Well, I've been playing the DWO beta for some time now, it's just like the regular dynasty warriors you'd expect, except now it's focused for online, questing, walking back and forth for fetch questing, and crafting etc. Here are my pros and cons so far. PROS - Same DW gameplay - A good variety of quest - Huge amount of players - Co-op quests - Equipment for Head, Armor, Feet, Hands, and Capes(not yet) - Using flasks adds some strategic use to the game - Character creation is good - Lieutenant function is also good for helping you take some pressure (And better if you upgraded it using flasks, they will pummel soldiers) - Great graphics for a free game - Good, quick updates adding more content CONS - Poor community (ignoring others questions, almost mute to anybody except their buddies) - Same 2 BGM in almost all quests - Walking back and forward is tedious - The Central Plaza is way too large to walk through while trying to get from officer to quest location - Ugly lag when you are close to another player (when you can't see another player, it doesn't lag) - Lieutenants will NOT attack towers in bases, or barricades - Interface could use some work (when you go to the menu to select info, communication, etc, after selecting one, pressing back will completely close the screen) - Needs better work on friendlist - Most quests are tedious and some co op quests can not be completed unless you are good at DWO, effectively kicking out new DW players on co op quests I will add more if something comes to mind. Overall this game is great, I love the DW series, but it is pulled back by some flaws and a poor community. Right now where it stands, I'll give it a good 8.0/10 If anyone else has any critique or so about DW, reply here! |

I am more or less thinking about the same, but I've bolded a few cases in your list. The following: 1. Capes are in fact available, but only starting from Rear General (IIRC). I've seen one running around in Wei with a cape, so it definately is in. 2. It all depends on which side you are in. I have no clue about Wu, but I've read that Shu people are a tad on the arrogant side. Wei people seem quite helpful, though I must admit sometimes I sense a hint of sarcasm. 3. If the Lieutenants are running alone, they will try capturing bases and they have once cleared a barricade in my case. Though I'd like to prefer a wolf Lieutenant, since weaponholders can suddenly deform your massive group. For the rest, totally agree on your list. |

The Wu side helps out alot from what I've seen. I've also helped a few people out myself. |

My lieutenants was alone and was trying to run through the barricade O.o For capes, well that's kinda far isn't it @Celestial Well not for me, I've been asking questions right or left and never get a reply, because people seem to only hear their friends, or even when they are *alone* and speak out, after I ask something, they seem to shut their mouths. Although I did find 1 guy who sat at the instructors and answered questions where there were. I personally try to help others with some questions, but I seldom come across someone who asks anything either, and when they do, they are off my screen so I don't know if they're there or not. BTW, whats a wolf lieutenant, and how do you get one? Edited by Blaziruku, Sun Nov 14, 2010 7:39 pm.

The capes that the non-Rear General characters have, they got by exploiting the massive honor last week. They ranked up and got them after passing the promotion tests. When AG reset the honor to what it should be, they didn't strip the cloaks from them. |
