As we haven't seen any Xtreme Legends for quite a while this is a good time to bring this up. When the Xtreme Legends subseries was released I liked it; adding new weapons, new stories and new modes. However, it does sort of beg the question: Why couldn't Koei just put in the stuff at the get-go? With the next-gen consoles and the bigger space for discs it seems that Xtreme Legends aren't needed anymore. Or, if they do need to put stuff in, they have DLC as an option. Now you're probably wondering why I don't include Empires. Simple, because Empires is practically an entirely different game. |

DLC, DLC and DLC. And of course each series should have online-cooperation mode. If Koei make DW7 and SW4 which be ideal game than there is excellent time to add through dlc new stage and especially new characters untill following installment from these two series would release. (I adore ME2 and I like too much their dlc, so i want that KOEI also use it in its game) |

Well I myself prefer Xtreme Legends to Empires. I like to learn more and dwelve deeper into the more personal stories (Legend Mode). And also it fits into the time gap between the last main title and the next quite appropriately usually. However, it's true that you could say they should add the XL content into the actual title itself since Empires's system is more different and unique. |

hmm i personally like both XL and Empires but TBH I agree with Xalfrea, with everybody doing DLC, it wouldn't suprise me if they did stop making XL titles I mean absolutely, why do that when you can download it or yea have it from the get go because of more space. |

as I don't have ready online access for my gaming - I'm of the camp that believes they should pack in all the XL material into the main games - purchasing everything when it comes out gets rather steep for guy without decent income...and waiting for the price to drop can take an aggravatingly long time... -however- IF I did/eventually get to make use of DLC like the greater majority seems to, then I'd readily welcome it - but overall, I'd still rather like to have everything right out the box, it makes that initial purchase so much more worthwhile. Y'know? if it means the releases take longer, I'll be okay with that - I can hold if it means waiting for the full experience (ie: all the levels they can come up with, all the characters, bonus modes, extras, etc.) at first purchase. |

I think another poll ought to be added in: Should XL material be disc or DLC? I'd much rather prefer it if they added all the stuff in at the get-go, but I'm all for DLC because it at least doesn't require another disc. On the other hand I don't have a PS3 or 360 to even play next gen Dynasty Warriors so... |

I completely agree with you, Xalfrea. I thoroughly enjoyed the XL games, but I don't think they have enough merit to make them worth a whole different disc. I've never been a fan of Challenge Mode or Versus Mode, so I would love for Koei to swap them with the various Modes from the XL games. |

Looking at next-gen installments, there isn't much need for XL or DLC. I'm sure the disc can hold all the content that should have already been in the game. |

Even though i've never played an XL i'd like it to still be around but rather in the form of DLC that would work with a currently existing title. |

Yes, they should stop. Xtreme legends' additional stages, CAW and an extra mode can fit well enough on one game. |

As said in another thread, I would love to see the XL added to an Empires game along with a Free Mode and an even more improved character creation system. And achivements which are actually decent would be nice, instead of 'complete battle with this character' or 'collect all bonuses'. How about something like 'Beat Lu Bu across all difficulty settings' and 'Some warrior - Get your backside handed to you by the lowest level soldier' |

Accidentally voted 'no'. KOEI should completely stop their production of separate discs with Xtreme Legends content only, unless they plan on reducing the price to somewhere around $15. Xtreme Legends games don't merit enough content for a $30-40 price (even though I would still pay for it... ).Rather, KOEI needs to start shifting their objective to making new, profitable downloadable content available on the online networks, Xbox LIVE and the Playstation Network. It'd make many fans happier that for new Musou modes, fourth or fifth weapons, etc. they won't have to go to the store and buy it for an overpriced product. |

...which can be added via DLC now. I know it's not fair to discount those who don't have Wi-Fi and pay access, but logically Koei would go the way of DLC. Besides there's no excuse for the XL characters to not be in the regular game at the get-go. |

Yes they should stop making XL games since they should put all the content into the original game. The whole XL thing is utterly stupid and just a way to get more money from the fans. |

Both answers to the poll are wrong.. One is offensive and the other is just greedy.. Extreme legends was a decent enough add on that made the existing game even better and I liked that. Just before you think you have done it all, new content is out... and it’s not like making a new sequel because they have a lot of differences... With these Xl add on’s, it just gave us new stuff without changing anything... Now with downloadable content available, that’s what the new extreme legends should and most likely be, because it’s a good selling tactic and just all round good.. If in not wrong, the Xbox version of Sw2xl was downloadable only wasn’t it?.. So I’m voting for neither in this poll.. I vote Xl should be downloadable.. |

I agree with you Joetri10 but with the DLC I don't think they'll be that way completely. Cause the the creates of the PS3 game Dragon Age: Origins came out with an expansion disk for there game with more contain to add on the original game. |

Im not bothered if they release a XL or not, as long as they make the game decent and have enough stuff on it, thats fine with me. |

Yep, i think they should stop making Xtreme legends games, but also stop making empires games. They should add that content to original game, and if they create new characters/weapons/modes just add them as downloable content, i don't think there is a need to release a xtreme legends game that doesn't offer a thing if you don't have the originial one. |
