Career mode can be quite repetitive, but can anyone confirm that once I complete the objectives can I just skip the remaining days? I just want unlock Matsukaze as soon as possible.

It's the second translation guide here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps3/611495-sengoku-musou-3-z/faqs

Might as well use most of those, they're rather helpful.

The clock slow down time and the combo counter will stay longer, at least I think so.....
No, it only affects to time. If you want combo counter to remain longer on the screen you're going to need a certain ability which can be obtained for gauntlets.

And while we're at it, anybody here know what a small blue box (has 3 golden circles on it) does? Played over 250 hours and still haven't figured it out :/ .
Oh!! I know!! It took me forever to find that one out. The blue box with the little gold crest makes the enemy soldiers around you fall down and tremble. It's like the most useless item in the game. =P
Sorry for a very late reply but wow, thank you. I was never able to figure that out and it does indeed sound pretty useless. If I really want enemies to fall down and tremble in fear, I'll just kill their commander and OHKO them with my mount afterwards :P.

I'm actually a little obsessed with mounted musou attack. Whenever I see a huge crowd of enemies, I can't help but to activate Musou. You can easily get 30-50 KOs and that always makes me feel very satsified :hehe: .

Bet you've already figured it out but the answer to your question is yes. You can skip the remaining days if you've already completed the main objective. And I even recommend to do that. Career mode takes about 3 hours to complete per run if you skip stages. Without skipping, it can easily take +5 hours.

Like i asked on the 3 XL, is importing this game to British Consoles legal and is it in Japanese?

Yes and yes, PS3 is region free, Wii isn't unless it's modded.

If you do import, you'll get charged tax when it goes through customs if it arrives as a package.

Also, could anyone provide a translation of the character's R1 abilities?

Several character's abilities are easy to figure out but there are a few where it is not so obvious.

I remember an old post that provided a translation but I have difficulty locating it.

And anyone experiencing game freeze ?
I sometimes face short game freezing (for 1 or 2 seconds) and even slowdowns but if total game freeze is in question, then no, I've never experienced anything like this.
I recall one unpleasant glitch: I installed the game on the hard drive and after that the console kept restarting each time I tried to exit the game. Luckily, the game update has eliminated the glitch.

I know the effects of all R1 abilities. Just name the characters and I'll explain their R1s for you :) .

Hmm, care to clarify Oichi and Hojo Ujiyasu's R1 abilities?

Oichi: Heals allies and restores Musou gauge (how much is restored depends how many allies you heal at the same time).

Ujiyasu: All attacks activate weapon's current element while fighting inside the gun powder cloud. If your weapon hasn't got an elemental attribute, then all attacks activate Wind element.

Yup. It's so sad. I've been spamming KOEI with e-mails and participated in the petitions, but well, I lost hope in KOEI to release this game overseas. :(

i find it funny that koei is releasing a psp game the same month that the ps vita is coming out. They shouldn't be wasting their resources on releasing sw3z on on old system. They should be allocating their resources elsewhere like releasing games warriors orochi 3 or sw3 empires overseas. i dont mean to sound overly negative but it kind of pisses me off. i apologize if i offended anyone

We better get it in the U.S.
I'm sick of the lack of SW love. I personally would prefer it over DW if it had nearly as many characters.

I think Koei didn't want to release the game this late, but couldn't release it any earlier as they were working on DW7 XL.

They aren't really "wasting" their resources on an SW3Z. They're just porting it to the PSP, which is a lot cheaper and faster than making a new game.

Don't forget that Koei apparently made a massive loss on SW3 when it came out on the Wii. If it didn't sell well in Japan, they aren't going to release it overseas, because it won't offset the costs.

i agree with u the characters in SW are better :D they better release it in the US but wat im worried about is that it is going to be the same as dynasty warriors 7 special which got released on the psp version only in japan :/

Why they're milking the SW3 series so much? They've been re-releasing the same game for like three platforms (Wii, Z and now PSP) yet there are hardly any changes gameplay wise.

And don't get your hopes up on getting this game in US/UK, because none of the SW3 spinoffs were released overseas (because of bad sales and reception).

Koei, please just ditch the SW3 and it's useless spinoffs and begin develop a proper next-gen game aka Samurai Warriors 4.
