Mt. Hiei wasn't even a battle. And we already got Ise-Nagashima in SW1.
Neither was the assault on the Saika...

I've been thinking lately about why Koei decided they didn't want to portray the fights against the Ikko Ikki anymore. I suppose it goes against the direction they want to take this version of Nobunaga in, where this Nobunaga isn't so much the ruthless Demon King as usual and he is a sort of anti hero. Such a direction that really became noticeable when he seemed to be the de-facto heroic leader in Warriors Orochi (mostly I'd say because in SW2 I don't think it was all that apparent).

The Ikko Ikki fights are some of the big things many people point to as for Nobunaga being the 'evil dude'. Without putting so much attention on it, though, we have seemingly random Mitsuhide bouts of doubt in both Kizugawa and Tetorigawa (where in SW2 it was at Saika Village and SW1 it was all over the darn place). Perhaps part of the problem may be that the Ikko Ikki aren't so much portrayed as being a Bad Thing.

So, while I think Koei should go back in that direction, they also need to show us why having the Ikko Ikki around wasn't such a Good Thing.

This. Very much this.

Regarding Kennyo, I always imagine him as a hybrid of Kiyomori and Zhang Jiao.

It would be a good addition indeed. ^_^

I really hope to see Kojiro Sasaki and Musashi Miyamoto. At least they are playable in Free mode, it would be nice. I have a little hope for the return of Goemon Ishikawa, too. As for Kennyo Honganji, I think he can do his appearance in Samurai Warriors 4. Finally, there is time to see it happen, it.

now that would be pretty cool , i know somebody might have said this already but how about Katakura Kojūrō or Mogami Yoshiaki for Masamune ? as one was his most trusted retainer and yoshiaki was his uncle

For Masamune, he should really an ally, I think it is much too lonely... Yoshihiro like, anyway.

SW1 story modes are among the best story modes in the entire warriors franchise, in my humble opinion.

Anyway, as for characters beside the ones we know now, any Sanada would be a fantastic addition. I also think that another Chosokabe would be a fine addition, so Nana gets approval.

Famitsu leaks usually come out about late night every Tuesday (EST). However, there is no guarantee that this week's issue will have any new SM3 Z/XL info. Thus, we just have patiently wait and see what happens. Waiting for GM3, SSM6, and SM3 Z/XL info at least gives me something to look forward to every Tuesday night :hehe: .

Nana would be a good addition as an ally of Chōsokabe Motochika. Sanada Nobuyuki I would also like to be added. It is requested for quite some time, him.

In the past theyve tended to have Magoichi Saika as that "friendly ally" role when you play as him. I see no need for him to have any allies to his story to be honest as he is interesting enough on his own background without giving him a Kanetsugu or Aya esc character just to add more character to his forces.

Consider me biased but i would rather they enchanced the forces of the Tokogowa personally... Masanori, Hanzo, Tadakatsu and Ina alone dont even come close to the amount of unique playables KOEI have given to Nobunaga in the game.

I just feel that it is the purpose of KOEI what to give at least one ally to each character. As we look closely, almost all the clans have been entitled to a woman Aya for Uesugi, for exemple.

He was indeed asking, but the scans came out just last week. People need to be more patient and just wait for the information to be released, which is what Xalfrea was trying to say.

I wonder if they will include more CAW pieces in this version. Would be cool if they did. Hoping for online play as well.

Hey, I've been saying this since the scans came out, I would be VERY happy if we even just got CAW styles for Musashi and Kojiro. I loved their moveset, and if they don't want to include the characters again, fine, but that would be extremely awesome.

Although would be a little happier if they surprised us with a couple more free mode characters. 3 new additions (which are HARDLY new...) just seems way too light for an XL/Z.

If Kojiro and Musashi are back, we will already be 5 characters, even if they are not new. Maybe 1 or 2 new characters?

Well, we had 6 for SW2XL. Toshiie, Motochika, Gracia, then Kojiro and Katsuie playable with Yoshimoto returning.

This would work out well, as we'd have: Aya and Masanori finally playable, Gracia, Kojiro, Musashi AND they could totally shock us and return Goemon, ala Yoshimoto last game xD

Meh, it's nice to dream. :P

It would be a good idea. We could not really new characters but I think Goemon again, it might be nice. This meant that Kennyo side and they could include it in Samurai Warriors 4. It has to wait...

I don't realy care if we get Kojiro and Musashi back...

Imo, the two of them are like DW's mystic carries. They're more so 'folk heroes' (for lack of a better word) than anything else. Same goes for Goemon.

And yes, I am aware they are both real people. :<
