And still you won't tell us, what exactly you find original about Green. I would really appreciate it if you could answer the question, thus I'll ask it again: In what way is green original? Edited by Surtur, Sat Oct 9, 2010 7:51 pm.

Zhao Yun: I much prefer to DW6. There, at least it has more colors on it, and lots of green! In the end, I like his haircut, which fits well with the rest, I think. Lu Xun: Perfect! I did not expect an outfit like that, but ultimately, it is very successful. |

Zhao Yun looks kind of more feminine that i would have prefered and the new Wei addition looks like hes been inspired by arabians of old . All in all though ive no complaints about any of the appearances... to be honest im more interested in the weapons they will be wielding that their overall appearances as thats what will have more factor in whether i play them often or not on the actual game.

Out of all the characters shown so far, new Shu girl, Zhen Ji and Lu Xun are by far may favourites. Shu girl - I think she brings something new to Shu in terms of looks, since they're all mostly covered and she hardly has anything on, I don't think she's too pale either - I prefer pale skin though ... I like her hair and the tattoo, maybe they could have covered her up a bit more though ... Zhen Ji - I like the peacock look and the jeggings, prefer this one to her DW6 if I'm honest, I think she looks really different and I don't think she looks too thin either. Lu Xun - definitely my favourite - I love the pirate look he's got. I wasn't a fan of his braids but the rest of his outfit looks amazing, definitely better than 6 in my opinion. |

Ops, i already shared my opinion on DW 7 main thread, but overall i don't like them much, i stay with DW 6 and 5 looks. I cannot wait to see Lu Bu's look!, i hope they change a bit his full armoured look of DW 6, i prefered the look of DW 5.

From what I read here and there, there are also other fellow members who love the DW4 designs. Nice to know that many still appreciate the style that made KOEI designs and characters stand out, from my point of view and for my taste. As for the new characters I had a similar reaction (I think I posted it somewhere in the "Dynasty Warriors 7" thread), and unfortunately it seems that we won't see other newcomers like Yue Ying (I mean the original Yue Ying), Cao Ren and Zhou Tai soon. Another thing, now I have definitely given up hope to see in the DW series characters like Hu Zhi or Xun Yu from Kessen II. At least my impression is that KOEI is "prettifying" also the characters that weren't meant to be "pretty", so I don't really think that a strong-looking woman like Hu Zhi or a fully-armoured female general like Xun Yu would find a place next to scantily dressed girls. |

I like full-armored females. My favorite character of all koei-Games so far is Tachibana Ginchiyo Gosh, she is great! Proud, hot-headed, self-sufficient and looks fabulous, with an insanely great move set. Well, I hated how she acted in SW3. She is not supposed to depend on her husband, but instead he should struggle to earn her respect and he should have a hard time struggling. Now that kind of character, a strong, independent, self-sufficient woman, is what DW lacks. They once had Zhu Rong, but she got cut out (Shame on you, koei!!!) and she did not wear full armor anyway. SSX on the other hand once was pretty cool, but she somewhat turned out rather disappointing in DW6 (you heard this voice? *Shudder*). Thus I'd really like to see Zhao Yuns wife as a heavy armored female warrior with some kind of serious weapon, not some toy, fan, music instrument or whatever. I think Koei done a good job recreating their new appearance.. seriously it looks nicer than previous DW characters appearance. Lu Xun no longer look gay.. lols Zhou Tai, woahh!!! love it.. Others are quite okay.. Though Zhao Yun has no much difference.. but still, it's nicer than DW6's.. Now, am so eager to see Gan Ning's new appearance. My gosh~ |

I'm sure I'm gonna get some grief for this but don't you think Zhao Yun has a similar kind of look to Taki in Soul Calibur minus the big breasts? I still like his design though, he looks great!

