It just a quick tempory cover for the game until a design a better one. Gamestop did the same with with Sengoku Basara 3 or Sengoku Basara Samurai Heros in NA to display that you could preorder it and that tempory one did not last long until they came out with the real cover art.

It looks a bit....I don't know.....ugly. And plain. But mostly ugly.
Not to mention it's ugly. I dunno, looks too much like some fan made it in MS paint. Would be surprised if that was the actual cover. Is that the website of the person who made this I see in the corner?
Jeebus, I'm not the only one who thought it looks like it was made in MS Paint? :kurokan:

Either way, cover art is cover art.....even if it IS ugly cover art.....

The cover art looks okay to me but I prefer it when it has characters on it, (except when it's Yukimura though) but it's not that bad ^_^

I've just got to ask since I never played SW3 on Wii much, except for Ginchiyo and Nobunaga's story modes in the Japanese version... I was just wondering, is Hideyoshi still all serious and stuff? In the first Samurai Warriors, he was less of a serious character and acted more like what Nobunaga was calling him at the time, but was still a genius. The most memorable cutscene for me from SW1 is still Hideyoshi dancing around on that castle screeching in that singsong Japanese monkey voice, haha.

I'm guessing that with SW3, they're still doing the "Honest and capable ruler that everyone gets along with" thing that they started in SW2?

Also, on another note...is this game more lighthearted like SW2, or does it have more of a dark hopeless sort of feeling like SW1? I still love the earlier Warriors games where they seemed to take it seriously, but they started joking around and killing the atmosphere around Dynasty Warriors 5, IMO.

Ive been trying to find this out as well, but from all the forums Ive looked at the general concesus seems to be that Samurai Warriors 3 Z isnt getting a US release due to an alleged remark by Koei that the 'Z' titles were Japan exclusives. If anything we're probably going to get dumped with the Wii version and the PS3 version will stay in Japan.

I hope to God it isnt true though, mostly since Gracia's finally back.

I had thought that Musou Orochi Z was just JP exclusive because of SCEA, not anything that Koei did. Other than...what was it, a price dispute? Still, SW3 has not been released on any Sony platform before, so chances are it will come out over here. I'm still gonna import though, just in case.

I kinda hope SM3Z gets some ps3 exclusive contents, since Wii already have Murasame Castle.

Ugh. Not a chance. Even though the only thing it's getting is a new mode to replace Murasame. I am so freaking sick of seeing expanded new content versions of games for the PS3. Everything just HAS to be for the PS3. I can't stand it anymore. Thank god a Wii version is also being released...

What is your problem with people porting games to the PS3? What is so wrong about it? You been saying this a lot in both the DW7 topic and the SB3 forum, and now here.

You honestly didn't see this coming? And if anything this is for the better, since those getting the PS3 version don't have to deal with the 30 FPS anymore.

I think I am one of the few people who like the 30 FPS deal with SW3 besides the fact that soldiers randomly appear and disappear in front of you. and for the Musashi and Kojiro fans, who knows, if KOEI does not add them back for Xtreme Legends/Z maybe they will do it for Empires. That is, if they make one.

I think the issue is the fact that "console exclusivity" that was so common in the old days is practically dead. Imagine if something like Epic Mickey was announced for PS3/360, people would naturally be enraged.

Honestly, I see no problem with porting games to other consoles. It's when extra content is added that it can be maddening. To those that got the original, it's like we're getting punished for having the wrong console or something. True, it's probably a move on their part to get more sales for the port, but it can be frustrating all the same.

Not to say that's quite the case here, given that so far the only difference we know of, aside from graphics and FPS(topics that had already been discussed enough, methinks), is whatever mode will replace Murasame.

Still, I can see how the possibility of more, since we don't know for certain yet, could be a bit frustrating.

It's a lil thing called "Early Buyer's Fee", to put it simply.

If you were willing to pay for the game when it first came out, good for you; you should hopefully have gotten your money's worth for your purchase. But the company is still likely to do something else in order to get more bank for their buck, because that's what they do.

I mean, I don't know how many people here were gamers back in the 90s, or perhaps some of you may have (conveniently) forgotten. But those of us were who should definitely remember the days when we had to pay upwards of 60-70 USD for a fighting game like SF2, just for Capcom to come out with an "update" sometime later for often the same price on even the SAME hardware. And let's not forget how some games were innately superior on one hardware platform or the other, or at least, certainly exclusive to one hardware platform or the other.

And honestly? It's not like things have changed that much in 20 years. Except now-a-days, a game gets ported/updated on another console, or is announced exclusively to one hardware platform, and people start losing their minds. Again, this seems to be a problem relating to a false sense of entitlement, in my opinion...

I'm not saying it's wrong of companies to do what they do. And I can understand why they do it. As for me, I've long learned to live with it, really. It's nothing new, and it's not likely to change anytime soon. Just saying that I can understand why it could piss off some people.

Eh, I used to let this sort of thing get me all bet out of shape, but... really, it isn't worth it to care anymore. The bulk of the game content is the same, or similar enough that it isn't worth it, most of the time. That part kind of depends on the particular game, and one's priorities as far as the changes involved, though.

At least, that's how I've come to think of it. People can go ahead and get upset if they want, it's not likely to change anything in the long run.

Which is the reason why it aggravates me. I don't like buying games and then having a super new expanded new content edition game on a separate console...
(Case in point being: Eternal Sonata, Star Ocean: The Last Hope, SW3, Vesperia, Graces, etc.)
Oh, and Ultimate Legend? Exactly when did I say anything in the SB thread? Are you mistaken?...

But anyway, regardless, it's also going to be on the Wii so whatever. My apologies for ranting.
