Calling it now, Ranmaru's story goes beyond Honnoji to the aftermath of Nobunaga's death where he meets Gracia at Yamazaki and they have to cope with what has happened with their lord/father figures.

Also!

I haven't really been following the game considering I just know there isn't going to be an EU or NA release  . Shame really, I would definately buy it if they did, they seems to have added a whole new bundle of cutscenes for these characters, suddenly the characters that got shafted have had the treatment they deserve, oh God, how much I'd love to play those stories, especially Katsuie's, man, this is so not fair  .

I'm also quite interested in what they're gonna do for Nohime, Okuni and Toshiie of course :) .

If Koei really wanted to impress, they'd release Z internationally. The Wii graphics just aren't cutting it. >_<

It really isnt hard. Almost all the data for the disc is already there! All they need to do is add english for the new characters. Hokuto Musuo had an international version. I heard Gundam 3 is too

Haha... the wonders that English Subtitles can do for games that aren't able to be localized....

Personally, I'd rather Koei do that then go through the trouble of localizing it really. That way, they will have all the time they need and then some, to focus on making the game as awesome as it can be.

But adding subtitles, unless it's a direct translation, is localization. Really, at that point, they may as well go the distance.

I dont really care, either way. Just put in subtitles im cool with that! But it cant be that hard since they have already done all the localization except for the few new characters!!

Yea the localization shouldn't be that hard. All they need to do would be the new characters and the extra cutscenes and stuff.

In a dliemma here. Should I buy sw3z and give the wii version to my cousin or get the xl?

You should for sure get Z if it gets an international version man. The 60 fps alone is worth it! No more slow motion attacks lol

So the main thing is that you're not sure if you want to start over from scratch or not?

Well I say why not. And if you ever need to play with super pimped out characters... then just pay a visit to your cousins house, and go a few rounds of offline cooperation with him, or her.

I'm going to be SUPER pissed if Koei don't release this in the U.S. ps3. What the hell are they thinking!!? This should have been ps3 international from the beginning!! And now I'll have to get a useless wii JUST FOR THIS, or a game that I won't be able to comprehend. NOT FAIR KOEI!! /rant

It wouldn't hurt to give us westerners a hint that we may be getting it, so we can stop crossing everything humanely possible just for a for sure chance of a us release.

Why do people always claim things as true when it is just that they fear so?
I mean, some claimed in the first place that the original SW3 wouldn't come to US/EU... And tried to prove wrong those who say the opposite!!!! Then came facts and it was released overseas. Other claimed (and flamed whoever said the opposite) that it would never be ported to PS3 for various reasons, some of them were interesting though, and then again fact is that it is ported!!

So please everyone, calm down!! It is not yet announced, Koei still works on the japanese version, so no wonder!! We can only wait for now.

I personnally wish an EU release. Anyone who tries to prove me wrong would be stupid. As long as koei hasn't said otherwise, there might be an overseas release. It cannot be excluded, as well as there is no certainty. That is all

Now can this board be back on topic, that is to say the game itself? Or will we suffer endless and pointless argument again and again?

You forget that there more to the game than just subtitles... There's also UI. And if you look at the japanese and western releases side by side, the UI had to change to fit the English. As far as the company cares, if it's not trying to release it outside of Japan, adding English is far more cost than it's worth.

The point is there ISNT that much cost cuz the US/UK version of SW3 for Wii already had BOTH Japanese and English. So why not just use those same texts?

Seriously Koei needs to just do an international version. That the ONLY version they need to release

sorry to get off subject but..... when is koei going to add kasuga as a SW team player finally i would love to see her have a fun and friendly rivalry with kunoichi or nene but she wouldn't have to be as    for kenshin unless koei wanted to make her that way i dont care i just want her to be a playable character in the SW series thats all im asking for koei has already answered my first wish by bringing gracia back ^_^

Kasuga? She is a fictional character. It has already Kunoichi. Have Kasuga in SW, it would be like stealing the character to Sengoku Basara (Capcom). I'd much rather see Mochizuki Chiyome, that she is not a fictional character.

Heck is it reaaaaaaly that much trouble to give her a freaking name? It's obvious she's an amalgam of the Sanada 10 Braves, why not name her after one of them instead just going for the generic term for female ninja?

yeah that may be but even still in my eyes it could be like a battle of the fictional ninja...... i may not understand everything about the two franchises and the game they (somewhat) share but kasuga to me would be the best thing in the world for SW because now the uesugi would have ninja character on there side plus a new female character!!! i for some reason tend to really dislike games that are to male dominated or to little female characters I.E fist of the north star i loved the game but i hated it was only one female character it almost had me cry :P

Kasuga is a character entirely made up by Capcom. For Koei to take her and use her in SW series would be theft/plagiarism and would result in a lawsuit that would probably rape Koei in the butt financially, then they'd go bankrupt and there would be NO MORE Samurai Warriors.

Certainly you don't want that now, eh?

Besides, the Uesugi already has Aya Gozen for their female role, and she's leagues better a character than that whorish kunoichi. SW does not need more ninjas, and certain not terrible ninja-hoes that bring down other characters with them(see: Kunoichi.)

Lol, would you take a kunoichi who also dresses in skimpy clothes but with a different name other than Kasuga though? That, Koei might be able deliver otherwise you're out of luck. Unless Koei and Capcom decided to do a SW-Basara crossover which would be really bizarre.