Zhao Yun- Its pretty much a remix of previous costumes. Is not as awesome as 6, but is kinda regular. Xiahou Dun- My fave one, i'm gladly satisfied he's not with that pretty-boy hair. The armoris ok, but worse than 6. But what worries me is the weapon lol Zhou Tai- Surely the best one. A big change, but he did not lose the essence. The armor looks great, fitting with the wild look. Lu Xun- More mature, but less stylish. The darker hair doesn't fit, but the costume- a refresh from dw5 - give some point Cao Pi/New Character?- Assuming hes Cow Pee, its a comeback version from dw5 (hair color, face), but too flamboyant for him. The armor gives the look of a king, a fits for Cao Wei's son. Zhen Ji- Didn't like it. Not as sexy nor beautiful as older versions. And the face...looks like Xing Cai New Character (shu) - Simplistic design, but nice design (the scarf looks nice). I wonder who she will be... New Character (Wei) - Nice costume, but i've seen this face before...look a little like Guan Ping? Overall, they are creative and unique designs that represents the atmosphere of each game. But i'm afraid these designs became less and less chinese. I think dw6 was too much of anime designs than the military ones in dw2-5. In this one, i think the inspiration comes from MMO rpgs, epecially in the armors of Zhao yun, Xiahou Dun and Cao Pi. Thats not a bad thing, but i was a real fan to the series thanks to these historical elements in character design... Edited by Dian Kai, Fri Oct 15, 2010 3:23 pm.

*votes for new character rather than Cao Pi* I really like Zhen Ji's new outfit. Though her previous one was equally nice, it's cool to see some new style changes. The new Shu girl seems quite interesting as well. Great to see some more Shu girls, though Wei kingdom is still lacking some females. I wonder what weapon she'll be using.. I prefer Zhou Tai when he was more samurai like.. Xiahou Dun - favourite so far. You brought back the long hair, bb! ;A; |

I kind of like them, it's just with each game, characters are becoming androgynous lady boys. I mean look at Zhang He in 3 compared to 6. I just kind of worry about the design choices. |

So far I am not too impress with the designs. Only Zhou Tai, Dun, and Xun are the only ones that are semi decent and appealing to me in one way or another. I worry that I am not going to be impressively happy with the Sun men designs when they are/if released since those are the only designs I want to see at this point.

Well I suppose I should give more specific opinions. Zhao Yun- In terms of the armour I like it. More greens this time around so you can distinctly affiliate him with Shu. What I don't like is his hair. I really don't think the high ponytail suits him and the fringe is nowhere near as good as DW6's Xiahou Dun- ...I'm not sure what they're trying to go for with his hair. I much prefer the choppy DW6 look, but the rest of him looks fine, nothing to complain about really. Lu Xun- Well they're keeping him pretty androgynous face and hair wise. His outfit looks a little more naval/pirate-ish with the whole two tailed jacket thing which is cool, but the six pack thing looks silly. Zhou Tai- Well nothing much I can say about him really. I've always found his designs to be a little plain, and this one is no different. I suppose it's nice to see they haven't done any radical changes. Zhen Ji- No complaints here. Elegant as usual and the peacock feather thing she has going on is quite cool. Which actually worries me because it could easily be Zhang He. Cao Pi(?)- Going with the assumption that he is Cao Pi, I don't like the hair change. It's a little too fabulous for Cao Pi. The outfit itself looks pretty awesome though. New Wei- He looks a little on the plain side, no elaborate armour but the whole arabic style of clothing is pretty cool. New Shu- Pretty nice overall. Her design is somewhat simple, and her fringe isn't too great. |

I'm worried about what Zhang He is gonna look like for this. I'm actually scared.----- I don't like the new Shu girls' outfit. I would prefer if she had more clothes on and I don't like her making the devil sign with her right hand. She looks like Oichi and her hair is nice, too. Green eyelashes, what's next? Blue hair? I like Zhen Ji's peacock clothes. She looks really pretty. I like how her hair is put up, but I do wish her clothes weren't so revealing. But it's not that bad compared to the new Shu recruit. If Zhao Yun were to be going out naked, I'm sure this Dynasty Warriors would have a M rating. Sure it's not as good compared to the last one he had in 6, But I really like it. Zhou Tai's is in need of that mouth piece he has in Dynasty Warriors 4. It would look great with this outfit, or at least it would redeem it. It's alright, though. The Wei recruit looks like a normal kung fu fighter. He looks average, could have that jacket of his closed, but has nice hair. I like Lu Xun's look, but I wish he had a shirt under the one he is wearing. Now I am sure my brothers would love Xiahou Dun's new look. The coat, the eyepatch, and the hair is an A+. If that is really Cao Pi (I believe it is), then I am very impressed. I like that little mask around his left eye. He really looks like an Emperor. ----- I am just realizing something. Are these the default characters that we are going to start out with in 7? Isn't that how things were for 6? The first characters we saw were the default characters you start out with for 6. So this has to be the default set of characters you start with in 7----- Holy cow, they are Sima Yi's sons! And we thought Sima Shi was Cao Pi. Welcome Sima Zhao and Sima Shi. So it's Sima Shi, the mask is a very nice touch. Zhao Yun: Armour seems good but not sure about the hair. Bit bland overall Lu Xun: Dislike pigtails hairstyle, really do. Top is good, bit too much chest for my liking but I'm happy with it but trousers looking like jeans feels a bit wrong Zhou Tai: Hate the helmet but rest is pretty nice Xiahou Dun: The robe/trousers/that thing on top of shirt combo is one of my favourites of the ones shown so far, love the colour and design. The haircut is awful though |

