuo forces So looking at that, Yuan Shao, Yuan Shu and Zhang Jiao seem to be as good as confirmed, and I just need more concrete proof to make it 100%.  Now let's see if that means some less major characters could make it in too like Zhang Bao and Zhang Liang since the factions are listed that way. I'm gonna LOL if the likes of Chen Gong Mercurius & Gao Shun Vayeate end up being playable too. But if Diao Chan Qubeley is playable here, I'm buying this game. >.< @rayhaku: Yep, the models are the same with the toy models, so there should be no worries about model discrepancies.

Hmm, I'd say Diao Chan should be in. Qubeley is my favorite MS, so it would be nice  But anyways with the Yuans and Zhang Jiao having factions listed then surely they will be playable. Dericious~ I'm really looking forward to this. |

i'm hoping for the nanmans to be playable,a gundam game isn't complete without a playable god gundam!and btw,the elephant's "power armor" form is master gundam's body(minus the head and cloak,and yes,its strangely resembles a headless talgeese too) also,lets hope the 3 man team can do a special team ability(or attack,like WO),i'm picturing the yellow turban trio combining into The O as their special team ability(fat chance since so far only zhang jiao is confirmed in for now) |

Well, at least it's better than a certain Warriors game which neglected Nanman despite the story going until Wu Zhang.  But to compensate for that they may be covering more of the pre-Chi Bi figures. Considering the way they set up the faction listing, Zhang Bao and Zhang Liang may have a good chance to be appearing too. And we'll even see Yuan Shu and Ji Ling, who haven't got a spotlight in DW yet, very likely to be playable as well.

 Having the non-DW-playable characters is another plus, especially since here they're all unique being based off different mobile suits. But yeah, playing as Meng Huo and going God Gundam on all enemies with his RAGING FISTS OF RIGHTEOUS POWER would be fun in its own right. Here's hoping that a sequel would come out. |

ahh,how positive this board are compared to a certain other board where if there's a character that is confirmed to not be in the game(or confirmed to be in but they don't want it to be in) equals pages and pages of rant,cursing,and threatening not to buy the game and hate it forever in here,a character didnt make it?hope for a sequel!even if the actual game isn't out yet,so positive,man i love this thread  lets just wish it'll get more crowded once the game is out  |

Yep saw it. Made the 2nd post. @wodash: I tend to be optimistic on character rosters in games actually. Half the fun of always playing a sequel game are the new characters. Zuo Ci as the Zeong, huh? You know, Saji Perfect Zeong has a good ring to it... As far as "40 playable characters" goes, would that be including the grunts? I mean, I enjoyed playing the grunts in that OTHER Dynasty Warriors Gundam game, but peeps are gonna get burned again if that sizable number of playable characters is 1/4th filled with characters lacking enough substance for most folks' tastes. |

Hamma Hamma is Ji Ling, Yuan Shu's subordinate. He might also have very good chance of appearing here under Yuan Shu's Forces. (Besides it would be not funny if Yuan Shu ended up being the only one in his faction bar )There's no sign of Geymark yet, but so far as ZZ units are concerned, there are Ju Shou R-Jarja and Tian Feng Galus-J, both working under Yuan Shao. So far they haven't appeared in the anime and only in the ED pics though. There are also Yan Liang Gazu-L and Wen Chou Gazu-R.
Well, so far it seems that you will be able to play as the grunt GMs, but at this point it can only be safely assumed for the 3 kingdom forces. I'm still not 100% sure whether you will be able to play as grunt Zakus or Gazas from the villain factions. Though, I think I'm gonna raise an eyebrow if the likes of Ma Yuanyi Zaku (the first fodder general working for YT) are playable too.

I did enjoy playing as the grunts in Gundam Warriors 2...for a while. Once I got bored I started to ponder that they could have put in other playable MS's and pilots. I'm not too sold on playing as the grunts here either, especially if it might take up a huge chunk of the character roster. While we're discussing MS and characters, I might as well show these three. They were taken from anime screenshots but I along with people on the facebook group I got these from can't identify who they are.    |
