When I read the title, I actually thought some DLC character was leaked or something, oh hopes crushed TT_TT Anyways, I want Cao Ren's DW5 outfit, along with Zhang Liao's and debating which Xiahou Yuan costume looks better, DW5, or DW7? |

Da Qiao in her costume from Dynasty Warriors 3 is simply magnificent. I really hope that it will be available as DLC later. |

havent been around these parts in awhile, but randomly decided to come by and see whats up and read about whats going on with DW7. i barely played DW6 and as a result havent seen the vast majority of the characters appearances so i dont know how they compare to their appearance in this latest installment. ive been looking at the screenshots on this thread though and have had some varying reactions. id like to share my thoughts on a select few of their appearances: Zhen Ji: very hawt. that bare stomach never goes out of style on her. Zhao Yun: my main man looks kinda plain in this incarnation. not terribly impressed. i notice hes got one arm somewhat bare and the other covered in sleeve. Zhou Tai: this is a cool one. hes still rolling with the visually appealing color combination of red and black, but hes not fully covered up above waist, which allows his scars of valor (which were renowned throughout the land) to be shown to all. nice. Xiahou Yuan: i lol'd at first glance. he looks like some kind of goofy aerial ace now (its the scarf). THUMBS UP SOLDIER! Cao Cao: yep, evil emperor. check. Cai Wenji: wasnt she depicted in the movie Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon? if that is her, it would be interesting to see how she fights in the game. will she use an actual weapon or her harp thing? Da Qiao: shes a stewardess/flight attendant now? guess it makes sense since she was always doing strange airplane-like moves in past games. Lu Meng: one of my favorite characters. he's the warrior-scholar whos look now emphasizes the latter aspect of his character. i like it. Wang Yuanji: this is a new one for me. shes cute, but shes also got that look about her that tells me shes probably gonna be a sinister *****. idk, maybe thats just me. Sima Yi: boy, hes really working those pastel colors. i swear this guy looks less threatening with every new appearance, but i guess that works in his favor since he is the type that would make you think that. i still think he would look cooler if he appeared similar to how he was in the ROTK tv series. Deng Ai: looks cool, but i was wondering for awhile who the hell else he looked like because he definitely reminded me of another game character. then i realized who he was reminding me of. Jecht. looks like there will be Blitzball in the Three Kingdoms. start recruiting for your team. Zhong Hui: yikes, another yaoi renegade. i imagine that the song "Always" by Erasure plays everywhere he walks. "We must stop that music before we all start behaving strangely!" ah, classic AngryGoran. i watch too much Nunu Bot show... Ding Feng: whoa, hes rocking the Balrog hairdo! i wonder if this guys fighting style is similar. looks like hed enjoy knocking some fools out with a fist or two. Hideyoshi from Sengoku Basara anyone? Zhou Yu: looking paler than ever. i wonder if they're trying to make him look like a sexy vampire man? Zhu Rong: oh yeah....gotta love those Nanman chicks. Meng Huo: no longer a flabby fortress, hes now the great wall of muscle. good for him. Jia Xu: kinda reminds me of Malzahar from League of Legends, but without the taint of the Warp. i mean the Void. Taishi Ci: hes like a Spartan, but with about 95 percent less homo-eroticism. Yuan Shao: oh snap, its Vincent Price! in all seriousness though, this was the most surprising and drastic change i noticed of all the "familiar" characters. i like it. Zhang He: *sigh*.....give him boobs already. Liu Chan: hmm...he doesnt look inept enough. this is another character i think would look better if he were more similar to his t.v series counterpart. i could actually see Xu Zhu being a better base model for him, but not quite as fat. Sun Quan: i dont think i wouldve been able to tell this was him if the pic wasnt labeled. he has a Lu Bu face, but no Sun Quan mane (in other words, facial hair). not even a propeller hat. dont like.Lu Bu: holy hell. this almost works for me. id rather see the removal of that cloth/sash thing hanging from his side and the addition of a badass cape. or no cape. in any case, the armor and trademark phoenix feather headdress does enough to say "Don't f**k with me" Cao Pi: i like it. i think the look does him justice. its a little more simple than this DW5 look (which is the only look of his im familiar with) but not so simple that it doesnt make him look princely. Huang Gai: arrrrgh, the hot pants! in his old age he shouldnt be wearing such things. leave that to the Zhang He's and Zhong Hui's of the world. give this veteran officer is dignity!!!! |

Is this where we can say our impressions on the new designs? I have to say that the new designs have nearly blown me off the chair, for the most part. I would like Yue Ying with a skirt better, though, and Ma Chao's helmet could look more dragon-like. Since Nu-Wa was in DW3 I wonder if she'll be in this game as well. She doesn't need much redesigning, though. |

Nu Wa has absolutely nothing to do with the story of the Three Kingdoms. Moreover, she's not a character of the Dynasty Warriors firm. Now, she's 100% to the Warriors Orochi firm. KOEI also confirmed months ago that there would be no guest characters. So, no Nu Wa, Fu Xi, etc. |

I really like Zhen Ji's appearance this game. DW6 seemed lazy for her and I enjoyed the improvements they made with it. I would love if they made a DW4 dlc costume for Zhen because that was my favorite appearance of hers. |

Nu Wa is actually a chinese goddess and since Romance of the Three Kingdoms contains mythology it's not that far fetched to include her. But if they're keeping her out it's ok. I can roll with that. I haven't finished reading the book yet, though, so it's hard to argue if she has a place in the game or not. |

Yeah I noticed that around here, but her DW6 costume was too simple, same with DW5. A lot of people were saying they didn't like she was wearing pants this time but I think it works especially with the shoes and over jacket thing. I also like the whole peacock feather theme, its pretty cool. And as for DW4 it made her look regal and high class!

I actually like Lawson Yuanji's new costume. I wonder if they'll make a special 'present day' warriors edition. I think it would be hilarious to have Lu Bu fighting in a tuxedo or have Xiahou Dun look like a construction worker.

I don't know if this has been asked before but do you have to unlock the DW6 outfits in the game or do you have to pre order it or something to have there DW6 outfits? |

I meant that the ones that are going to be in the game, are DLC and not unlockable. We know that DW6 is out now in Japan and DW 4 and 5 Free DLC packs are planned for future release. Some DW1 outfit have been released as well as preorder bonuses. There is a good chance eventually all of the games from DW1-6 will have their outfits available as DLC but the above is all that has been confirmed by Koei. |
