Lmao, I knew it wasn't a barbell, it was a rhetorical question.

Masanori's gonna be a freaking berserker.

Let's see,

Gracia, Aya and Masanori
Kotaro, Yoshimoto, Toshiie, Ranmaru, No, Okuni, Katsuie

Yep, that's all 10 new story modes. Which means its unlikely completely new characters will be announced.

Hey, that's still 10 stories. That's MORE than enough, I think. Any more characters, and that's Koei being awfully gracious to us. I, for one, am content with this.

Then again, I'm on quite the euphoria thanks to DW7 Lu Meng, so not many things can deter my good mood today.

Anyway the modes for SM3Z are:

Musou Mode
Free Mode
Sengoku History Mode (Wii DLC where you play as CAW and roam across Sengoku Historical battles)
Udetameshi Mode (Much like Challenge mode)
Soushi Mode or Fantasy Mode (Random generated scenarios and build your glory, yeah we've seen that in Xtreme mode)
Samurai House or Dojo (2nd Unique weapons added, weapon attributes can be changed like SW2XL, editing colors etc)
If this is all confirmed then my hype just shot through the roof. I absolutely loved the weapon system and mercenaries mode in 2 XL, so them seemingly bringing these both back (or tweaking them for new implementations) = Ultra hype.

My biggest complaints about SM3/SW3's gameplay were the weapon system, element system, lack of Resilience ability and the framerate. So far at least 1 of 4 has been fixed. Only 3 more to go and 3Z will be perfect in my eyes, .

Also, GOOD RIDDANCE MURASAME CASTLE! I HATE YOU WITH SUCH A BURNING PASSION  ! Hopefully the unique armors, Matsukaze and the Bear are unlockable in a much less frustrating manor now  .

Yeah this is great news. I already have the wii version but I'll have no problem buying this if it comes out in english. I really don't care for murasame castle so it shan't be missed.

Very excited for the FMO characters getting stories, fantasy mode, and new ultimate weapons to unlock. I'm just paranoid we won't get it :(

hmmm, though i am upset at the murasame castle being removed, maybe we can unlock the murasame castle character costumes like in the wii version of SW3. maybe even include a Takamaru and Ayame costume set

: D

Would be cool, very unlikely, but cool.

That would be nice, I actually like some of the boss designs of Murasame, but there's not even 1% of a chance of it coming to SW3Z.

Regardless, thank you Koei. You've got my November to March packed with all your games. I'm sorta glad I didn't buy SW3 early now

Some official confirmation, sliiiiiiick. The 'Z' itself makes me a bit wary though, with what happen to Musou Orochi Z and all. I'm hoping that there is some way for this to be ported to the West. By some loophole or by some machination. As long as it does and as long it sees a concurrent 360 release when it arrives here. Microsoft has seen SW1 and SW2. Why deny it SW3? :hehe:

I'm indifferent to Gracia, having never played her before but I'm glad that the FMO characters are getting musou modes. I'd like to think that some though some thought is being put into them and we get some good tales.

*shrugs*

There's still the people pissed off about the two swordsmen not returning, but I'm with you, I'm pretty euphoric with a DW, SW, and GW triple mega news batch. I'm definitely satisfied.

Technically couldn't Musashi and Kojiro return as FMO characters. Right now we just have confirmation of 10 new stories, 3 of which belonging to the 2 previous NPCs and returning Gracia. I wouldn't mind much if those two did return as FMO, however at the same time this game already looks to have enough to entice me to get it regardless of if they are in or not. Koei might as well save SOMETHING for Empires right? :hehe:

I'm disappointed that Masanori doesn't have a board with a nail in it.

Well, actually I'm disappointed that an XL even exists, but if we get the remaining characters story modes it won't be that bad.

Take note that since Z will have HD support and be on PS3, I highly doubt it'll still be a 30fps runner. That'll probably be a big draw for some people.

With Gundam Musou 3 having 4 player online coop, SM3Z and DW7 better have full online coop then! Having online coop ONLY for Murasame in 3 was like a swift kick in the nuts.

If you keep using that euphemism you may find you lack said nuts.

People tend to forget that MOZ was actually planned for the Western markets but was canned for some reasons that had been discussed before so I'm not gonna go there again. SW3Z is different. The PS3 and Xbox 360 never got SW3 so I don't see why Koei wouldn't release SW3Z outside Japan.

Glad to know all FMO (in which most of them are from Oda clan) are finally given a story of their own. Want to know if Koei can pull another simultaneous release for this game? :sly:

Well, now that I think about it. The game's 30fps flow did have to do with a lot of my lack of interest toward the game. So I guess I ain't counting this Z out yet. If it makes it overseas, I still may very well buy it.

There's still SCEA (and Microsoft, too, if they factor in) themselves to consider. One of the main reasons MOZ was not released over here (if not possibly THE main reason), was because SCEA was not willing to allow Koei to release what was basically a compilation of updated/upscaled PS2 games for full price. Koei, obviously, did not see eye-to-eye with having to settle for budget pricing.

SM3Z may be operating under different circumstances, but a lot of the former case still does apply. SCEA or MS may not exactly be moved by what basically boils down to "last year's Wii game with a few extras". So it's not just a matter of what Koei will or won't do.

Im liking Gracia's new color scheme, indeed relates to her father, but i'll miss the lack of Kojiro and Musashi. ;_______;

Masanori's weapon looks freaking awesome. Aya's too, hope all 3 have awesome and flashy Kaidens.

Oh and Murasame mode? Good freaking riddance.

And to finish this post....360 port please. :shifty:

I do really doubt these are the only new additions. You guys don't forget, this is Koei, master of drawing things out over many weeks.

Also anything unlocked in Murasame will proby just be unlocked in new stories....calling Matsukaze in Toshiie's Tale right now. ;D

Yeah, I know the reasons but like I said SW3Z is different. MOZ was a compilation of PS2/xbox360 games with extra stuff for the PS3. So Sony saw little incentive to release it for their HD console when Warriors Orochi isn't that popular in the West either. SW3Z on the other hand is first new SW game to hit PS3/xbox360 even if it's just an upgraded version of SW3. So SW3Z has more potential of selling in great numbers than MOZ. I don't see why Sony/Microsoft would object that.