Zhao Yun: I really don't like the hair style. It just doesn't match. Now he looks too similar to Zhou Yu in DW6. They should keep him fully armored similar to DW6. That outfit by far was the best. Sima Shi: Love the outfit. Looks very fitting, especially with the mask. But he somewhat looks like Motochika Chosokabe(guy with the guitar from Orochi Warriors). Zhao Tai: I think they could of made his helmet diffrent though. Maybe even got rid of it and just gave him a headband piece. Helmet just doesn't really match the outfit. Lu Xun: Good looking outfit. Not much to say other than the pigtails. Those can go. Xiahou Dun: I like the robe look. Hairstyle is banging. I like what they did with his character. He looks more cleaned up, compared to the shaggy look he has maintained from the previous games. Bao Sanniang: Not much to say about hers, seeing as how there isn't much ON her. But I must say, I like the buterfly tatoo by her hip. Very sexy. Zhen Ji: Her outfit I like as well. The peacock theme looks very good on her. I just think their showing too much skin on her. Sima Zhao: I like the design of this guy. His outfit pratically screams out his personality. |

If you're going to complain about that at least know what the devil's horn sign LOOKS like before complaining. Forefinger and little finger fully extended, middle, ring finger and thumb held in. This, however, is the "I Love You" sign originally used in sign language but now a more universal sign. |

Rather, he immediately reminded me of SW3 Muneshige Tachibana =). Anyway, if you were thinking of the decoration on Motochika's face, it could certainly remind of Sima Shi's mask. |

(Right click this and choose open in new tab or window)![]() Well....Zhen Ji's hair is in a bun. Looks elegant and her entire outfit fits. She looks like a female jester or modernized witch to me for some reason. She looks very..."magical" LOL in this pic. She does like white now. Like a white european jester lady, especially with the feather hat that reminds me of a fedora and those skinny jeans and heels. Man...she looks so different in this time around, yet it still looks gorgeous. I really like Sima Shi's look also. At first I thought he was Cao Pi and that he and Zhen Ji's out had a european, jester feeling to it. Her fedora like hat, and his mask. And both of their hairstyles also augmented my feelings on that. I FRAKING HATE LU XUN's PIGTAIL THINGYS, LIKE WTF! Everything else on him is fine though. lolBao Sannaing, looks really nice. I guess I really like her, because her look reminds me of Gracia and her weapon reminds me of Takenaka Hanbei, 2 characters I really love. My Wishes: Diao Chan: I hope her hair gets longer, not shorter like Zhen Ji. Diao Chan just looks like a character who needs long flowing silky hair, this quality imo, doesnt really fit someone like Yue Ying even-though it did look really good. I think someone like Diao Chan could rock it much better being a sultry dancer and seductress and all. Id say, make her hair just as long as DW6 Yue Ying or a bit longer and i would be happy. But of course stylize it with beautiful ornaments and in some unique style. I really dont know wat i want for her outfit though. lolol im just EXTREMELY curious to see wat her new look is. Zhuge Liang: Keep his look similar to his DW6 look. It was perfect. I hope he aged as well. Sima Yi: Hmmm...since both of his sons are complete adults in this game, i believe its safe to assume that Sima Yi is gonna be much older in this game. So...this one is gonna be interesting to see how he aged. The Qiaos: More mature and older too! PLEASE KOEI!!!! but probably wont happen....lolol still if it does happen, keep their different personalities. Da being the more precocious one, Xiao being the more cacophonous one. Pang Tong: A moth? Really? LOL His look in DW4 was the best imo. I hope he reverts to some kind of like....wise old sorcerer in disguise as a sully poor old merchant type look. LOL idk.... Dong Zhou: Make him look hideous! Worse than DW6. Zhang He: I hope they drop the borderline drag queen thing they got goin for him and revert him back to something more similar to his look in DW3. Which btw looks alot like Vega.... To lazy to think bout anyone else right now. Edited by Keneticam, Wed Oct 27, 2010 6:27 pm.
