yesterday i was watching the anime majikoi, and said to myself damn i want to play samurai warriors 3. but i'm not playing it on the wii (because i don't have one). damn guess i won't be playing it. don't want to import it, because i won't enjoy it to the fullest. you know the mistake here was making this game a wii exclusive. live and learn

The preorder bonus costumes for Mitsunari, Kiyomasa and Masanori only look to be recolours: http://www.gamer.ne.jp/news/201112270029/

They're also the exact same recolours that are available to them in MO2. Come on Koei. :/

No, maybe the 'mistake' was you would rather not play it at all than play it on the Wii. That's more your problem than anything.

The closest thing we'll get to SW3Z/3XL is Chronicles on the 3DS, since that includes Aya, Masanori, Gracia, the new music, and some of the new XL stages.

Plus, IMO Chronicles is a much better made game. It's worth Z/3XL not coming here.

The game I'm a bit more bitter about is SW3 Empires not coming here.
I have Chronicles, but I am too stupid to recognize the stages. What new stages are there?

Well, considering Koei apparently made some pretty big losses on this title, it would seem that making it a Wii exclusive was a loss to them as well.

LMAO @ THE LAG. This is why games like these should never be ported to PSP, it suffers really bad lag and the graphics is just awful!

I had to laugh. On the Main page of Koei Warriors (the News) there is this Video mentioned.. but there is the video of the One Piece game and I was likt 'What the hell? Samurai Warriors turned to One Piece?' :XD But it looks good to me... Well I'm not sure if this is coming overseas. But if it does, maybe I would buy it.. not sure.

does WO3/MO2 has the ultimate/shadow musous of the SW3 characters useable? if it doesn't then i might give SW3ZS a shot...

but if it doesn't then i'll just wait for WO3 instead, its basically DX7XL and SW3XL combined(sans the XL only DLC weapons), but with a different story, and i never cared much about the stories on DW and SW (BASARA had more interesting ones)

It's too bad, the stories in SW3 and DW7 are really good this time. I like BASARA too, but it doesn't really compare.

But yes, the ultimate musous of the SW3 characters are available except only during certain, specific circumstances.

- if their health is in the red
- if they have a certain RARE weapon skill attached to their weapon
- if they perform a double musou with a character with which they have a high bond

i bought DW7 and platinumed it, mind you (much, much faster and easier than platinuming SB3), the stories are meh, much of the characters does virtually nothing, some of the more interesting (and new) ones doesn't even have a story/appear in the story mode at all

and the SF style gameplay made the game very boring, a combination of reasons that made me refuse to get 7XL

i've played SW3 once, through indecent means(and it was very laggy), it looks okay, but as someone in this page says,i don't have a wii and doesn't have a plan to purchase one, ever(different case for 3DS, i'll get one when they finally find away to make it region free and has english versions of AA games again)

and thus, WO3 seems to be a great way to get the best of both games, seeing that both game's unique factors are now carried over(unlike the prequels, where DW characters can't musou rage and SW characters doesn't have their 2XL new attacks, which makes their only difference being their musou systems)

so, the SW ultimate musou only needs to be in red health/equivalent of DW's "old" true musou again?(DW7 lacks any true musou attacks AFAIK, wonder if they have one in WO3) IIRC in SW3 you need those shadow gauges to perform it...

The best incarnation of SW3 by far is Chronicles on the 3DS. Just putting it out there.

The 'Z' tittles never come overseas. They are exclusively for Japan. Since this one says Samurai Warrior's 3: Special, there might be a chance that it makes it overseas.

they did, once under the name of WO2's US/EU version for PSP, note that there's no WOZ for PSP, their version of maou sairin is just WO2 but with SF costumes for several characters, the US/EU version however, is MOZ with all it contents

so they could just easily name the game "samurai warriors 3 portable" and be done with it

So you wouldn't count this as Samurai Warriors portable then?

Could've fooled me. Still uses the same characters, gameplay, graphics, voices, stage layout, music, and continues using plotlines from SW3. In fact I'm inclined to say its superior to SW3 in every way.

I completely agree. Characters can go to ANY scenario, there are gaiden stages, you go through chapters, only missing stages are the one with the stone maze and....one other one which escapes me but they added new stages as well. There are also character events and each character gets their own. Also the graphics are VERY well done in my opinion. Plus you get all the things we missed in Z, including Aya, Masanori, and Gracia.
Plus they brought back Okuni's theme. :)

And nothing of value was lost. :shifty:

Well, okay, I do like the stage, I just hate the maze.

The same reason Nintendo still supports the DS despite the 3DS being on the market; there is still some life in it. Not to mention, there are likely still more people that own a PSP than a Vita.
