Sorry if this was made before but, Will Dynasty Warriors 7 come to America for PS3. I see people asking for Xbox360 but i was curious if it was coming to America at all. If anyone knows or has any logical speculations as to if and around when, info would be much appreciated.

At this point, no one but Koei knows. I'd say at least wait for the game to be released in Japan first, THEN worry about it's overseas release.

Why wouldn't it be released in America? It's only just been announced, plus it's way bigger in Asia than it is elsewhere, which is why the US (or any coutnry outside Asia, mind you) has not been mentioned.

Probably, they sell a hefty near 200,000 copies alone from the PS3 for a Warriors game, I don't think any company would pass that up. It's definitely not close to the, what is it? Well over 600,000 copies sold in Japan, but hey! It's something.

Well, if Koei decided to be a bunch of douchebags and not wanting to go through the 'hassle' of localizing it, but seeing as every other DW game (well, except that Mahjong game a couple of years back) has made it to the states, we can assume the chances are this one going overseas is likely, at least.

If not, then I'm importing. It'll suck not know WTF they're saying, but I did it with DW6, I can certainly do it again.

No worried dude ;) Most people are super excited atm too. We've just gotta be patient though, the game's not coming out anytime soon, even in Japan...

Hm...Taking just a plain guess I'd say Summer '11 for the US. Companies are getting way faster at dubbing games now so it seems plausible. DW6 came out in December for JP then came out the following February/March overseas. :3

If that was referred to Jan Sangokumusou, it was released more than a couple of years ago. At the beginning of 2006, if I remember well.
It's a pity that it wasn't translated and released in Western countries: especially the various expressions that every character showed depending on the situation were fun. *It was so funny seeing Cao Ren laughing like that (in the category: what you would never have hoped to see Cao Ren do)*
Well, I suppose mahjong games aren't so popular in Western countries. Fortunately, we have always been lucky with the main DW games.

With a more-or-less confirmed EU release, I don't see why Koei wouldn't release it in NA.

If they already have it dubbed by the time the Japanese version is released, as this EU date is suggesting, then the US has no reason to delay any longer, right? Seems odd that is would be simultaneous. Don't all Japanese games release locally first?

Announcing a simultaneous release for Europe and Japan is kinda surprising, but don't let the lack of NA announcement bother anyone here in the states & Canada.

KOEI US has been through a LOT of personnel changes in the past year or so in their sales & marketing dept (2-3 people at least have resigned or moved on, IIRC) so they are no doubt under a lot of pressure to keep things moving ahead.

As a result, a lot of the regular press announcements and fan interaction (KOEI Forum, Twitter, FB, etc.) have been either missing or at least less active when compared to Europe (Chin is a machine :OMG: ).

Just give them time to recover and get back into the swing of things and I'm sure we'll see some more activity from them as Fist of the North Star is released (probably their main focus right now) and they can focus better on DW7 ^_^

Import the EU version, simple as that.

I find KOEI's EU announcement surprising, but humorous at it! EU has always been on KOEI's "Last to get, they can be more patient" list. Now since SW3, KOEI shows more sympathy to a more sober EU, than the ever complaining NA.

As I hold personal grudges against America (Not NA as a whole), I wouldn't give a load of they won't get it. But of course every KOEI fan should be able to enjoy this game. It will be very likely that DW7 will go to NA, only just later on.

So yes, I'd love to take the following words in my mouth (And fingers):

Have some patience, it'll come sooner or later. :hehe:

Anyways, the release date (month) just came out today, no need to freak out. TKE has often given their release date first, but doesnt even mean it will come out there first. They announced the release date for Fist of the North Star before TKNA did, and guess what, its coming out 3 days before it is in Europe. So an announcement of a release date doesnt mean anything.

I think everyone is basing this off of SW3, which was published by Nintendo, so this is a completely different case.

THIS 100 times over. People were freaking out over Hokuto Musou thinking it wasn't coming to USA. Koei USA is just slow to announce things, and has been for years. IIRC some of the American versions of the sites still aren't even updated. But they still all come out in North America.

I'd say it would be release in the US sometime in May of 2011 seeing as how Europe has it's release date set to March 2011

I don't know much about EU versions of Japanese games. Do they have English voices or Japanese voices with English menu text and subtitles? If so, whats a good website to import such games?

EU version should be the same as NA version. Usually, only a few things are different between the two and they are often minor differences. (e.g. Kaihime's cover cleavage  )

Every once in awhile, due to ratings issues, some content can be removed from certain versions (a certain SW2:XL cutscene comes to mind) but that's probably the worst case.

Not really a major issue, but I must point out that American spelling is used in EU versions. Anyway it should come out for NA.

Not for a long time after the EU release though, if NA ends up being the only one to have a 360 version <_<

because nobody in europe ever complains. if they're doing an english version in europe than more than likely do an english version in the U.S mind you us americans don't speak every european language. i'm pretty sure that koei would how you say "give a load" since they would lose a fourth of their fans and money. but anyhow yes it's guarenteed to come to the US, koei has learned they're lesson since DW6.
